Received my Spectra glasses today! I am writing my first review, as I have never been this impressed with a product since finding Saddle Back Leather! These Glasses immediately stopped my eye strain. About me: I work as a defense contractor in Afghanistan, and I am surrounded every day by monitors of three separate government networks...My eyes burn daily and I first heard of the Blue Blocking glasses from Dr Jack Kruse...I purchased the glasses, figuring, for the price, what have I got to lose! I let three office coworkers try them on and they immediately felt the difference as well...and took the card which came with the order, to write down and buy and later as well. I sit under a huge amount of fluorescent lights, and computer screens, and my eyes hurt until vacation, where I refuse to look a monitor...These glasses are amazing, and the personally written card, with a business card which came from the seller's really made my day being away from the USA! It felt like in the simplest form, these seller's care, and I know they probably didn't know their glasses were going to the war zone, but they did, and I can not thank your business enough. The product is the best!!! Thanks again, and I will do my best to turn as many friends and family, your way for better health!

I've never had an issue going to sleep at night, as I'm generally exhausted and collapse at the end of my day. My issue has been waking up in the middle of the night (3:30, 4:00, 4:30, etc) and not being able to go to BACK sleep. I've only used these glasses a few nights, but the results were immediate. I get actually sleepy when I put them on. And best yet, I sleep through the night. Amazing. Will use for two more weeks and update my post, but so far, so good! Thank you so much. My only complaint, which really isn't their fault, is that I need glasses when I take out my contacts. To block out the light, I put on these glasses under my prescription glasses. Doesn't work that great, as my prescription glasses tend to slide off my face then. I try to time it so that I go to bed soon after getting ready so the situation doesn't last that long. Figured it was better to have glasses that fit my face rather than over my glasses (so that's my own fault - but still think was the better choice). I think these glasses are working pretty well though. I also bought two other pair -- for my husband who has similar issues to me -- and my electronics addicted teen - who stays up too late being electronically stimulated. Will post an update to see if it helps either as well later.

The lenses are great for blocking out blue light - they really do work. My eyes feel more tired at night when I'm watching TV or using my phone before bed. I do feel like I can get to sleep a little bit faster. I know it's a bad habit to begin with, but I like to watch TV or use my phone right before bed and I feel like what they say about the light is true. These glasses have helped with that. I'm docking two stars as the plastic around one of the hinges cracked after only wearing them a few times. I'm a frequent wearer of glasses so I'm very careful with handling the frames, so I do not believe I was overly rough with them. I think the support around the hinges is a little weak and when I opened them, they flexed a little too much and it put too much stress on the plastic. Now I just leave them open and set them on a shelf near the bed. *Update 12/13/16* Seller sent me out a new pair to replace the original ones that cracked near the hinge. New pair is great and haven't had any issues yet. Great customer service by this company to send me out a new pair. Updating my review to 5 stars.

These are GREAT. FINALLY found a pair of blue-blockers that fit a smaller woman's face. The wrap around design is perfect. Thank you. UPDATE: Have deleted several stars; the frame broke within a month of watching evening TV. BUT we were able to Gorilla glue them back together adequately - happy camper. BUT THEN, the ear piece snapped and they became useless -- After about 4 months of light usage in the evenings. Apparently not very sturdy. UPDATE UPDATE: Out of the blue (ha ha) this seller contacted me to report that they have refunded all of my money AND sending me a replacement pair. Wow. Will see how these hold up.

My only complaint is that the frames are large, but I'm small and that's the reality. The glasses are lightweight and wrap around my face, fit comfortably, and let in almost no light. I've tried the new updated model which feature a new strong yet flexible frame. They work! I would highly recommend them to people having trouble sleeping! Their customer service is wonderful and they are very responsive to thier patrons.

i waited a bit to write a review so i had adequate time to give these glasses a go in the most ambitious setting: at my workplace. i have photophobia (sensitivity to light) and also work at a large electronics retail chain where i sell computers for some of the best buys. you might have heard of them. anyway, the lights from all those screens plus the lights just everywhere else did a number on my eyes, and i tipped into migraines pretty quickly. my migraines are debilitating and did in fact send me to the ER once from a stroke scare, because apparently migraines can do that. pretty wild. anyway, i got these shades specifically because i wanted lenses so tinted as to block out AS MUCH BLUE LIGHT AS PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE and also cover a fair portion of my range of vision as to not hurt my eyes from the contrast. i absolutely did not use these for sleep because i used these while at work and at home, on my computer and off, whenever i felt the headache coming and needed to give my eyes a rest. and i LOVE them. in fact, i'm wearing them right now as i type this. it was a little jarring at first going from regular light to ORANGE, but i got used to it pretty quick. they cover enough of my vision and are tinted enough for me to physically feel my eyeballs relaxing when i put them on in relief. just today my eyes were a bit more sensitive than normal so i wore these around most of my shift to give myself that safety net while i otherwise treated my headache. with these on i GREATLY reduce my risk of migraine and increase my ability to stand in a room with the lights on. also they look pretty solid if i'm being honest. a lot of migraine shades are... goofy, for lack of a better word. i love these glasses. i highly recommend them. i will continue to wear them every single time i need to and to work and i hope i don't accidentally forget them at home because i'm pretty sure i wouldn't be able to do my job as well without them. they allow me to actually look at the computer screens i'm selling which is kind of important. so here's me, a migraine sufferer, saying these are REALLY good shades to get if you have light sensitivity. like really good. they're an incredible deal compared to those pricey prescription lenses or fancy lenses. these are exactly the kind of funky orange shades you need. everything is orange and it is wonderful.

I have a small face and these are the first blue blockers that have fit me. Also they are quite comfortable and do not hurt my head or ears. They also are very effective at blocking blue, yet do not decrease my vision. Some I have bought only block a small percentage and what's the point of that? I always wear blue blockers when in artificial light. I can see well at nighttime driving as well. There are so many artificial lights to mess up our health at night...street lights, car lights, signs.. They are also more fashionable that the others out there. Blocking blue light has given me my health back. That and getting plenty of the real thing--Sun-- on my skin and naked eyes. We humans are pretty stupid to block out the sun when we can clearly see all of nature needs it. I guess we think we are exempt.

I purchased these glasses after having worn the orange Uvex glasses that I'd imagine most sleep hackers start with. After a month or 2 of daily use I was sold on the science but wanted a pair I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear in public or answer the door with. After reading many reviews and debating budget etc I decided on these. When compared to the Uvex I personally feel these glasses let a slight bit more blue light in. We have a coffee maker with a blue LED that I can't see at all with the Uvex but can ever so slightly see with the 479's. That said, when it comes to style and comfort these leave the Uvex in their dust. Lastly and most importantly is the customer service. Within the first week of use one of the rubber earpieces started pulling off the arm of the glasses when I removed them. Not a huge deal I figured I would just glue it. I emailed the seller to ask if they had any suggestions for which glue would work best long term. They replied almost immediately, offered a suggestion, confessed this had been a problem on 2-3 out of their last 1,000 and asked for my address to send another pair out. They even told me to keep this pair as a back-up. TLDR; This is my first review. I felt compelled by AWESOME customer service. Get a pair you won't regret it.

OK so I have had these for a little over two months now and wanted to write a review that was not based on just an initial perception. I can honestly say that these have positively affected the way I fall asleep and I am now addicted to using them before bed. In today's world we often fall asleep to the glow of a screen, in fact I can't count the times my iPad has fallen on my face as I have passed out. With these glasses I can say now that I seem to fall asleep more naturally. (not to mention my eyes are protected from a falling screen - so double win!). I cannot describe it better, but my drift of to sleep feels more natural and for lack of a better word cleaner. In turn I seem to wake up more refreshed and it for whatever reason feel better. All this tells me is that there must be something to this Blue light thing. It is one thing to read about it an another to experience it first hand. I am a believer and am incredibly grateful that I not only have these but they have helped. I now have them or everyone in my house. Great price, great product, I cannot recommend them enough. Thanks!! (and they look pretty cool too!)
