I desperately needed a keyboard and didn’t want to spend so much on a wireless one, even though I got one anyway which I’m hoping it’s good, I will do a review on it soon. But let me just say this USB Type C to USB has been incredible. I am using a Logitech Keyboard right now as I’m typing this and it’s a regular Keyboard that is wireless and I’ve had for years and It works like a charm. Super easy, no installation needed at least for my device and it’s working flawlessly with no lag what so ever. I honestly think that anyone who has an IPad Pro needs this! Especially if you are planning on using your iPad as a laptop replacement as I am currently. However extra accessories are pretty costly and being on a budget I had to get something that was affordable and realistically will be able to function with most USB technology. Definitely am very pleased. Amazon Basics is definitely not Basic when it comes to the build and how amazing it functions. Definitely going to be purchasing more Amazon basics products. Cheap and functional.

Allows a USB cable to use the New USB Type C Port (Example External Hard Drive)

Got a new computer with the High Speed USB Type-C port. I wanted to use my Western Digital External HArd Drive with it and this Adapter worked Perfectly! The small end plugs into the USB type C-Port on the computer and the other end lets the two USB connections plug into each other... Works Great!

comes in real handy! I have found that when I try to charge an iPAD or iPhone from a regular USB 3 port coming off of some adapter on my MacBook Pro that there is not enough current, and so the phone or iPAD says "NOT CHARGING" This is a pain, so I have normally had to use a wall wart and power the lightning cable that way. NOT ANY MORE! With this adapter I can plug the Apple lightning cable into it, and it delivers the juice directly from the USB C port on my MacBook Pro and charges even the iPAD. This is great! This adapter has multiple purposes for me with my computer, but I especially like the unexpected ability it has to deliver enough current to charge my iPad Pro, because those things hardly ever charge from a computer USB port!! NOW IT CAN.

This works great. I use it to charge my phone from my computer and use my usb on it. I wish it was about 1" longer since I used it on my iMac and the plug on the back is kinda high up but I can still use it without going to the back of my computer.

It Works Really Well!!

My boyfriend just bought a new Mac Book Pro & there are no USB outlets on it. We needed something quick so he could use it on his radio show that weekend. We ended up getting something cheap since we had to pay for next day shipping. This came on time, and was exactly what he needed. We were planning on getting a better quality one but there is no need because this is perfect! We will probably buy another one to have one at the house and have one in his backpack.

Super happy with this for now! I finally got to connect my external drive using this. To me it’s much more worth it to get this connector than an entire hub (my first hub broke on me in less than 15 uses).

This is the first cable/dongle I ordered after I bought a new MacBook Pro with only USB-C connectors. This allows me to use any of my old USB-A devices with my new computer. Nothing to configure. Plug it in and it works. Very short cable, so it is easy to carry in my dongle bag. Well made. Costs far less than the Apple version. Having the Amazon name on the product gives me confidence that it will last a long time. Inexpensive enough that I can replace when/if needed.

I had to buy this because apple sucks they keep changing the port types and it hurts my head because they aren't all the same this little tool allows me to charge my phone charge my mouse charge my keyboard on the macbook when before i could not.

Works like it should.

I got his USB "C" to USB 3 adapter because of the 3 inch cable on it, puts less stress on the USB C port on the computer than the short stubby ones with no cable. Does the job, as do most Amazon Basics products. Makes it easy to use my non "C" USB thumb drives and to connect my Google Pixel XL phone to my laptop (the Google Pixels are all USB C).
