Best in this price range for large steppers
Be careful adjusting the pot while it is running, it can short it. They are also sensitive to excessive heat. Best stepper motor driver for the price if you have to move a large stepper.

Stepper Motors have been working great replacing old faulty 3d printer motor drivers. Have never seen the 3d printer work better. Very responsive and helpful customer service in figuring out resistance/voltage/current equation for tuning, would highly recommend them.

These boards may not be the genuine famed Polulu boards but they do use a genuine A4988ET QFN IC by Allegro. A lot of these types of boards I have seen use a cheap knockoff chip. There are other breakout boards that are more heavy duty but these should work fine as long as you keep their limitations in mind.

How to identify the sense resistor value to calibrate the current
I ordered these. They seemed like a good value. ELEGOO's Web site is under construction and I couldn't find any information on the product there. I did find printed on the bottom of the circuit boards, reprap.org/wiki/stepstick . Reading about what was originally a DIY motor driver, to calibrate the current accurately, you need to know the "RS" value, which is the Sense Resistor. So, the Reprap design bill of materials calls for a .1 ohm Sense Resistor. That limits the output of that design to 1 amp. Fine for 1 amp motors. THESE BOARDS USE .2 ohm SENSE RESISTORS and are therefore good to 1.5 amps, but you must do the math using the right values. Here is how to know what you have. Hold the board so the potentiometer is at the bottom. Then, to the right of the big black A4988 chip, the are two resistors. R200 = 0.2 ohms that's the 1 amp version. R100 = 0.1 ohms, that's the 1.5 amp version. Just know which chips you have if you are using these as replacements. They will work fine at lower current, but if you follow the calibration procedures, you need to know the value of the Sense Resistor. Have fun!
