Perfect fit, and one holds the hood up. Only issue was the end broke during installation, which is likely my fault as I've never done this before. I was able to screw the end off and use the end from the old strut and it works perfectly.

00 dollars for one i like fliped when they told me that

now i can tell you i was real worried about ordering these i did a lot of shopping around the auto parts store wanted 26.00 dollars for one i like fliped when they told me that . so i settled for these there great , no more fumbleing around with grip plires on the old hood strut too hold the hood open anymore , sure would buy again ....

Snap off snap on

All you need is a hood prop and a small screw driver. Took me 10 minutes tops. It is about a 1/4” too long but it will compress and fit. ( that is to help hood stay up) 06 Dodge 2500

Work great!

Awesome, with only one of the new ones installed, the hood raised on it's own. Wouldn't stay up on it's own since I bought the truck. With both installed I have to use a little muscle to pull it down. Love the new shocks /supports.

Got 2 more sets for my neighbor's Dodge RAM 2500!

I performed the install by myself using a stick to prop up the hood. The job requires a small flat blade screwdriver to open the end clips. Once I had my stick in place and tool in hand, it took all of 2 minutes to replace both struts. These struts don't just hold the hood open, they actually push the hood open! They are great. Almost 1/3 the cost of the OEM struts.

Fits perfect for 2006 3500 Mega Cab

Got it in two days, VERY secure packaging job. Fits perfect for 2006 3500 Mega Cab. Stronger spring force than stock. Installation a piece of cake, plenty of YouTube help if needed. Snap off the clamps of the old ones with a flat head screwdriver and just pop these on - done! Not necessary in my opinion but I reused the rubber/foam dampener off the old ones by cutting them off then gluing them back together on these.

Wish I had done this sooner!

The outside box was crushed in on both ends, but the box inside containing the struts was in perfect shape. Install on a 2004 Dodge ram was quick. I supported the hood with a pole, and undid the holding clips on the hood end with a small flat tip screwdriver. Then removed the holding clips the same way on the fender. Placed the new strut (piston up, chrome shaft down)on the hood end with a "SNAP". The hood was almost up as far as it could go with the stick holding it so the fender end of of the strut was almost at the right location to "SNAP" into place. Both sides were replaced. Now, the hood stays up without the threat of coming down on my unsuspecting head! We'll see how long they last!!

Perfect fit

Perfect replacement for 2006 Dodge Ram Hood struts. Don't slide the little clips all the way off and you should be ok. Ten minute job took longer because I popped off one of the metal clips. It took a bit to try to get it back on.

I am actually impressed with this product. It was packaged very well. Infact, i don't think i have seen anything packed so well.. Bubble wrap both shocks and tightly inserted into a box.. Did install within minutes and is impressively strong. Able to take the hood out of my hands and lift it with no issues. Will definitely buy again.. good product. Thank you..

Fits and operates like OEM

I installed these on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500. They installed just like the OEM ones and work perfectly. No more worrying about the hood knocking you out while up under it.
