Perfect tool kit for the beginner.

A great basic set of tools for the beginner or traveling modeler. I just got the modeling bug again and needed a set of build tools to get me going. This set fit the bill perfectly. I needed sprue cutters, sanding sticks, and a hobby knife - the file and tweezers will surely come in handy as well. I used to spend $30 or more assembling gift tool sets like this to give away to new modelers. It’s great to see Amazon serving the hobby so well! If you are buying this with a model for a beginner, make sure to buy some Tamiya extra thin model glue (green cap). Obviously make sure the sharp tools are age appropriate.

Excellent starter kit for beginning modelers

Just started back into modelling and needed everything! This little set was perfect! Has most everything you will need to start building a kit plus a convenient storage case. Very pleased with the quality of all the tools and the price is hard to beat!

Comes with clear case, tips for storage in review text

Came with everything that one would typically need for a model build (used the kit to build a Gundam Barbatos Lupus). Recommend to wipe down the tools and separately bag the sanding stick and file to avoid more file dusts when stored in the case (yes, it comes with a little clear case) with the other tools.

Gundam up and running

I bought this for a gundam model kit it is soooo much better than using razor blades or utility knifes. The tweezers alone are worth the price of this kit, they made putting on stickers a breeze and I was able to recover a piece that I dropped and fell in the crack of the wall with them. Overall very impressed with everything included and it's quality.

Fantastic for beginners like me

This has stuff in it I didn't even know I needed. I'm so glad I got this kit. I've cut about 40 sprues and the clippers are still going strong. There are multiple xacto blades. It's just an incredible deal. I don't know the durability of everything, yet, but it's already paid for itself at least twice over. Even if the clippers broke tomorrow, I wouldn't feel like I overspent at all.

Great tool set for building Gundam or any models.

Bought it mostly for the clippers which are sharp and work great. The rest of the tools are good too, but the parts separator which I didn't even give much thought to when I bought the set has been just about the most useful tool in the set, and have not scratched any parts prying them apart with it like I used to do on occasion using a hobby knife or such.

Very nice set of tools

Every tool seems like high quality. I especially like the knife and pliers. Very useful for making clean cuts on the ends of each piece.

Some cutters cost what this kit costs. Better than expected quality with the cutter, tweezers, etc.

New to gundam building this is a nice little starter set

New to gundam building this is a nice little starter set, only because if you want to ever get really serious a pair of nipers can cost you up to $60 or more. But ones like those are really low profile, cut to the main part with out leaving a nub and wouldn't leave stress marks.

Pretty complete kit with everything you need to start building plastic models.

Great little tool kit for model builders. Purchased for my nephew for all his Gundam model kits. He loves it, so I do too!
