I am a horrible nighttime grinder and I needed something to keep me from doing it. The last few days I could barely eat from grinding so much. I can't wait to try this out! I Messed my first guard up and it shrunk to a very small size. Just Make sure the water isn't to hot but other than that my second guard I was able to fit properly and it fits perfectly in my mouth. I can speak with it in and it doesn't fall out! Definitely love this and it beats paying $300 for one from my dentist! Can't wait to use it tonight!

I was told by my dentist that a mouth guard would have run me a couple hundred dollars if I got it molded through them...yeah, no thanks. Surprisingly, this came up as a Prime Deal not too long afterwards so I snatched it up as quickly as possible. The item came with a DVD tutorial (I wondered why they didn't opt for a YouTube video link) to guide you through the process of molding the guard to your teeth. I would definitely recommend watching it so you don't totally blow it, but here's an abbreviated list of what you'll need to do: 1. Lightly boil some water and let it cool slightly. 2. Drop the guard (one piece at a time) into the hot water. 3. Use a wooden spoon to scoop the guard of the hot water and shake off any hot water. 4. Grab the guard and place it on the row of teeth you are molding. Use the indention on the center of the guard to line it up with the center of your row of teeth. 5. Once it is in your mouth, close your mouth and begin to suck in--almost as if there is food stuck on your teeth that you're trying to remove without a toothpick. Also, while you're doing that, press down your lips towards your teeth to give it an extra help to mold to the front of your teeth. Use your tongue to get inside in place. 6. Keep the guard in your mouth until you feel it firm up. It'll probably take a minute or so to set. To be honest, it was slightly tricky to get it to perfectly set comfortably on my teeth. But don't worry--if you don't get it the first time you can always try to reset it by dunking the pieces back into the hot water. By the 2nd (or 3rd) it should be pretty easy to get it exactly the way you want.

I love these! I cannot express how much I love these. They have saved me so much money it's ridiculous. I originally ordered these for my husband. He grinds his teeth at night and it is seriously so loud and annoying that I wake him up and make him move to the guest room. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't cracked a molar. So anyway, we started by getting him the mouth guards that you use for sports. It takes him about a motto completely chew through those. I wasn't kidding. He grinds with a purpose. I recently bought a water flosser through this company and their customer service was outstanding, so I thought we would give their mouth guards a try. When they arrived, there were two sizes in the box, instructions on how to mold them to your teeth, and a case to put it in when it wasn't in your mouth. This was a nice addition since looking at a chewed up mouth guard every morning isn't my idea of sexy. We followed the directions, molded the larger one to his teeth, and took it for a spin. Blessed silence all night long! They are pretty heavy duty material, as well. It's been a few weeks and he's nowhere near chewed through it. But there's more! This is the part where the money savings came in. I have periodontal disease. My gums have bacteria in them and my dentist wants to treat it aggressively. One of my treatment recommendations is fluoride gel in custom molded trays. I made the appointment for the impressions for the trays and then casually asked how much it was going to cost. I won't quote my price here but let's just say I could use that money to take a nice weekend vacation. Nope. I found out what fluoride gel he was using and I bought it at a dental supply company for less than the price of a cheeseburger. I put it in these trays every night and it works perfectly! Even my dentist is pleased with how well I'm progressing. I have also used them to hold teeth whitening gel. Another bonus! I love these things.

I bought this product because my dentist said I was grinding my teeth and the wear on them was substantial. After looking at several similar products I decided to go with Dental Duty. I am glad that I did! This product is excellent. It comes with a DVD that demonstrates how to mold the guards to your teeth. There are two sizes of guards included (4 pcs. all together) and a storage box for your guard. The molding process was super easy and the fit is amazing. This product costs $20 versus the $500 my dentist was going to charge. I'm happy!

Easy to mold just take your time. I do not recommend putting it in water that's in a full boil, because it will be to soft to mold right, It'll mold like a sports mouth piece, you don't want that, you want the bottom of the mouthpiece to still have a smooth bottom,I dipped it into an almost rolling boil for about 15 seconds and bite into it pushing it up into my teeth with my fingers while creating suction by sucking, I did this 3 or 4 times and it molded perfectly to my wife's upper mouth,( I would recommend testing it out with the spare mouthpiece to get a feel for it). its been a few nights now and she absolutely loves it.

Dentist was suggesting she would have to fit me for a bite guard because I reportedly grind my teeth at night. While I have excellent dental insurance, none of it would be covered so I looked for alternatives on my own that wouldn't cost me hundreds of dollars. Well I came across THIS and I couldn't be happier! It was extremely easy to make my own, custom-molded bite guard. And for just $20! In fact, I made TWO; one for primary use and a second as a back-up guard. Very, very pleased.

I have never purchased this type of product before. It was my dentist's recommendation that I try this 'commercial' option before investing in a custom made dental guard. At first, I was slightly intimidated as I read the directions. However once I began the process it was easier to follow.( I didn't view the CD). I did find that I needed to Very Slightly trim the rear edges as I have a smaller shaped mouth. After this adjustment and restarting the process, the fit was much better. The boiling process allows the guard to easily mold. I have only used this product for two nights so far. It has been easier to tolerate than I expected. However, I am aware that I am clenching the guard - more so than I was aware of how much I clenched my teeth. I think A longer transition time should help. I have made a commitment to continue to try to use this guard and hope that I will experience the benefits of using this product.

It is simple to follow the directions for molding the mouth piece. When it says it shrinks when heated it does. I chose to use the small one first as it was large enough to cover all my teeth. After molding the back teeth were not covered. But it still serves it's designed purpose. Next time I'll use the larger one.

Very impressed with this product! I need a guard to prevent grinding my teeth while sleeping. I ordered this to replace an older guard I had purchased from a sports equipment store that was meant for athletes and could be molded. It was OK and did the job ... but it was very bulky, purple (not clear), and had finally started to break down. It was also starting to get quite uncomfortable in my mouth. I thought about having my dentist do a custom mold, then I saw this on Amazon. So glad I did! This product is much more comfortable! I also like that it is clear and has a thinner, more comfortable profile but is still thick/sturdy enough to protect my teeth from grinding during my sleep. Bonus that it comes with a case. I used one of the larger guards and was able to mold a good fit on the first try. The instructions may seem a bit confusing at first, but read them all (including tips for molding them for teeth grinding), watch the video, and review the instructs again. The video didn't get great shots of some of the steps, but it helped reinforce the basic steps and I appreciated having it supplement my prep/learning. Be sure to have a mirror nearby for the molding part. Remove pan from heat before inserting guard. Use a wooden spoon (not metal) - to keep the guard from touching sides and also to remove it when time. Keep an eye on the guard while in the water and look for the sides to start to bend (a good sign), then quickly remove it, put it in your mouth and start applying the pressure with your tongue and fingers (as mentioned in the instructions). I've slept with it a few nights now ... it is much more comfortable than my older, sports model. Overall, great value for the cost!
