These tools work flawlessly as a efficient way to wind back brake caliper pistons on vehicles that have em on rear brake systems. I used this on a 2010 Mazda 3i. The instructions were incorrect as it called for disc #4 but I found that m worked flawless. The cost was worth it as it paid for itself on the 1st job & should provide many years of use as i progress as a mobile technician.

Just go done using this for my 2008 Ford Taurus X rear brakes and it worked like a champ. Better than the loaner tools I have gotten from the local auto parts store. I really liked the magnetic attachment of the plate. It is also handy to have both thread directions. If you go slow and easy keeping the clamp tight in the caliper, there is no problem quickly pushing it in. Nice to have a wrench fitting to help remove the clamp after compressing and to help keeping it tight as you move in. Has enough plate options to fit virtually any caliper you might have. My taurus didn't have an exact fit, but the #7 worked perfectly. It is not crappy junk like some of the ultra-basic stuff out there. Spend the extra $10 and save your knuckles and time.

went looking for a more affordable version after renting a similar kit from the local parts store. This has everything it has with a great price. There's an insert that says which parts go to which models and mostly its fairly straightforward to use. The only exception was the plate that the main tool uses as a backing plate, it took a little bit to realize the hole in the plate is just big enough for the handle and threaded section to fit through with a little manipulation. There are no instructions to explain this though. The case is as sturdy as such cases tend to be though everything locks in tight and stayed in place through shipping showing how well things don't move. Can't ask for better for the money.

Based on some other reviews I was expecting a low end homeowner grade tool that wouldn't last forever, but would get me by for occasional use. I was surprised to find that this is actually a very high quality unit. It's not snap on, but it's certainly much better that the harbor freight ones I have used. I have done 3 brake jobs with it so far and for my uses I expect it will easily last a lifetime. I'm very impressed and happy with my purchase.

Amazing kit for a brake job! This makes a brake job way easier to do than using c clamps especially when many of the rear brakes I have worked on require twisting to push the caliper piston back in. This even works for the front brake calipers that require push it in. While c clamps are good for front brakes, this tool will require less force to push the piston back in. I have broken many clamps with little success in pushing in the piston and requiring a lot of force to push it in. With this tool, less force is needed to push it in. I'm glad I have bought this set. Much cheaper than loaning it from the auto parts store and even so this kit has more parts than the more expensive kit at o Reilly's. I am glad I have purchased this very useful product.

The OrionMotorTech Heavy Duty Disc Brake Piston Caliper Compressor Tool Set is an indispensable aid when changing front and rear disc brakes on your automobile or truck. A high quality product, rugged, and easy to use....and very reasonably priced on Amazon. For me a simple decision...purchasing brake pads, the OrionMotorTech caliper compressor tool set, and 30-60 minutes per axle saved me hundreds of dollars in possible brake pad replacement costs at the repair shop. Highly recommended accessory for the do-it-yourself mechanic! Purchase with confidence.

wow this thing worked great! over the years i was always being cheap and using a big "C" clamp and channel locks to spin and compress the rear caliper. wish i had bought this a long time ago. made the job super quick and easy.

I had never done rear brakes before and didn't realize they needed to be rotated back into the calipers. I used my trusted C-clamp and broke it trying to get the first rear piston back into the caliper. After realizing what I did wrong, I got this kit and did the rears without further incident.

A blizzard was coming to Buffalo and my 4 wheel drive vehicle had rear brakes grinding. I have never worked on a vehicle with these new fangled screw in to compress calibers but I know I only had 4 days to get this job done. I researched what was necessary to compress the calibers and went to Amazon of course to get the tools needed, This kit stood out as a 5 ***** by all reviewers.. So why not read further. When I saw YOU can have in 2 days (which would have been a Sunday delivery) I went for it. Sure enough Sunday morning I went out to breakfast and while eating I got an Alert Package Delivered...YEAH !!! I can beat the Blizzard. Upon opening the package I found very Heavy Duty parts which I was pleasantly surprised that this kit was REALLY that good especially for the price. I found this new style caliber with using this tool much easier to compress than the old days using a C-clamp. All in All between the promise of delivery and the quality of the product this company far surpasses the 5***** rating.. I can see having this tool for life without any issues. Thank you for saving me in time to get my 4 wheel drive Explorer back in commission for this 100 year Blizzard.

I am a diy, work on my own vehicles (when I can) type of person. I do not claim to be any kind of expert, or work on vehicles often. Although that seems to be more common now that our children each have vehicles. But, I digress! Have only used this on one brake job (2006 Impala front brakes). Worked just as expected. Me personally, it's much easier than trying to use a pair of Vise Grips. Used a little bit of oil on the screw and it turned very easily, pushing the piston back in. Each piece in the tool set is labeled in the container and the paperwork says what brand of vehicle each piece is for. I ordered this because the one that I was renting from the local big "A" parts store was becoming quite used. With missing pieces and bent screw.
