Installation was straight forward. Don’t throw anything away-there is a cardboard screw position template that you will want to use. This thing is heavy, you will need a helper unless you are a he-man (or woman) with three arms. The grommet provided is too small to stay in the knockout hole for the wiring access, so I just piled on the electrical tape. I know this violates code, but like living free (if you want to camp beside the mouth of a volcano, no one should be allowed to stop you). It looks great, “professional “. Most importantly, wifey loves it. There aren’t really any ‘filters’ like the old hood, but it looks to be an open ‘baffle’ system that will catch oil and collect it in a tray at the rear, which are all easily removed for cleaning. All that said, I would recommend it. I just hope it is holds up. Good luck with yours. The seller sent a follow up email to assure that no damage had occurred in shipping - none had.

Really like its 6 speeds from whisper to powerful. It looks shining and easy to clean. I bought it with a good price and fast shipping. For the installation, the duct connection is flexible for either ceiling or wall outlet, round or rectangle adapter(both included). I use it to replace my over-the-range microwave. It's very easy for me to just hook and seal for the duct work. But I have to prepare power cable/plug and proper screws/bolts by myself. The 4 top mounting holes are deep inside of the hood. I don't want the whole weight of it(43 lb) hanging on the bottom board of my upper cabinet, so I drilled 2 extra holes on its rear panel to fix it on wall stud. It needs to take off the baffle filters, bottom panel and motor covers to do all the installation.

I purchased this powerful range hood (Vesta 860 CFM 30”)to replace my 2 year old Broan 250 CFM. This one is easy and convenient to handle with the touch control pad when you are really busy at cooking. It has 4 scale selection of venting capability. At the highest scale, it rapidly suck in the cooking smoke from oven counter and sides over 30”. I have used it a week now and so far it has worked very well. It indeed very powerful. I did had a little problem to install it under the cabinet alone because it weigh over 40 lbs. But I managed to overcome it by using two pieces of lumbers to support it on its two sides. By the way I would more appreciate if you could include 4 longer screws. It would save my trip to home-depot in the middle of process. This product is the best in both quality and the price, and the product description is clear and accurate. I definitely recommend it to other customers.

This is a very nice hood. Installs with various ducting options. A little heavy and the lights are hot but you won't be lifting it after installation and it is over a hot stove so the drawbacks don't mean much. Installation would be a lot easier with a template to install the mounting screws. It took some work, but I was able to install the hood without assistance. It looks beautiful and has a lot of power. Pay attention to the size. It is bigger than the inexpensive ones you get with the builder or at the big box store.

We like how easy to use this range hood is. It looks modern, and the build quality is great. The only thing is the noise level: it could be quieter - its not bad, but not the quietest one out there. The lights are actually LED halogen bulbs - I think GU10 sockets - they are easy to replace with just a twist. One last word: everything is easy accessible with just a few screws, so in case it breaks it should be easy fixable a few years down the road.

This was such an upgrade from our old 200 cfm unit. If you plan to install it yourself, which you totally can, just make sure to get a cabinet jack. It will save you a ton of time and your back. The electrical wires like other poster have mentioned can be longer and thicker. Also, the rear mounting screws were a bit hard to reach because the motor was blocking part of the holes. Those were all minor considering the quality of the unit, price, suction power, and noise level. It’s a great buy for the quality and built. Can’t say about longevity of the unit because I just installed it. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Very satisfied with Range Hood. Delivery ahead of schedule via UPS and was properly packaged. Range Hood is well built and stainless steel was free of imperfections. Halogen Lights have two levels, the brightest being more than sufficient to cook by. Fan controls require two touches to select level. Top 3 levels are fairly loud, but rarely used. Installation is fairly tricky and will require more than one person. The manual is pretty vague and dimensions of pilot holes are impossible to read. Had to use my tape measure carefully to figure out where to position my screws (There are a total of 6 screws - two in front are installed last.) Once I had it fully installed, I tested and cooked with it and am very pleased with my purchase. Great value for a quality range at this price point.

I have replaced my old Broan hood with this one VESTA 860CFM 30'' - and we like it very much. It's very quiet and powerfull - it has 2 motors and very powerful, for the normal cooking operations we only use 1 and 2 speed. The light has two settings. I have replaced the halogen lighs with LED lights from Amazon Philips 465104 LED GU10 Dimmable. Halogen lighs are 50w and they are heating up and use too much energy. Also 4 screwes that come with the hood are too small 1/2 " and can't be used to hold the 45 lb hood. Hood made from good materials and looks like it's made with the quality and good engineering design. They sell same models on Amazon under different brands. Vesta has lifetime warranty on motors and the best price. Best quality for the reasonable price.

This fan is great. China really out did themselves on this one. It looks good and sturdy, and it moves air faster than Bernie Sanders can promise free stuff you'll never get. I put this in a kitchen I was remodeling, and turned it on. We had 3 doors open for air flow. We started smelling sewage for some reason. Then we realized that this fan, despite having THREE open doors in the room was pulling air from the SEWER LINE in the bathroom! Now, this only happened because the toilet was removed during the remodel. If you have a toilet, this won't happen to you. My point is that it moves a LOT of air. A worthy purchase. Good job China. Whoever you copied this from did a good job designing it.

It looks good and feels solid and sucks out air with force. I couldn't believe the low price and hesitated - but noticed that apparent clones of this hood are listed for sale at over $300. My concerns were unwarranted. One suggestion - My unit had an audible hum caused by the internal power transformer . This isn't a ding against this product - I'm sensitive to hums and in my experience other hoods do this too. The issue is that manufacturers always fasten the transformer rigidly to the metal frame which then acts like a sounding board that amplifies the transformer's innate low vibration. I removed the four screws that fastened the transformer, put a couple of self-stick felt pads beneath it, then fastened it back using cable ties through the original screw holes. Presto, totally silent. So if you are bothered by hums, power the unit up before installation and check. The fix I've described is very quick and simple.
