Like this holder so much better than the windshield mount ones. I must have gone through 6 of those over the years. This really grips to your dash and you don't have to apply any adhesive. it is nice that when you are not using it, you just pick it up and put it in a compartment. No messing with suction cups !! I have owned this product for over a month now.

Excellent for holding an iPhone 6s and 6s+

I put this on my steering wheel column so that my phone is right in front of me. It stays in place, keeps the phone from sliding around and is easy to use. My husband and parents liked it so much that they all asked for one, too. Excellent alternative to something that attaches either to the window or air vents!

Great. Adjustable. Use the little C piece to tilt the phone forward. Its a slider piece.

Great for the road warrior

Works well while being lightweight. Perfect for the traveler. I have tried them all. A heavyweight clamp that worked well but got my carry-on inspected or my checked luggage inspected by TSA every time. Got tired of fighting with the vent clip mounts. So if you travel and are flying then renting a car, this is great when using your phone as GPS. Lightweight, doesn't alarm TSA, stays in place on the dash and it's super easy to put the phone in and get it out.

Grippy! Non-permanent! This is the best cell phone holder I've purchased.

I had my doubts when looking at this thing online... but it turns out that this phone holder is great! I purchased the 2nd-generation IPOW silicone phone holder for my Subaru Outback (2015- generation). It sits nicely on top of my rubberized dashboard. It is made of a fairly grippy soft rubber that conforms to the contour of the dash and doesn't slide around. It has a pretty sizable footprint, so it's able to maintain good grip without the use of adhesives. Although I haven't taken it off-roading or anything like that, I can definitely say that I have had NO problems with the iPOW sliding anywhere at all when driving on highways, in the city, or on mountain roads. My phone has always stayed put, exactly where I put it, with no issues at all. (Although I'm not a daredevil, I am also not a gentle-footed driver, FWIW.) We use this with an iPhone 5 with an Apple case, and an iPhone 6 that has a typical, medium-thickness clear case. It works with both phones very well. It comes with an extra set of mounts that will fit somewhat thicker cases. We haven't had any issues with buttons being inadvertently pressed, or anything like that. The mounts that your phone sits in are fully adjustable side-to-side. The viewing angle is less adjustable (there's a little nub of rubber to help with that, which it does effectively, although it falls off easily and is annoying), but I've been doing fine with the phone at its default angle. I would buy this one again!

Great Product

This pad stays planted on the dashboard, and holds your phone steady. The only issue I had is that we lost one of the tabs that shims the back brace... these come off fairly easily, and once they are gone, you can't easily replace them. Turns out that we really didn't need them, as the phone was still stable without them. Overall, this pad is very functional and a good buy for the money. Update: The seller responded to my comment on the C-tabs and immediately sent me 2 sets of replacements. They also provided timely and courteous updates on the shipping status. This is very remarkable service, and shows they really do care about their customers, and strive for total customer satisfaction. Not related to this great customer service, I previously purchased a second pad for my daughter, and she absolutely loves it as well !! Thank you IPOW !

Needs to be re-designed for newer cars

This Silicone Car Pad Mat held my iPhone 7 just fine, and I felt confident my phone was secure. However, due to the backward slope of the dash, I could not see my phone's display while it was in the holder. Because my car is very small, there was nowhere else to put the phone holder so that I could see it. UPDATE Aug 27, 2018 - This seller is truly motivated to make their customers happy. After my first review, they contacted me and asked how they could resolve my issues with their product. They offered a couple of resolutions, and asked me to choose which would satisfy me. I chose a replacement product, which was shipped and received in record time. Unfortunately, I did not care for the replacement product (a windshield suction cup mount), so I did not revise my review. They messaged me again today, and I asked for a refund. I just received notice from Amazon that my refund has been processed already! I believe that the concept of this dash mounted phone/GPS holder is the best idea ever. The ones with suction cup mounts fall off the windshield in very cold, or very hot weather. Not to mention those that have a suction mount on the dashboard need a plastic disk mounted permanently on your dashboard in order to work. None of the suction mounted devices work relialby.I’ve had them go flying across the vehicle while I was driving. And I never liked anything permanently mounted onto my vehicle. This holder stays put on the dashboard much better than you would think and, if they could fix the tilt or angle of the phone while in the holder, it would be ideal. It works fantastically with my GPS!

Serves it purpose well

This application is what I was looking for. Just wanted something simple to lay on my dash instead of blocking my air vents or would require adhesive to install. One thing I found out though is that there are two small rubber inserts you can add to the holder. I think they are to provide additional support or possibly change the angle..? I'm not sure. Anyhow, I found that when I used them they created just enough of an angle that when I accelerated fast my phone would flop off the base from the force of the acceleration. So I removed the two small inserts and tried again to make the phone fall with aggressive driving and to my surprise the phone and the base stayed put. I am satisfied with this product. See my pictures to understand the small rubber inserts I am referring to.

Best cell phone holder I've used!

I just got this yesterday, so I put it in my car and drove around to see how it worked with corners, stopping etc. and I must say I was surprised at how well it worked! No sliding whatsoever from the holder or the phone itself! I have a new car and didn't want anything that would scratch or make my dashboard sticky. I do have a smooth surface in the center of my dash which is where I put this so I can verify it worked great on smooth surface. Also, I used iPhone 6 Plus with commuter case and my husband used it with his (same model phone) with defender case and they both fit. Only thing I would recommend to manufacturer is to at least put a diagram to show how it is put together. It's pretty self explanatory except some may not know where to put the small adjuster clips.
