I've used this to assemble an entire T'au army for Warhammer 40k. It has been exceedingly useful and far cheaper than Games Workshop's official tools. I have no complaints about the evenness of the snippers or the sharpness of the blade. The tweezers have proven themselves on more than one occasion. The only thing I'd really recommend from GW is their plastic glue. It works extremely well. Between those two items you can build an army for under $25 in tool costs. I'm so glad I bought this kit. It has made all kinds of crafts I do monumentally easier. My only complaint is that the exactoblade cover is very cheap, so the blade actually ended up piercing the top of it. I stabbed myself pretty good picking it up out of the box because I didn't notice. But honestly, this kit is WAY cheaper than anything stupid games workshop sells. And I've recently got into putting together miniatures, so this is a great beginner kit. The clippers are very durable and very sharp, so they do the job extremely well. They actually have a metal file in here as well, which I was really impressed with because it has worked great for the plastic minis I've been putting together. I'm extremely happy with it and I think this is great for beginners in miniature building. I also do book binding and the files/blade were very useful for that, too. So any hobbyist who has need for files and blades ought to get this kit. Plus I was extremely pleased it comes with a durable plastic carrying case. I've never seen a "starter kit" this durable/cheap/and satisfying. Great work, guys!

The X-acto knife was most familiar to me as I had built stick and tissue models in the 50's and graduated to plastic models as they appeared. The tweezers almost kept me from avoiding putting a final part on but one of the toggles on a TEL spat up as I tried to shift to the exact position and it shot off to I know not where. The sand paper finger could have had a coarser side though I was more successful scraping with the knife to smooth the attachment points once detached from the sprue. I avoided using the nippers until I got to a point on the TEL railings that was not a valid detail but was a way of keeping the ends fully formed. Then I found the nippers to be probably what I could have used earlier. Cut once! Puzzle twice!

I ordered this kit because I mainly wanted the nippers, case, and tweezers, but I've found that all the tools in the kit have come into use in a recent model build I did. The nippers made quick work of separating parts from the sprues, the tweezers were perfect for placing tiny decals and holding onto small parts, and the finishing sanders helped smooth surfaces where the nippers had left a small amount of sprue (because I didn't get as close to the part as I could've). For the price, you get good quality tools that will come in handy in future model kits, and in other hobbies as well.

I like it and that's all that matters. And if I like it you should like it too! Why, because I'm the one typing and really have nothing to say and since I am typing, I will go with the facebook mentality of forcing my opinion down your throat until you realize how toxic facebook really is and you walk away shaking your head at all the crap that your old highschool friends and you don't really like them nor want to be like them so you decide..."I am going to build a really freaking cool Robot out of the 4 wheeled dump barrel outside that has mind control via the HackerBox that I picked up!". Where was I...oh yeah...pick up this set, I looked around it was the cool and the best price at the time.

There are a few negative reviews of this Modeler Tool Kit, but I'm not sorry I bought it. I've used every piece and have no complaints. The case holds all tools plus a few more I had on hand. I don't put extra stress or pressure on the tweezers and they hold the parts I need to hold without bending or slipping. I've used the sanding boards to flatten LED bulbs that polish up nicely. The nippers cut way closer than wire cutters I'd used before and are my #1 tool for removing parts and cleaning up flashing. The value is my primary reason for moving from a 4-star to a 5-star.

These are priced well, and while these tools will not last forever- they will certainly get you far enough to establish a good tool-kit for working on models or miniatures. I think they are labeled for making gundam models, but I use them for dungeons and dragons miniatures, and I have used each tool. The tweezers are a little delicate, but you should not be using them for heavy duty stuff anyhow.

Awesome tool set for its price; I've been able to build a couple SD kits with it without the tools deteriorating too much. Would love to move on to HG 1/144 models with them one of these days, as I feel like I'll be utilizing more of the tools. As a casual Gundam hobbyer, a kit like this is more than enough for me (smoothing out those rough edges feel awesome and professional). A good starting point for if you really want to get into more complex building. If this had came with an outline pen, it'd be extra complete for sure.

These tools have been very useful for my model building. Separating parts from molds with clips, use of sanding and Emory panels for smoothing, and exacto blades for trimming has helped tremendously. Nice addition for modeling.

Great little set of tools for modeling. I was making do with Xacto knife for the sprues but the clippers in this are excellent and definitely the preferred tool for this operation. The craft knife is sharp and the files are very comfortable to use. Definitely recommend for any modeler looking to get into the craft :)
