Like Mary Poppins - this case is Practically Perfect in Every Way. fits my 500 lens like a glove with room for two filters and the lens hood - will allow me to hike with the large lens and not carry a larger backpack. Great product and well made

I can't even believe how cost effective this product is. Nor could I understand why anyone would put a close to thousand dollar lens in anything else. I have a Tamron 600mm lens and it fits perfectly with the lens handle and lens hood turned backwards. The case also fits nicely in a backpack because I think it's weird to carry it on your back like arrows in Hunger Games. Long lenses are great for hiking to shoot birds, but also very heavy and difficult to carry on long hikes. Finding safe and comfortable ways to carry them is very beneficial. This case has super sturdy construction and the lens might even survive a short fall. I am very pleased with this purchase and would not hesitate to purchase with this company again.

I've used lens pouches from LowePro and Think Tank that are tops in materials and construction. but at a price. This deluxe lens pouch provides very similar protection, and in a more cost effective way. Outer materials appear durable while perhaps a little less dense than the other national brands. The inner sleeve is ample and should protect your lens from bumps and dumps, but that's just my opinion since I'm not willing to test that out on purpose Zippers move smoothly so there shouldn't be any binding. If there's any weak points, it could be the plastic D rings and clips on the shoulder strap. I'd feel more secure if they were metal. The XXL case is the one referred to here that I'm using to carry the Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8E lens. The lens fits comfortably without forcing it, and that's with the lens hood inverted and attached, and the tripod bracket in place. I've read that some people are trying to use just the XL size, but with mixed results. I think you'll feel good about your investment in this product.

Previous online reviews seemed inconclusive so I was pleasantly surprised to find the case holds my Tamron 150 - 600 mm lens with both lens collar and a Spider lens collar plate attached. Just slip into case lens mount first and then slide the reversed lens hood over the lens and zip the bag closed. Carrying strap is neatly stowed when not in use and while I've not yet traveled with it the case appears to offer desired protection inside my backpack without undesired bulk.

Bought this to store and carry the JBL Xtreme. The case has a shape that requires the JBL to go in a specific way. It fits perfectly with no forcing or stretching. I doubt the power cord and block would fit, and I didn't expect it to. Overall this case seems like a very good fit, well made and good protection for the Xtreme. Very happy!

This case is well made, and really nice looking. It does fit my Nikkor 200-500mm lens -- but I have to leave off the lens hood. Kind-of defeats the purpose for me since the hood is part of the lens protection. It's very close to fitting the lens with the hood on, but I'm afraid to force it for fear of breaking the hood. So, if you want to carry your 200-500mm Nikkor without the hood, this would work fine. Lengthwise it fits. The diameter of the case only works without the hood. Maybe it would work better with other lenses.

GREAT value at a reasonable price. Don't hesitate on this one. I've ordered another one for an alternate lens. I like these because I can leave the hood extended on a Canon 70-200 2.8 or a 100-400, allowing quick attachment without having to fumble with the hood in field use. Well padded, quality stitching, and a bonus microfiber cloth and lens cap string if you want to use it. Altura gets a thumbs up from me!

The lens case is light but tough, well padded, and spacious. I purchased it for my AF-S FX Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6 ED VR lens, which squeezes into it even with the tripod mount attached. The zippers have loops for locking like airline luggage, which is a nice detail, but seems unnecessary, since it'd be just as easy to steal the whole pouch. There seem to be a few odd design choices, such as the zipper pouch so small I don't know what you'd carry in it other than a few sticks of gum, or the two straps that cinch around it for no apparent reason. Still, none of these details detract from the product itself.

This case fit my 150-600 Tamron zoom, the lens shade and the mounting foot perfectly. The high density foam provides ample cushioning, a soft slippery lining doesn't attract dust, zippers are robust and the mesh bag in the lid is perfect for a small dust brush.

Love this bag, and highly recommend it for the Tamron G2 no doubt. Turn the hood over and snug it in the bag first, set the lens right in with the tripod mount attached is no problem at all. Nice touch with the shoulder strap pad with a handy pouch for SD cards or whatever. Great size for easy access and transport.
