- SMALLRIG Universal Lens Support with 15mm LWS Rod Clamp 1784 mounts on standard LWS-spaced 15mm rods and is designed to take much of the weight of heavier lens off the camera's lens mount.
- SMALLRIG Universal Lens Support provides physical support for long lens, thus relieving the potentially damaging pressure on the camera's lens mount.
- When connected to a cinema lens's support foot or a still photo lens's tripod collar, the lens support removes the weight stress from the camera's lens mount.
- Composed of lightweight aluminum, the lens support has a vertically adjustable bracket so it can accommodate 50-140mm lens diameters.
- The rod clamp part is compatible with any standard 15mm LWS rig.

Good build quailty and functionality - a great lens support for the money.
Love the flexibility of this lens holder. Yes, it seems a little bulky, and I doubt I will used the full vertical adjustment, but the bottom of the Y shaped piece also serves as a foot to keep the end of your rails off the ground. Good build quality and I really also like the two slots cut into the top of the arms of the Y piece whic allow you to use two strips of velcro to clamp the lens body to the holder. Make sure you use two pieces of velcro, as opposed to one, with the joins positioned at top dead center, over the top of the lens, so that you can undo BOTH layers to get the lens free quickly. Components used to built my DSLR video cage rig: Smallrig 1750 - Professional Camera cage Smallrig 922 - 90 degree Rod Clamp Railblock for Side Handles Smallrig 1784 - Universal Lens Support with 15mm LWS Rod Clamp Smallrig 1674 - Low Profile Base Plate with Rod Rail Clamp Smallrig 870 - 2 of SmallRig 15mm Carbon Fiber Rod - 20cm 8inch Long Complanate Surface (non-thread, Pack of 2) Smallrig 1061 - 2 of DSLR Camera Rod Handle, Leather Grip with 15mm Rod Clamp ( Black) Smallrig 1053 - Aluminum Alloy 15mm Rods 30cm 12inch Long (M12-30cm) (Pack of 2) Haoge 50mm QR Quick Release Clamp Adapter with 60mm Plate (Compatible with Arca-Swiss Standard) Fotyrig Camera Top Handle Cheese Handle Grip with Cold Shoe Mount I also made sure to get some 1/4" to 1/4 and 1/4" to 3/8" threaded screw adapters to fix things to the cage Total came to a little over $320, but I now have a completely bespoke rig that feels completely right to me (despite being a novice), and I've had good feedback from others who have seen it regarding functionality and stability. I need to add a little more to give me a shoulder rest. but overall I'm stoked with the end result! I specifically put a QR clamps inside the cage, under the camera, to make releasing the camera easier without having to disassemble the whole cage. I use the cold shoe to lock the top of the camera to the top plate of the cage and increase rigidity, but this does make removal a little more involved. I then attached the ARCA plate from the QR clamp underneath the cage such that I can instantly clamp the rig into a tripod if I need to do a panning shot etc. The 8" carbon rods are used for the handles - one 16" rod, split in the middle, that sits in the handle clamp but come out without having to take one handle off the rig. Handles stow for a reduced footprint when packing away. Please like this review if you found the information here helpful. Thanks!

Supports your heavy lens, when attached to any camera
This little gizmo works great on supporting heavy lens on any camera. I have used it to support heavy Nikon and Sigma Lens on both Sony A6100 and Nikon D750 cameras (the lens ranged from 30mm F1.4 to heavier 70-200mm F2.8 lens. It doesn't impede focus, zoom and just gives you great piece of mind, while taking a load off your camera's lens mounting ring.

Starting point for telephot lens support
Combine this with the Camera Mounting Plate Tripod Mounting and a couple of 15mm rods and you get a pretty stiff and light support for a MFT body with legacy telephoto lens. Nicer and more adjustable than a certain steel support that I also have. Adjustments seem to hold. Just wish it came with something to go over the top of the lens to hold it in place. Maybe I'll use a rubber band. Seems to be very well made

Does what it should
It holds up the lens to take stress off the mount. the ratcheting knobs are a nice touch and allows me to tighten it up on the rods with limited space.

A must for film, video and photography
We are in the film, music and video business. This product was just what we needed to hold up our 400mm lens during production. It is very sturdy and easy to put on and take off. This is a must for every film, video and photographer.

Food quality built
Ah what can I say... it holds the lens... but it is really well built and it has a little weight to it which makes it very stable.

Five Stars
Does what it's supposed to do so far. Can't speak for how long it'll last.
