Nice looking and sharp
I purchased two of these knives for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loves to cook and the past two years I've purchased more expensive, larger knives. This year I wanted to give him two nice smaller knives. Bought the 4 and 5 inch. These were incredibly sharp and the handles are very unique looking. He loves them and uses them daily. Hope they stay sharp!

Beautiful Knife!!
Very nice for anyone who likes to cook. because it is a wood handle i would recommend for someone who is going to take care of it and hand wash it (don't throw it in the dishwasher). Super sharp. I bought a block that matches this pattern (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GL95B98/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and they are without a doubt the best set of knives Ive owned in 10 years of cooking.

You cant beat these knives.
Sharp, firm, balanced. You can't find a better knife for the price. You will spend thousands to match the quality these have. I'm buying the set next. This was the second Tuo knife I bought. Wanted to make shre the first wasnt a fluke. It was so sharp and just felt good to hold and use.

Great piring knife for big hands
I bought this along with some other items to explore Asian/indian cooking. love it, the weight is good, very sharp and the pakawood is smooth warm and primitive. not sure how the edge will hold up, but I enjoy sharpening and this is available in a 62+ hardness (for additional money). if your thinking about getting an ungodly expensive competitor? unless you are a pro, reconsider; for under $200 total I was able to get the knives, board, scale, wok, sushi kit, and thermometer. Thanks Tuo Cutlery, you are making affordable cooking dreams come true!

LOVE this knife!
I was looking for a durable, sharp, and inexpensive kitchen knife to buy for my workplace kitchen. The knives there are all terrible and I was sick of mashing my food instead of cutting it. The thing is, I didn't want to spend a lot on something that might just fall into the same state of disrepair that the other knives fell victim to (even though I hid this new knife in a fairly unused part of the kitchen). Enter the TUO knife. Normally you can say that you want durable, sharp, and cheap but you only get to pick two. Well at about $20 this knife hits all three out of the park! I have used it daily for over a month to cut fruit or chop veggies for a salad and it is still going strong. As an added bonus, I love the flair of the wood handle. It's so much better than most other knives in this price range with black plastic handles. Overall this knife is excellent for daily driver light kitchen duty. The only very slight nitpick that I have is the (very, very slightly) raised branded lettering on the blade. When I am cleaning this knife, food particulate (especially animal fats from bacon, etc.) tend to get caught on the lettering, requiring a little extra scrubbing. But once you know to look for it, it's mostly a non-issue. At around $20 this is a total 5-star purchase.

I can't say enough about how well made this knife is and how happy I am with it
I really got into cooking about 2 years ago and have been on the fence with laying down the money on a great, quality chef's knife. If you're on the fence like I was, it is worth every penny that you put into it and I can probably speak for everyone else who has bought one. Presentation: The box is very well made as works as a good case for the knife. It comes with a rather large microfiber cloth. As well as multiple pieces of padding with a red velvet type material. The knife: Beautifully crafted handle that is easy to grip with my massive hands but is sturdy. (I'm 6'4 and have large hands) The damascus steel blade comes out of the box sharp enough to cut a lot of things with just the weight of the knife. All in all I really do love this knife and anyone who's on the fence with buying it, I urge you to take the plunge. It is worth every penny

A steal at $22 or less - Bought one, then bought several more.
I got one of these and I liked it so much I have bought several more. There are knives you use and they work, and then there are knives like these that feel good and you enjoy holding and using. My only caution is the handles are full size, perfect for me, but if you wanted a light paring knife, these are bit heavy. Very comfortable, pretty and a steal at $22.

Functionally are great. Awesome value use everyday.
Ordered a few of these to have for guests or when my shuns are sent out for corrective sharpening. Functionally are great. Very sharp. Well balanced. Aesthetically awesome. I actually love using them. The only thing is that the steel seems to be not very hard. It gets dinged up pretty easily unlike my shuns that take a beating and have never dinged in the 10 years I’ve had them. I doubt the hardness rating. Good thing they aren’t expensive. Just plan to take appropriate case to file with each use and occasional sharpening and honestly it performs like a knife 3x the cost. Some have commented on design flaws which I will address: - heavy handle and drop issues. This is highly subjective. I like a beefy handle and I find it perfect. - knuckles don’t clear bottom when chopping. I do t have this issue. Ever. And I have thick hands. Unless you’re a giant... - knives unbalanced. Nope. I find them perfect. Awesome value for the price. Have used everyday for a year, cook huge batches, still look and function like new.

Lovely knife. Well worth the purchase.
I love this knife. It's razor sharp out of the box. The blade has enough meat on it's bones to be sturdy, but not so much as to feel heavy to use. The handle is gorgeous and ergonomic, though "pakkawood" simply seems to be laminated acrylic impregnated wood very much like the gunstocks that you can buy. I bought this to supplement the Fiery Phoenix set I bought as I prefer to have a chefs knife and this one very much fits the bill. I will update later if my impression changes for any reason, but so far I am very happy with this purchase as well as the set I bought. The only thing I haven't tested is the longevity of the blade and how it wears with use. This knife in particular will see the most use.
