Great Product / Fantastic Seller

I love this light. Over the years, I have purchased and installed a variety of cheap, and cheaply made, solar spotlights. None of them provided sufficient light, and none of them lasted more than a couple months. After years of frustration, and stumbling around the driveway in the dark, I finally decided to do the job right by purchasing and installing the Alpha 1080x. The Alpha 1080x works exactly as advertised. In fact, you can watch the manufacturer's youtube video and see a very accurate demonstration of the light in action. The light has three different modes (always on, on low and bright when motion is detected, and off until motion is detected and then bright) and all of these modes worked perfectly. Additionally, the solar-charged batteries are replaceable, and the bulbs are LED, so the light should last for many years. The recommended mounting height for this light was 13 or 14 feet, but after seeing how bright it burned, I decided to go a little higher and mounted mine at 17 feet high. This additional height had very little affect on the light's ability to brighten my driveway, and had no affect at all on its ability to detect motion. Now.....a little bit about the seller: After only a week of use, a tree branch fell on my Alpha 1080x and broke the mount that I installed to a tree. This caused the pole and 1080x to fall 17 feet onto my paved driveway. Unbelievably, the light continues to work perfectly, but the adjustable mounting connector did break on impact. I contacted the seller, and they immediately shipped a replacement connector to me. Keep in mind..... the broken light was not due to poor construction or by any fault of the seller, and I told them this, but they sent me the replacement part free of charge anyway. I am not easily impressed, but the Alpha 1080x is an impressive product that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a powerful, reliable solar streetlight or spotlight. The only thing more impressive than the light is the customer service that I received from the seller. I would buy another 1080x from them tomorrow if I needed it, but the coverage is so good that one is all I need.

Great outdoor lights when no power is available.

I live in a rural area of North Carolina, and needed to have some lights on my driveway. These lights are wonderful. I bought three of them to light a 30' x 30' parking pad and driveway. I put them on three 14 foot 3" PVC pipes, spaced about 15 feet apart. I buried and cemented 3' of the PVC pipe in the ground, and mounted the lights (with the solar panels facing south) 11' above the ground. This set up provides ample light for about a 25 foot radius. The lights are lightweight enough so that the PVC poles provide a sturdy base, even through hurricane conditions. They provide ample light in order to see on the darkest of nights. And with the built in solar panel and lithium battery, there is no hassle of needing an external solar panel or battery source. I have them on the dusk/dawn setting with motion, so they will only turn on if it senses movement and only during darkness. There are other settings, but this one works for me just fine. They worked flawlessly since I installed them. I would highly recommend these lights to anyone and would buy them again, without hesitation. When I get a chance I will upload some photos.

Bright lights! Perfect!

We recently purchased a home out in the country and the yard is very dark! When these lights arrived I was skeptical due to the size. As it turns out I was pleasantly surprised!! The lights are perfect and the dusk to dawn feature works as described!! I highly recommend. Great purchase especially for the price!

I have used this light for 3 months prior writing this review. This light is worth every penny! I own an Ice/water Kiosk and placed these lights around the top of the unit. Normally stays in dim mode (which lights up the machine, and is very eye catching from the road), then when the customer arrives, the light goes to bright mode. Even during these winter months when it gets dark early, the solar charge usually lasts all night. Mounting the light was easy. I was able to flush mount the base to a flat surface with the provided hardware instead of using a pole. I originally only purched 1, now I own 4.. Perfect! And the best part is, this dosent cost a penny to operate.

Great Light!

I live in a 2 story home and I attached this light to the eave, just underneath the roof shingles of the 2nd floor. It covers the whole back of the house with light from side to side and it extends out from the house about 15 to 20 feet. So, I purchased a second light to cover the pool. The pool light is NOT on in the attached photo.

Alpha 1080x a great light.

I purchased this light over a month ago. I am very pleased with the light output. It is very bright. This is just what I needed at my backyard gate. It was rather easy to install. I used a wall mount TV mast and attached it to the fence. This makes it easy to lower should i need to. Just as advertised on their video . Thanks

Best solar flood lights, hands down. You can't go wrong with it!!

The package arrived quickly. Once I opened the box, the unit itself is heavier (or substantial) than I thought, which is not a bad thing as you know you're paying for quality stuff. The unit appears to be well built and not cheap, the installation was a breeze. I did not mount it on the pole as I have originally intended to, but instead, I mounted on the side of the wall which I intended to brighten up the alley that leads from the street to my backyard. I've owned six solar powered floodlights. They all work fine but none of them can beat the brightness and the build quality of this Alpha 1080x. The sensor works great and the brightness level has exceeded my expectation. I have to say that I'm a happy customer. If I need to purchase another solar powered light in the future, I will definitely consider this brand again.

One of the best

Amazing how much light this unit puts out. A perfect combination of solar cells, battery, and LEDS. I needed something for the chicken yard without running power to it. I placed this light in several different locations to see which one would be best, finally mounted it high up. Only one time did the light fail, when it was in a place that only received three hours of direct sunlight. Since the final mounting, it works until daylight. Bottom line - I'm very satisfied with this light. Highly recommend. UPDATE: Six months later it's operating at the same level as when I installed it. As winter approaches with shorter days, I was a bit worried about the loss of charging light. In the dark at 6am it's as bright as ever. Excellent product.

Bright and Easy to Install

This is a bright light and easy to install. It is installed on the north side of the house on the fascia or bargeboard. The lights design solved the problem of the building facing the wrong way. I used a level to draw a level line on the the fascia and screwed the mounting bracket down. The light then slides onto a wedge type mount and is secured with a screw. There is a wrench included for tightening and adjusting the bolts that set the light angle. My light is set on Mode 2, dim light then bright when motion activated. I think it puts out a lot of light. Lights up the stairs and the parking area. The light feels heavy and well made. I am very satisfied with this light.
