I first received one as a gift from my sister as we were moving into our new house, and it helped us big time surviving through painting many rooms, and installing flooring. They are also PERFECT to take on a road trip! (It lasted through both events for my family of 5) After that, I absolutely had to order another because me and the kids truly enjoy the variety of it all. My daughter, a teacher, absolutely loved this!

I gave this to my daughter as a gift for the first day of school. She is a 5th grade teacher and that first couple of weeks can be extremely busy for her. She sometimes forgets to bring a lunch or eat lunch. She really loved this box full of goodies and it brightened her day. There was a great variety with the items and quite a few things she'd never tried before but was excited to do so. This is not just an ordinary box of snacks and I would recommend this to anyone. I purchased the kit because of the name. "Hangry" - how very clever and it perfectly describes how I think she gets at about 3:00 pm!

Great for College Student Exams

This was a great gift for my college freshman, who was preparing for exams. It is so nice to have found a company that has a good selection, good service, and good delivery.... and all of that for a GREAT price!! In the past, with my other college students, I had to use campus companies that not only charge wayyy to much for this same type of "exam kit", but when I got to check out, they would add an additional $30 for shipping. I had to be very selective in deciding when/why to send fun kits. Now that the "Hangry Kit" is an option, it will be fun to be able to send a variety of their kits during the next couple of years for different events.

Surprised Daughter At College

Sent this to my daughter at college as a surprise. She really liked it! The box itself made her laugh! She said there was a great assortment inside and was very happy.

Great gift idea, great value, great snacks!

If you know someone who gets "hangry" then this is a great gift for them, if you get "hangry" yourself then this is a great buy! I purchased my first kit for my husband (the healthy snack one) and it is great! All name brand yummy snacks, he keeps it at his desk and he has enjoyed many delicious snacks. I was so impressed with the value of the kit I purchased the sweet and salty for a gift for a friend and he loved it! The concept is fun, it's a great conversation gift and it is a great value for the price. Great item, great value, I will be purchasing more in the future, great gift idea!

When the Cracker Jack is good but you don't really like the toy.

UPDATE: After I had already posted this, the company contacted me to follow up on my feedback. They offered a consolation gift (the questionably named "Man Kit"). I told them I had already submitted the review but that I would updated it after receiving the promised kit. I received it a few days later and I feel comfortable bumping them up to five stars. I think the customer service (overall) was excellent, and the response was detailed and specific - which may shed some light on why it takes longer to get a response. I'm very happy with my original purchase, and I really like the Man Kit, and everyone at my work is extremely interested and jealous in these things. Great experience and would buy again. Original Review: Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase. The only drawback is that of the 40 items included, they aren't necessarily equal value. A bag of chips or a granola bar would count as one item, and so would a piece of candy (like a Laffy Taffy). I wasn't really surprised... I didn't think it would be a box full of big items, but it's hard to judge the value when there is so much inconsistency. That said, I keep this in a drawer at work and it's very popular. We don't have vending machines in our building, so it's nice to be able to grab a quick snack when sitting at a desk drains my energy. I think it's a decent value and while I don't think I would buy it regularly, I would buy it again. One comment: The company contacted me after my purchase to request positive feedback. They said if there was *anything* I wasn't 100% satisfied with, to let them know. I replied and said basically my first paragraph, but also noted that I was overall satisfied. I got no response, which for me was a mild bummer - if you reach out to request feedback but go radio silence when it's provided... well, I'd rather you didn't ask in the first place. Again, nothing major enough to keep me from purchasing in the future, but I have a background in customer service and these kind of things stick out to me.

Don't feed the vending machine, feed your tummy

Buy this and never have to spend an absurd amount on snacks again (at least until you eat everything). This kit is A+ and I intend on purchasing another one when I get through this. I get migraines and I wanted to have food in the car for emergencies. The variety suited my cravings perfectly. I would advise you to check the expiration when you receive it - just to have a timeline for your snackage. It's saved me almost every day since I got it and I found some new staples to add to my pantry. All in all, get it. I promise you that you will not be disappointed!

Troops serving overseas LOVE IT!!

I sent this to my spouse that is deployed mostly as a gag gift. Everyone loved the idea of the kit, especially the variety of food items to choose from. It was funny yet also perfect snacks for their go bags. I will definitely purchase this again and have shared the idea with fellow spouses.

A little advice...

For some reason in all the years I've been buying on Amazon and using prime, I never considered the idea of ordering snacks online. So much easier... I'd like to thank the beautiful individuals who decided to cram a bunch of delicious snacks into a box and send it to all the people like myself who were too lazy to go to the store to buy snacks. For the advice, despite what your brain and stomach say do NOT try to eat all of the contents of the box in one sitting while screwing off on the computer. I got about 3/4 through my box, picking out all the good stuff and eating that first. Pretty soon my stomach started telling me I had eaten my fill and shouldn't keep going. I persisted because, why not... Pretty soon my stomach started to hurt a little... Too much. All in all, delicious, convenient, neat design, and a great challenge!
