It’s pretty accurate give or take a few degrees but never more than 5° off it seems . That’s pretty good for never actually making contact with whatever you’re pointing it at. it also doubles as a cat toy so that’s pretty cool . Basically I got what I thought I was going to get so that’s really good .

I used this for my ball python enclosure... its one of the best investments i ever bought. Given its not always perfect. It’ll be off +/-2 degrees at the most. But i highly recommend this to reprile owners

Got this for my snake heating pads. Working great. Much easier to use than the little temp guns from the pet store, which are also more expensive than this. Very happy with this.

This has to be one of these best deals (for me) I've come across on Amazon. I can't believe how cheap this thing was, considering the alternatives at your local hardware super center. And trust me, I've put it through its paces. As an engineer by day, and cook in the evenings, (yes, cook, not chef) this baby is fantastic. I can check my oil temp for tempura and spin around and hit the overhead vent and check that my AC is pumping out the right temp. So worth the money.

I got this to measure how hot my pan is to see which kinds of oil I should be using. But I keep finding new interesting ways to use it. Can't go wrong for the price.

I love this thing. I have maybe used it three times professionally but I use it all the time for fun. My wife's temperature changes as she sleeps, who knew? I just wish I could turn off the beep so I can use it while in bed.

We use this for a cat toy because it’s easier on the hand than the little cat lasers. This is our second purchase. We got this one for a friend. It has an annoying beep when it reaches temperature that our first one doesn’t have. If you want this for it’s actual purpose, I’m sure the beep would be handy. It works well for both its intended purpose and as a cat exerciser.

Bought specifically to test how much of a temp difference there was between bare windows, cellular shaded windows, and using plastic or vinyl to winterize. Crazy how much more heat efficient a window is when covered even with just a shade. Also, find it useful for making sure the entryway isn't too cold for storing drinks and reading the temp on our baseboard radiators. Just ridiculously handy.

This was exactly what I needed at a great price. Mine came in a box, in a bubble bag and well packaged with another item. It was super easy to use! It doesn't feel cheap. I was shocked at the accuracy of the temp readings, I did some tests with other devices to ensure that I was getting the right reading. I am also thankful that the company was nice enough to include batteries. There is a caution label on the side but I had to really concentrate to read what the tiny print said. The red light also is great for entertaining animals, which I no longer recommend because my dogs bark and get excited when I even pick it up or when they hear it beep. haha.

primary use is in a commercial restaurant kitchen, but have used it anywhere i wanted to know a surface temp. definitely recommend the product for its accuracy FIRST - and the price is a great add-on.
