These mats are excellent. They come packed very securely and are protected so they can't be damaged. I use them to mat and frame my fine art photographs and I am extremely satisfied.

I continue to be amazed at the quality AND value of these products! They consistently come carefully packaged, precision cut, and reasonably priced! I'm able to use the matts I need and store the rest in the box they come in without worrying about damaging them until used. I would not hesitate to order from Golden State!

Exactly what I need to showcase drawings for sale without framing everything

I was looking for a way to showcase ink drawings for an upcoming art show, and these are perfect. There are three components, the beveled mat, the back piece, and a bag to put them in. They are bright white. They arrived in excellent condition, wrapped well in a box that kept them from being damaged. The bevel on the mat is sharp and ads a nice finish. The plastic wrap has a thin strip of adhesive that wraps around and adheres nicely (see all 5 pics). I will buy these again and would recommend them to a friend.

Love them, they look great

Overall, these worked great. I used them for prints and an art gallery. They were white and clean. A few of the mats were unusable due to a bent corner or a small stain, but I've bought enough of these in mass quantaties, from enough places, to know that's pretty unavoidable. I'll buy more in the future, and a lot more if they go on sale :-)

Good consistent quality.

I've purchased sets of mats from other sources (like eBay) and had mixed results with the quality. While some sellers seem to be using scraps of leftover matboard, these seem to be cut from the same consistent source. I've also had trouble with other sellers using imprecise cutting methods; they seem to be cutting by hand and rapidly at that. These were all clean-cut and even. The other nice thing about this set is that it includes everything that you need to make a good presentation; no need to buy a huge pack of plastic sleeves or a bunch of matboard for backing: it's all included with exactly the amount that you need. The result is that it's easy to make your artwork look very professional and sellable without investing a huge amount of money. Something that may be good to include or offer as an extra would be adhesive hanging tabs. I've been trying to figure out an easy, inexpensive, and effective way to hang matted (but not yet framed) artwork while in these sleeves. (One small complaint is that a couple of my mats seemed to have water damage, but I did not ding the seller for this because I can't say whether is happened before or after they arrived. I had them sitting in the box they were shipped to me in, but weeks had passed by the time I noticed so I can't pinpoint the cause. I haven't seen anyone else complain about this so it may have been my fault.) Overall, I will buy these again.

Better quality and best value by far

Another company dropped the ball and didn’t send half my framing order but Golden State Art came through for me. Not only are these better quality, they are also a better price. I ordered the whole pack because I’m framing a show for my artworks. I plan to to order from them in the near future!

Perfect for my art business

I love the products from Golden State, I have ordered various sizes of this set several times now and am always impressed with their packaging and product. Good quality for a great value! We are just starting out in the art business and while building a business you really have to keep costs down but also provide a quality product. That is what Golden State has provided with their mat and board sets.

Professional and Affordable

I ordered this pack in order to mat some prints I'd recently ordered to put into an art association shop. They suited well for their purpose, made my art look fantastic and presentable for selling. Definitely suggest this for other artists like myself who are just starting to step foot into the merchant side of the art world since they are a good price for a nice sized bundle.

Excellent pre-cut mat sets with backer boards and clear bags. Made getting ready for a show super easy. These work great for my 4x6" linocut prints. Very well packaged too. Don't know if backer boards are acid-free, but works fine for my small inexpensive prints. Will buy again.

Totally worth it!

These mats were such a good purpose. I'm currently doing a holiday sale where I work and these have saved me hours and hours of extra work. After matting 30 prints I decided the investment was worth it considering if I cut all of the mats myself with my mat cutter it would have taken exponentially longer! Of the 30 prints I matted, one piece of backing board had a small spot where the adhesive was a little wonky but that's it. If anyone is interested, all of the mats are white all the way through (and cut beautifully!) but the backing board is gray binder board with white glued on to it. Obviously this goes in the frame and isn't visible anyway but just in case anyone was wondering I thought I'd mention it. Lastly, the fact that this also includes sleeves is wonderful. All of my prints look great in these mats and I know that the next time I need mats I am going to order this product!
