Solid as a rock

This product is exactly as advertised. Most impressive is the weight of the hooks - when I removed them from the box I felt I definitely received the quality I paid for. These solid supports will assuredly hold whatever I decide to hang on them without issue. I’m just waiting on the early, chillier days of spring to pass so I can buy beautiful plants for them!

Hi quality and THICK metal. Packed super well to make it through shipping. The part that sticks into the ground is not spiked at the end, so it was a bit hard to set into the ground. I'd recommend measuring your exact need in terms of size. The size provided seems to include the part that sticks inside the ground so it is shorter than I want it to be. Just order the larger one if you are in the same boat. Nice item for its intended use.

Heavy duty, excellent for hanging plants or birdfeeders

Very sturdy, excellent shipping. I used this to hang a bird feeder in the middle of one of our flower beds. It's about 4ft above ground at the top once inserted into the ground. The quality is very good and it'll more than hold the 4-5lbs of bird feed. I'd feel more than safe putting a decent sized hanging pot off the hook as well. I'll be back to buy a few more for other projects around the yard.

It works. Though I did find the 65-inch height actually a bit shorter than I had estimated after I hanged my bird feeder on it. With feeder’s hanging loop adding another space down, it hanged a little lower down yet. I shortened the loop string of the feeder to help, though about 3 inches was all I could cut. My yard’s soil was also harder than it appeared, so pushing it down alone wouldn’t work—I had to dig deep into the ground first before I could place the hook into place. Perhaps a sharp pointed end of the rod might be a plus. It’s so far holding up, so we’ll see how it takes when bad weather comes.

The finish on this hook looks professionally done - which might sound like an inane comment, but I can't believe how many of these poles I inspected at my local gardening store that had rust spots on them. It was easy to put in the ground AND it's withstood at least two severe Midwestern thunderstorms (strong winds/rain) and remained perfectly upright. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a hummingbird feeder. The box it came in arrived partially open, but no damage to the contents.

Excellent product for hanging steel targets

More than happy with the product. They bend a little more than expected but I was putting a lot of force on the top of the hooks while trying to drive them into the ground. I found the easiest way to drive them into the ground is to take the 25lb steel silhouette target and hammer the flat section at the bottom into the ground. Works perfectly. Holds the targets up, let's them swing, and the hooks don't fall over from the weight of the target as long as the medium they're in is firm and not loose sand or gravel. Great product will definitely end up purchasing more when I get more steel targets. Also followed up to make sure I was satisfied with my order and didn't have any issues, that they said they would take care of right away if there was. Awesome customer service.

The hooks are extremely strong! I'm using them to hold the heaviest of my bird feeders and I am confident this Shepherd hook will hold unlike the ones I have purchased in the garden centers. These hooks don't bend when inserted in the hard Georgia clay. I plan to order more for the large heavy flower baskets.

Well Built Shepherd's Hook for the Heaviest of Wildlife Feeders & Planters

This is a very well built "Shepherd's Hook" and has the strength and height we were looking for. Now that we have seen and used the first hook we will be ordering more. Sturdy, Looks Nice!

This does the job for our hummingbird feeder. It’s in a flower bed, & has never fallen over despite high winds &/or wet soil. Has not rusted all summer — and is very close to sprinkler head.
