overall very impressed with the cable as of a week of owning it. to be fair i was skeptical at first since this is one of the cheaper options, but thank god i now know that my fear was misplaced. has held up very well, doesnt effect picture or response time in any way at all. currently using it for my left monitor and its holding up very well. again, very impressed, will update review if any thing changes :)

We've only been using this for 4 days, but it seems to be made well and it's doing what it's supposed to. For now I'm rating it as a 5 for durability, but we'll have to wait and see how long it actually lasts. But as of now, it seems to be a very good cable for a very reasonable price.

Perfect, I use it as DisplayPort to HDMI because my TV doesn't have a DisplayPort and my micro tower only has working DisplayPorts. Gold tipped, perfect length for my needs. Dust caps are always great for storing the cable, keep those handy. A regular black cable blends in better. Have no complaints.

Exactly what I needed to connect the LCD screen to my laptop without using any adaptors. It is the perfect length, it is sturdy and works fine.

I have had zero issues with this cable. I work in IT and I was looking for a cable to connect my laptop (video port) to my TV (only has HDMI) Pro's: Works exactly as i needed. Fits nicely in both ports. Feels up to par as far as cable head quality goes. Con's: haven't found any yet. I actively update reviews so if i come across anything i will add it.

I was going to buy a converter then I saw this product. For the same price, not only it converts the display port to HDMI, but it also has a 6' cable which means I don't need a separate HDMI cable. Great cable. Works perfect and I do recommend it.

I had an El Cheapo HP Corporate Desktop SFF Refurb, that I basically wanted to use in the living room as an HTPC. It had a VGA output, and my flat screen had a VGA input, so I used that at first but I wasn't overly happy with the results. Pictures and videos were acceptable, but if you were running the web browser, text tended to be fairly fuzzy and hard to read. The computer also had a DisplayPort output, and the TV had an available HDMI input (thanks to a wonderful little HDMI hub that I picked up, also through Amazon), and this conversion cable allowed the magic to happen! Very sharp 1080p picture, sharp text, everything looks just great...couldn't be happier! My understanding is that DisplayPort connections will also carry the digital audio signal (like HDMI does), but it depends on the type of output jack that the computer has available. In my case, I had to use a separate cable for computer audio out to RCA plugs in to get the sound, but my main concern was a video feed with text that was legible, and this did the trick for me!

If you are trying to link an older HP computer to a new monitor, you will need this. We bought a refurbished HP 8300, which is a solid machine - often seen in hospitals. However it doesn't have an HDMI output. instead, it has a Display Port, and you will need to get this cable to drive a monitor with HDMI input. You'll get the best display quality that way. This product looks and feels solid and worked right away with no fussing around needed, but that's what you would expect from a cable. I've only had it a week, so I can't comment on durability, but I would recommend this cable.

This item has worked wonderfully so far. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Display Ports (or some at least) would transmit audio as well as video. Have this connected to a laptop in my living room and it saved the hassle of running a lot of extra wires. The price is great as well, pretty much the same price as similar HDMI to Display port adapters, to have it all in one was just a better/easier choice. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's on the fence about it.

I purchased two of these cables after updating my setup for two 24" gaming monitors. My GTX-960 has several DisplayPort ports, making these cables perfect for the setup. I managed to get an awesome dual-monitor config without needing extra adapters and I have no problems with the picture on any video or game I use the monitors with. I see no reason to avoid recommending these cables to others.
