Nice look, decent heft at affordable price.

Nice touch with a phillips head screwdriver included, but have plenty of those in many sizes already. On 1 plate the 2 top holes had silver metal showing, but easily covered it with a sharpie, and turned out screws covered it anyway. I did not subtract a star for this because the frame is approximately 1/2 the price of similar frames I looked at, and most reviewers of the more expensive frames mentioned paint missing. I should have ordered a 4 hole and a 2 hole as the back license plate area has 4 holes. It bothered me to see 2 holes, so used 2 black large round decorative rust proof screws I had from old license plate for bottom 2 holes. It looks fine from a distance, and covers the holes. The front plate hangs down a bit over bumper and no way to cover bottom 2 holes. Thinking of getting 2 more black screws and using a washer in back to hold them on just to cover holes to look nicer. Of the 4 screw cap covers, only 1 went on easy, needed to use a mallet (used a cloth over screw cover before hitting to protect car/plate) to push other 3 on securely. Didn't mind this as now I know the decorative caps should stay on securely. I don't intend to take plates off until get a new car, many years from now. Hopefully, the frame and screw covers will stay on. If not, can get another frame as the price is right.

Perfect. Just what I was looking for

Perfect. Just what I was looking for. Unobtrusive, sturdy and all the parts are there! This is the only plate I could find that had a 'tab' on the bottom so the plate had more support than just the screws. You get two different types of screws...both machine and pointed. There are screw caps so you are not looking at screws once you get the plate on your car. . And you get instructions. That make sense! But the best thing is they are stiff sturdy metal and this frame hides nothing on your license plate. It is thin all the way around. Some states are very picky about that sort of thing. Up here they use LOTS of chemicals on the roads in winter and if the chemicals don't kill the plate holders then the car wash will. So far? It's holding up great. Arrived in two days.

Very impressed with these license frames!

My husband felt these license frames would be just the ticket for my car. The SunplusTrade Two Matte Black Powder Coated Aluminum License Plate Frames came promptly. My husband installed them and I can tell you, in comparison to my other license frames, these were superior. I do not like to have license plates on my car without frames, it is too easy for the plates to bend after time and it finishes off the look of a car. I would order again!

I purchased these to dress up my license plate, even after I saw several other reviews about people receiving scratched frames. Both were packaged very well, and came out of the box with no scratches at all. I put one on my Lexus (yeah, it certainly looks classy enough). I'm really impressed with how much such a low-cost item can improve the look of my car. The frame is low-profile so it doesn't cover up the state or the county (top or bottom). One recommendation - be sure you insert your license plate behind the tabs on the lower portion of the frame. I put mine on in the dark and overlooked them. I was slightly worried about how loose the frame was until I installed the other one on my dad's car (I gave the other one to him) and noticed the tabs. After re-fitting my plate, everything fits very snugly. We're both very pleased with the look and quality of these frames. I'd highly recommend if you're in the market.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I really like the matte finish yet sturdiness of this license plate frame. The option to have a license plate frame that only had 2 screws was great since my car only utilizes 2 screws to hold the plate. They are also positioned so nothing on the license plate gets cut off. Everything on the license plate remains easy to see and read. Plus, the matte black finish of the frame goes great with the matte black trim on my car. I feel like it helped complete the look of my car! The caps that go over the screws are PERFECT! They hide the shiny metal ends of the screws and make it all look great! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Installed within minutes on a dark gray MK7 (2017) Volkswagen GTI. I wanted a simple, dark license plate frame with no wording or other ornamentation and this was basically the cheapest and best-reviewed option on Amazon. It came with a second holder (you get four screws, anchors, and caps, but only two of each are meant to be used for one plate) which I may keep as a spare or put on my girlfriend's car just to get rid of it. I'm going to update down the road regarding durability. I've entered my first winter and I live in the Northeast aka "Rust Belt" but this is made from aluminum so I should have no issues. I'm wondering how the coating will hold up though. The caps hide the installation screws which is nice - you place the screws through a clear anchor which the cap attaches to. They snapped on very hard so I'm not too worried about them falling off but if they do I will update my review. Luckily I have two back-ups from the second set.

Sweet frames!

Decided to get rid of my worn out 31 year old plates to dress up my Chevy Silverado. Maryland 's plates have the State flag image and I wanted a nice black metal frame to accent it. Found these aluminium ones on Amazon, and am glad I did. They really do the job! They do not block the stickers and I like how there are tabs at the bottom to hold the plate without needing extra screws. They fit perfect and seem sturdy, but the screws were too small for the back plate. Just used two i had in my shop. Don't know why other reviewers have trouble with the plastic screw caps because mine snapped right on without incident. I am very pleased with these license plate frames and will most likely buy another pair. Great product!

Great for the price. I fastened the bottoms, too.

Much better quality than I expected for the price. I wanted to fasten the bottom of the plates, too, since the bottoms of the plates stuck out a half inch, and this bugged me. So I contacted Sunplus Trade and asked if I could buy 4 more washers and caps. They sent them to me free of charge. VERY NICE SERVICE from Sunplus. Fastening the bottoms of the plates was a bit tricky because the edge of the frame interfered with the washers and the caps. The position of the lower license plate holes and the frame edge is such that the black caps must overlap the frame edge -- see photo. To do this, the clear plastic washers had to be over the edge of the frame, too, so that the black caps could snap on to them. To do this, the lower screws could not be fully tightened. To make it perfect, I should have put some narrow washers under the clear plastic washers. But I didn't bother. I'm pleased with the results. Looks much better with the bottom holes covered. Bottom of the plates aren't sticking out a half inch like they were before, but bottoms are still not perfectly tight. So although these plates are not designed to be fastened at the bottom, it can be done with decent results. They should make a version that is designed for bottom fastening.

Nice change from the free advertising I was giving my dealer. I figure a year of free advertising was enough of a thank you for a good selling experience...that and the recommendations I've made to friends to consider purchasing from them and a great review in the customer survey. Back to this frame..good finish, lightweight, and has the tabs to hold the plate in place at the bottom. I bent the tabs in toward the plate to make it a bit more solid feeling. My car came with black mounting bolts so I just use them instead of the nice set provided by the mfg. Looks really nice and works well. Highly recommended.

A Very Nice Band

I could not find a decent plate frame for my new Ford Focus. The license plates here in MT are 12 1/4" long and then I saw these plate frames. I ordered them in the black, and they fit perfectly around my state plates. They are made of a thin metal and not plastic which is a bonus. They do not cover the state stickers and I am very pleased with them. There was very little time involved in putting them on and the holes matched up perfectly. The caps went over the screws with no problem, although I did use a rubber mallet to tap them on as I am older and do not have a lot of strength. These are awesome and look great on my car. If anyone is looking for nice looking plate frames, these would do the trick.
