Great investment for the price. My eyes aren't what they used to be, so reading the engraved sizes became a challenge. Sitting there squinting was slowing me down, so I ordered these Steellables socket labels and I reach for the right socket the first time, no problem. I treat my Craftsman set like my baby, so it's always clean, but I gave them another round, let dry, wiped with alcohol, and then used my needle nose to stick these on. Let them sit on the shelf for a day to dry, and these seem glued for the remainder of my natural life. Highly recommended. What's there to say about it? I had cataract surgery in my 40s -- the double whammy of presbyopia and not seeing well in low light. Most of my sockets are old-school -- no laser etching, no SAE/metric color coding. Some pro tool brands, like Blackhawk, have markings that are notoriously hard to see, even for those with perfect vision. Thus, these labels are a godsend. They apply and stick as advertised. They're visible with just reading glasses. Sure, you might lose a bit of cred among hardcore tool guys. So what? You're sticking them to sockets, not rare coins. If this increases their utility, who cares what the tool snobs think.

Overview: Everything was exactly as advertised. I couldn't ask for more! Shipping: I received this product in the time specified. Packaging: The stickers were on a slip of paper in a resealable plastic sleeve. This was mailed in a envelope. The package was easy to open and the stickers were easy to remove. The instructions are printed on the reverse side of the sticker sheet. Product: The stickers removed easily from the paper with no troubles. I used my fingers to apply most of the stickers and even the parts that touched my fingers stuck very well. After the recommended 24 hour period the stickers held fast. Being that they are stickers, there is a slightly raised edge, but otherwise they fit smoothly all the way to the edge of the stickers. They seem to be held tight and fell able to withstand the rough conditions the tools may be subjected to. The chrome backing color nearly perfectly matches my sockets. The white text on the colored circles makes it easy to read even in dark conditions. Additionally, the colors make it easy to immediately determine if the socket is metric or imperial.

Trying to figure out what size the socket is can be very difficult. Trying to distinguish silver writing on silver sockets is nearly impossible, especially in low light conditions (ie. in the shed or under the car). Having labels that are easy to read, color coded for wrench size is awesome.

These labels look great and allow me to see the type and size of my sockets and wrenches without squinting or having to take the tool out into the sunlight before I can see the faded or grease covered engraving. Very simple system - GREEN for Metric and RED for Standard. NOTE: You must be absolutely sure that the tools are vey clean (no grease or oil) and I also found that if you warm up the metal sockets and wrenches to at least room temperature the decals will stick better. I set my tools under a lamp for about 1/2 hour before using the decals and they seem to work much better than when the tools were cold.

These make finding the proper socket MUCH easier! I'm sure I will eventually manage to scratch them up enough that I'll have to replace the labels, but they're pretty tough, and if you clean your tools properly first they'll stay stuck. They seem to have more options since I first got these, I didn't get labels for my biggest sockets the first time around so I'm ordering more to make sure that every last socket I have is labeled.

Why didn't I get these sooner? They are really handy. I needed 2 sets to do all the sockets in my new Bostich feed through socket set, but they only cost a few dollars per set, so that was fine. These sure beat the heck out of squinting at sockets to read the sizes engraved in them, especially the really small ones. They go on and stay on and are clearly readable for old and young eyes alike. I consider them essential for my wrenches. How did I get along without them? Why am I asking you? Get them. You won't be sorry. Once applied, they don't peel off easily so if you think neatness counts as I do, put them on with tweezers, keep your grubby fingers off the adhesive and pay attention so they are all neatly lined up and oriented in the same direction. You will end up with a nice, clean looking, readable set or wrenches when you are done.

I have so many sockets...I carry them all in a couple of toolbags. I really like that the metric and SAE are different colors. I bought 4 strips of these labels. You do need to clean the sockets with alcohol before adding the label. I wish there was a different mix of the number of the most common sizes. I still have some stickers on sheet 1 but have used the sizes of all 4 sheets for the most common sizes like 1/2 and 9/16. I never was good at looking at a socket and knowing its size without looking at the markings. These have made my socket bags better organized.

The labels are very easy to apply and very easy to read. I have had a lot of difficulty reading the markings on all of my sockets no matter what quality brand they are. With these lables applied, I can easily see what socket I need and grab it without having to squint, and strain to find the right one. I am very impressed with the quality of the labels. The big question is yet to be answered......... how will they hold up over time. My first impression is they will last for many years. I would recomend these labels to any who has a sight problem.

Nice addition to my old style sockets that don't have the laser etching that many new ones have. Definitely make identifying a socket much easier. If you have a complete set of SAE and metric sizes, including deep sockets, you would be well advised to order two sets. One set just isn't enough. Suggestion: Check each socket before applying the decal to make sure you are putting the right decal on the correct socket (learned that the hard way as you probably guessed!)
