Great value... exceptional quality... outstanding results!
The SOLIDO rectangular pizza stone seems much more sturdy than my former stone (by a different manufacturer), which shattered one day in my oven. I usually don't really care about product packaging, but this stone came in a heavy box. The pizza stone was lined on all sides by tightly fitting foam which protected the heavy item during shipment. The box makes a perfect long-term storage container for the stone. The stone is pretty big, so I don't have a convenient place for it on my kitchen shelves. But I can stow the box in my pantry, standing next to a shelf. After the oven cools, I simply dusted off the stone and slipped it back into the box until I need it again. The stone doesn't really "do" anything other than to create a perfect cooking surface for the pizza. Nothing more, nothing less. And it works perfectly in this task. It is well-designed and manufactured. The heat spiral in particular, is a distinctive design feature I had not seen before. I think it's fair to say it did make a difference in the way that the heat is transmitted/retained by the stone - which ultimately translated into an even cook on the pizza - Delizioso! This product also came with concise instructions about proper care. The overall instructions can be summed up as: just use it. Don't scrub/soak/wash it. Sounds good to me. The additional support and pizza recipes are a nice touch as well. My first efforts (using homemade dough) got great reviews from the family. It should work just as well with store-bought dough, or for that matter with frozen pizzas from the supermarket. I don't really bake but because of it's rectangular shape and judging by my results with pizza, I have no doubt that avid bakers would find this stone equally appealing. Impressive Pizza Stone
What a great product! We had to try using our new pizza stone from Solido-baking and were very impressed. My wife makes a great pizza and if there was ever a problem, it was the crust seemed hard to get right. Our very first attempt with this product was a home run! The crust came out perfect and I think the technology behind the stone really makes sense. And I want to mention that I am seldom impressed in getting a product delivered, but this Pizza Stone is massive and has an impressive weight. It comes extremely well packed. I can't imagine anyone that doesn't enjoy having home made pizza not enjoying this product. I know we're extremely happy to have found it. We'll probably even update this review later with a quick recipe for making pizza that is easy and delicious. I actually had a little reluctance to order it initially as I wasn't sure I would like a rectangular stone, but it turns out that this is actually very practical. Our pizza will fit on the stone with no problem and we don't have to worry about tomato sauce running off an edge and into the oven. I think I actually prefer cutting the pizza with some room around it to prevent any messes. Seriously recommend it!

Great stone!
Was looking for baking stone replace one I've had for over 10 years. I bake a lot of pizza and bread so I needed one that would stand up to wear and tear I would put on it. The ones I found in the typically kitchenware stores were cheap and thin (I've tried those before and they are a waste of money). I was a little skeptical when I read all of the great reviews for this stone. I thought to myself, "how much do these folks REALLY use the stone? Occasionally pizza?". After reading the product specs I placed my order. When I received the stone I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of construction. The stone was as thick as my old stone, plus has ridges on the bottom to increase the strength. I put it to use right away and it did not disappoint. It fills the width bottom rack of my oven approx. 70% and almost 100% in depth. The stone surface is large enough for 1 medium sized pizza or 2 - 9" round loaves of bread. When baking bread I mist my oven with water to create steam and this stone has so far has had zero issues. Very happy with the purchase!

Better than others--by far
I've only used it once, but I can tell you that right out of the box I was impressed. We've used other pizza stones that did the job okay, but this one is better by far. My wife and I both liked the rectangular shape, and the Speed Spiral underneath is genius (why don't all pizza stones have this?) It doesn't need to be seasoned before use, and can even be used on the grill (which I haven't done yet). It's a little more expensive than others but you will find it worth every penny. And it's not just for pizza!

Amazing! Get one!
I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this pizza stone and I’m so glad I did, because it’s simply amazing! By far the best homemade pizza I’ve ever made, with a nice even perfectly cooked crisp crust. I put the stone on the center rack and preheated at 550. Look at the pics I’ve included of the finished product...the pictures say it all

Cooked my first pizza on this stone yesterday. Crust came out crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside - just like I intended. I was worried about some of the reviews talking about an off-odor given by the stone, but that was not my experience. Cooked my pizza, turned off the oven, sliced the pizza, and than got the idea that I could use the residual heat to cook some extra pastry dough sitting in the refrigerator. Rolled out the dough, spread a little cinnamon and sugar on top and put the dough onto the stone. Cooked the dough just fine.

What a beautiful product that also happens to make top notch pizza! You can definitely tell that this product is very well made with quality materials. It's heavy, but not too heavy, and definitely heated our pizza to perfection. Can't wait to try it for cookies next! Oh, I also wanted to add that it's quite nice to look at so we actually just leave it out on display in our kitchen. Thanks Solido!

GREAT PIZZA STONE - PERIOD!
I just bought a couple of these stones - one for my house in the States and the other for my house in the Caribbean (Nevis). I'm a pizza guy from way back where I started working years ago for a guy named Tom Monahan and his brother James at their first hole-in-the-wall pizza place called DomiNicks when I was a freshman in college. Tom brought out his brother and changed the name to - you know - Dominos! Fast forward many, many years - I've owned an Wine Spectator Award, beach front restaurant on the island serving the Caribbean's best (in our customer's opinion) thin crust pizza from our wood burning oven - so I have a little credibility in the pizza game. I like to cook at home as well go out and so I ordered the Solido stone's for my houses. These are great products - heavy as can be, well made and they do the deal. Just buy the damn things and make make some great pie at home - you won't be disappointed.
