• The Banjolele is a four-stringed instrument with a small banjo type body and a fretted concert size ukulele neck that was very popular in the '20s & '30s. It features the distinctive sound of a banjo and the small scale tuning and playing style of a Ukulele. The instrument uses standard ukulele tuning of G-C-E-A.
  • The drum head of Kmise banjolele made of polyester with great elasticity has a quick response. Equipped with superior Aquila String from Italy and high quality closed geared tuners, this banjolele can not only produce a bright and percussive tone but also be in an accurate intonation and stay in tune well.
  • Compared with other banjoleles, Kmise banjolele with action 3mm at the 12th fret is very comfortable for beginners to learn because players do not need to press too hard with such a low action. Preset with truss rod inside the neck, players can adjust the action with the wrench as needed. Smooth fretboard and neat fret wires also offer comfortable touch and protect hands from being scratched.
  • Kmise banjolele has various playing methods. It can be in a traditional resonator style or an open back style by detaching its back. Traditional resonator style produces a mellower, softer sound while the open back style has a brighter sound.
  • Kmise provides 90-day warranty for the banjolele and lifetime string replacement. If there is any problem with Kmise banjolele, please feel free to contact us and we will reply to you within 24 hours and help you solve the problem ASAP.

Love it!! Great sound! Well worth the money!

High quality. Great sound. Takes forever to get the nylon strings to stretch- literally you won't be able to play one verse without having to tune it again! Finally, after about a week of continually tuning, they have started to reach equilibrium.

I found this from a Google search for the best banjoleles and this sweetheart does not disappoint! As with all banjo-style drumhead instruments the bridge must be installed when you receive it, or a local luthier or instrument store can perform this service for you. I found a couple of YouTube tutorials and did it myself with no prior experience in minutes. It's heaven for me, who has always loved both banjos and ukuleles. It's so enticing and quirky and magnetic and friendly an instrument to me. I stuck Harold & Maude and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy stickers on the back, clipped a Kermit the Frog charm to it, and rock out to Hamilton's 'The Room Where it Happens' and Scissor Sisters' 'I Can't Decide' with my geeky self.

This is the cutest little banjolele! I freaking love it, can't put it down! Great quality for the price, has a nice weight to it, and has that banjo twang! I would highly recommend getting yourself one!

Very good value! The sound is banjo like and gives volume that most uke players miss. It was set up well and has a nice action on it. Weight is fairly light since it doesn't have a resonator ring. Banjo was purchased used on Amazon. The only thing missing was a small screw on the back, that I quickly repaired. It wouldn't have impacted the playing even if I'd ignored it. Delivered on time and packed well. I would recommend.

Arrived intact and earlier than expected. Seller is friendly and helpful. Was afraid I couldn't place the bridge, but did so easily after reading a few online forums. Measure distance to 12th fret, from nut. Put bridge the exact same distance, from 12th fret onto the head (drum surface.) That worked for me, but forums say you can make tiny adjustments if needed. It sounds good and feels good to play. I'm very happy about this purchase. I have an all-wood tenor Makala ukulele and an all plastic purple Waterman soprano. The banjo-ukulele sounds plunky, good for picking and strumming. Not too loud, but louder than the ukes.

I would have been satisfied spending three times the cost of this well-made and great-sounding banjo uke. It looks good, it feels good in my hands, and it's loud! It takes several weeks of frequent touch-ups to get it to the point where it holds tune. It comes with the bridge un-installed, and some folks have been unhappy about that--because they haven't read the review that specifies just where to place the bridge (just as far again down the body of the uke as the 12th fret is from the nut). I had no trouble with that. Mine came with the bridge in two pieces (busted), but these folks sent me a whole replacement uke within days of my asking for a new bridge. I'm very happy with this instrument.

well made. sounds great. extra strings included.

Love it! Took forever to get here but it was worth the wait.

Purchased this for a serious musician as a fun new instrument. It has an excellent weight, it’s rather sturdy. All were impressed with the quality of this item. Excellent!!!
