This is a well-constructed beekeeping suit that gets the job done. I did order a size up based on some previous reviews, but it seems they are not having the size problems anymore as the suit was the size listed on the company's size chart (included in the images for the listing). It had room to move around and bend over without issue. I like the elastic stirrup straps that keep the leg from riding up - a feature I haven't seen on other suits. I was specifically looking for a camouflage beekeeping suit (the camo for a roleplaying event), so it was nice to find one available (I didn't actually expect to find one when I started searching). We thought it amusing that there is a hook in one of the pockets, presumably for keys, but this could be useful if you have to carry keys for a shed or for transport. It will be useful at our roleplaying event. No stings were suffered in this suit (and we have some rather angry bees - the meaner they are, the better they produce, it seems). The suits we have had previously are all ventilated suits, which run anywhere from $145 - $260 (Natural Apiary has one called the Zephyros Protect). While this suit is not ventilated, we found it comfortable and functional. If you live in a mild or even cool climate, this is definitely the better value. If you live in a hot or humid climate, you may want to splurge for a ventilated suit. The included image is of my husband in his suit. He is 5' 9" and about 175lbs and is wearing the large. He could probably wear a medium according to the chart, but I wanted to be certain and ordered the size up. Now that we have it, I don't think that was necessary.

I am so glad I bought this bee suit. I am a small person (5'4, 115 lbs) and I was wearing my father-in-law's old bee suit, which made me look like a lumpy, amorphous ghost. It was massive on me, and somehow bees always got into it. As far as I understand, bee suits are supposed to keep bees out, not trap you in with them. I have had a very hard time finding a small bee suit that would function well and not serve as a tripping hazard / bee death trap. This suit is amazing! It fits great over my clothes (note, you are not supposed to wear a bee suit with nothing under it. Naked + Bees = terrible mistake). The suit is very, very breathable, and keeps me cool, even when I am checking on my bees in 90 degree weather. I always feel a cool breeze moving through it, even if it doesn't seem windy out, so I think the suit is partly woven with witchcraft. Anyway, I highly recommend this suit if you are looking for a comfortable, protective suit. It's definitely not sting-proof, but that's because it isn't a suit of armor. It is made with cotton, not chainmail. It keeps bees far away from my face, and has many layers of zippers and other bee-proofing features. I wear a baseball cap underneath it just for extra protection.

I am 6'2" 195 lbs so decided to order the XX Large suit to allow for my normal clothing underneath and am glad I did. The fit of the suit overall wasAZAA so good it seemed like I had received a suit personally tailored for me. The cloth is dense and provided excellent protection against wasp & bee stings. For the quality of this suit and the price charged I am extremely pleased. These suits are the best on the market I feel based on suits I have used prior to this from other manufacturers.

We have a problem with bees in our roof. Since a beekeeper charges you less to remove the bees (alive) if you prepare access to the beehive first ($250 vs $1-1.6K) we were highly motivated to open up the roof ourselves, but there was no way we were going to do that without protection. After reading all the different reviews, we decided to go with this suit. I liked that it was a full suit with elastic bands around the arms and legs. We ordered one size larger (M instead of S for a 5'8" person) since it sounded like it was better for the suit to be loose, and to allow clothing underneath. We ordered gloves as well and wore long socks. There are several different styles of bee suit out there for the head piece - I like that this one had a reinforced frame that protruded out so it wasn't as intimidating having bees buzz in your face. I'd read that it helps to wear a baseball cap under the suit to keep the face mesh away from your face so we did that as well. Then the suit was put to the test. We put it on, got into the thick of the hive, and sure enough, we were well protected as hundreds of agitated bees started swarming around (and actually tried to sting us) as could be seen by all the stingers on the gloves. Happily none of the bees got through this suit. Glad to have gone with this suit.

I was surprised at how thick the material was and how secure and heavy the zippers were. While I’ve never owned one before, I think it’s a nice suit. Yellow jackets mostly weren’t home when I visited but I wanted to prepare anyway since they stung me previously when I stumbled onto the nest. I also know I’ll be working in these woods in the future and decided I might as well be prepared. As to size, quite glad I chose the XL. I’m 5’9” 175 and it hangs on me some. However, the torso (crotch to neck) is short. Had I ordered the large, I would have had real trouble bending over. I followed the advice on a few reviews: taped the side pockets and neck flap for extra protection, duct taped my boots around the tops, and wore jeans and a long sleeve heavy T underneath. I also wore plastic shop goggles because I’d seen a reference to yellow jackets landing on the face netting and “spraying” (?) inside. There had been at least one comment that the hood collapsed against the face, but that isn’t the case; it’s nice and stiff and once I pulled it up and out, it stayed. Yep, I was hot! But I’d rather sweat than yell.

We are beginners in the beekeeping world. Thought we could do it with just a veil, gloves and long sleeve shirt/pants. First time checking the hive we both got stung, time for a suit! We worked the hive with these suits on the 2nd time and it helped me get my confidence back. LOVE THEM! We live in Florida, so we were dripping sweat due to the heat, but with the suit on it was not "hot and stifling" at all. 😊 (I am 5'7" & usually wear a large top and medium bottom, size large suit is perfect for me. My husband is 6' and wears XL tops and he works out so has a booty, size XXL is perfect for him.)

I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while. I did pest control for 5 years or so and used to use the company one. Now that I have moved on to other things I still find myself treating bugs now and again for myself and family. I treated some bees a few weeks ago for my sister and made a very ghetto looking makeshift one and wasn't happy when I missed a spot and got stung. Just got this and was well pleased with results. I am 5'6" or 5'7" and weigh 195 lbs. I ordered a large and it fits great over my current clothes. This one actually works better and velcros better than my old work one did. The mesh for the head stays off the face much better too. Still wouldn't hurt to wear a baseball cap underneath to ensure during awkward movements that you remain safe. Although for regular bee keeping that I do with my friend the cap would be safe overkill. I've found that when treating to kill them digging into a nest in weird spots can leave you a bit more vulnerable in moving than in tending them in more controlled circumstances. If you have never used one of these be sure to duck tape around your ankles and whatnot so you don't get your feet, ankles, or hands stung..

I am 5'11 and a weight 220. I ordered a XXL and wore over heavy denim jeans and shirt. these fit very nice and loose, gave me room to move and I didn't feel overly confined or bulky. These covers were comfortable in the heat. The temperature was over 100F when we harvested honey from 5 hives. While the bees got a bit testy towards the end of the process - I was very confident that no bees were going to get through to me. I was impressed by the seller - Natural Apiary - who sent tips on how to care for the suit and offered to answer questions. This was not an expensive suit, but it seems to be a good quality suit. As I am early in my beekeeping career, I am not sure what else one would want from beekeeping suit. Oh, and it comes in a really nice carrying bag which I may lose to my wife.

I purchased the complete suit in order to protect me when I had to spray for wasps at our home. I was amazed at the quality of the suit when it arrived. I am six foot two, 225 pounds and normally wear an XL. I purchased a XXL to be sure that I had enough room to move around in and it fits, but barely. I probably could have even gone with a XXXL. The suit is very well made and has allowed me to get close to the wasps while on a ladder without the fear of getting attacked. The company has also contacted me several times to be sure I like the suit and has given me tips on how to take care of it (washing etc.). You can tell that they are a company that takes pride in its product. When you figure what a professional exterminator would have cost, this suit is a bargain and can be used again and again.

Killing wasps in my back yard just got a lot easier! I bought a medium-I'm 5'2" 158lbs
