Perfect for cat or small dog
I'm so, so happy with this frame. After working with it, I agree it probably isn't best suited for collars of larger dogs, but it was perfect for our little cat collar. I thought the bell would "dangle" a bit, but the space between the mat and the glass was just enough to hold it down into place. Not a big deal for me, just not something I had thought about before. The picture opening was not an issue for me, either. I used a 4x6 print of the day he came to live with us, centered and taped it into place from the back of the mat, and trimmed off what I needed to for it to fit into the frame. I had no issues fitting his collar through the slots, besides needing a little gentle patience with the adjustable bracket bit and making sure it didn't damage the mat, but nothing I would complain about. I was a little concerned that I didn't have a lot of horizontal pictures, but the back of the frame is such that I just rotated it once before putting it back in and stood it up on it's side. It's a great product and seems to be very well made, I'm very happy to have this in my home as a keepsake for the best cat ever.

Creates a beautiful tribute
Lovely frame! I wish a vertical option existed since so many pet photos are taken while they sit up (making them more tall than wide.)

very nice gift for someone who lost their furry baby
This is a very nice gift for anyone you know who recently lost a furry baby. Our friends appreciated it greatly, and many don't know what to do with the collar they of course, want to keep! This is a perfect way to keep and display their furry baby's collar and picture. The quality and shipping were done well.

Displays well!
To be honest after reading the reviews before I purchased this, I was very nervous to buy it. But I’m glad I did and it’s perfect for what I needed it for! I wouldn’t recommend this for a large animal due to the space for a collar, it’s a bit small. So I recommend this if you’re using it for smaller animals.

Awesome!!
My dog passed several years ago and we have had her collar sitting on the box with her ashes ever since. I was so excited to find this!! The only negative is that her collar was a little big to fit thru the openings so I had to tear them a little and I had to smash it in the frame to get it closed. But once done it is an amazing tribute to my baby!!

Keeping memories
We just lost our shihtzu, and we wanted to keep a memorial of him, and this item was perfect for us. The picture frame worked great and we were able to make it look the way we wanted.

Nice keepsake frame. Turned out nice with a lot of manipulation...
I am happy with this shadow box frame. It took a LOT of manipulating to get the collar in the frame especially since the buckle snaps are pretty thick. I used a 4x6 picture and trimmed it down to fit. I used regular scotch tape and double sided tape to get the picture and mat to lay flat. It also took multiple times trying to get the collar straight and the tag to lay nicely in the frame. If you have a larger collar you will probably need to cut it down to get it to fit in the frame. I debated doing that with Baileys collar but was able to get it in in one piece. Regardless of all this fussing with putting it together I am absolutely happy with the way it turned out and love it!

Wonderful memorial
We lost our beloved terrier mix a couple of months ago. This frame is a perfect tribute to our lost furry family member. ❤️. I love that it includes his collar.

and the best way she can help me
I recently lost my retired service dog who was a 8 year old black German Shepherd. I adopted him when he was 2 years old and we were inseparable...he gave me my life back after I became disabled. Even once he was retired and could no longer do public access with me, he didn't stop working, though it was in a different capacity. He took on the job of helping my new service dog get used to our household; he did wonders by showing her the ropes, and the best way she can help me. I can't begin to explain the agony I feel over my best friend's death. However, seeing this picture frame made me cry (which I suppose is nothing new, because it's only been a month, and crying is all I can do nowadays!) because of how lovely it is. I don't know how to explain it, but it just FITS, you know? The frame and everything itself came in perfect condition, which is good, since I saw a review about how someone's came broken. I had no such problems, and love the rich brown color of the wood was unmarred...for now, anyway, since I have a cat who likes to knock stuff over. I think I was lucky, because my boy's black leather collar fit just fine without cutting it -- which is good, because I don't think I could bare cutting it, even just for cosmetic reasons so it'd fit. It was a little snug, but that'll help keep it in place/loosening it. It also had enough room that it shows his engraved name tags, which includes his service dog medical alert tag. I swear that he knew he was my advocate for when I was unable to speak, and because of that, he always wore that tag proudly. Now I have a gorgeous framed picture to go on the shelf with his old service dog gear, with this picture in full display. He really was one of a kind and this frame shows that.
