Very good system for a affordable price !
This is a nice working camera system for home use . Picture quality is awesome in day light and the night vision is still impressive , especially for a camera system in this price range ! I had two cameras with weak signal and customer service did send me two longer antennas for these cameras for free and now they work perfect . I have them running now for almost 2 months and temperatures went down to 5 degree Fahrenheit without losing picture quality or any of the cameras . I use my Iphone to watch remotely the cameras whenever i be out of town , works very well . Setup of the system is easy , just plug and play , the hard drive will record all 4 cameras for about a month before starting to overwrite . Any camera or all cameras can be set to a specific date and time to watch what was recorded and if wanted to make a copy to a USB stick and be transferred to a computer . For this price there is no other system out there working like this !

Great value & quality for price!
Purchased this unit, set up camera's wireless but had to drill a hole or TWO to get power to camera's units have 10' cords from plug in pack to jack that plugs in camera's.Set up after camera's we're up and powered up 4 camera unit. Had one camera not working but it was my power cord. Home had aluminum siding so I kept camera's at about 50' distance from base unit camera's came on screen on fire up! Took a while to work thru INSTRUCTIONS for recording see several options, time and date stamp easy, installed apps on Android and a Apple phone took a bit but can be done if you follow instructions all be basic, and QR code scans as needed. Got to say for the price the picture quality is great! Keeping our property monitoring 24-7!

Highly recommended Seller and Product!! Smonet and Doris Rock!!!
This product is really plug and play!! The picture has a great resolution during the day AND night. I like this product so much I bought another identical 4 camera 8 channel system. I now have 8 cameras and I really like the security of seeing and recording everything on my property. Customer service is also perfect. On my last shipment, one of my cameras started failing intermittently. The signal was strong but the picture would just go out. I contacted (email) Smonet's customer service team. Doris got back with very quickly. Doris professionally helped me troubleshoot the system. It was determined after troubleshooting that the camera might be defective or became defective after shipping. I received a "free" replacement camera the next day. Just to recap; the product is awesome, and the customer service is awesome. I am 56 years old and have purchased many security cameras in my lifetime. I have never been happy with the other cameras that I purchased until now. Everything works like it is supposed to and it is extremely easy to set up. I am a professional in the electronic field and some of the other security cameras were hard to set up, even for me. This system was truly plug and play! I did have a problem with one camera but Smonet stood behind their product quickly. That is old school customers service and that is hard to find these days. I highly recommend Smonet's products! Smonet and Doris Rock!!!

Great Purchase at a reasonable price.
My experience with this unit, though limited has been outstanding, especially with the customer service. It arrived on time with no damage to any of the parts. Make sure you test the cameras prior to setting them up in their permanent place. The cameras paired to the NVR very quickly. Our cameras were placed outside about 35 to 45 ft away from the NVR and have to transmit through a 2" ornamental stone exterior wall and two interior walls, two of which are on a different level than the NVR. The signal icon on the screen read 2 bars for three of the cameras and one bar for one camera. I contacted Smonet thru Amazon and they got back to me well within 24 hours. After answering a series of questions and sending them a picture of the camera's, they sent me a Smonet WiFi ranger extender at no charge. I set this up as a Wi Fi repeater range extender and not a router. If you follow the instructions correctly you should get good results, at least I did. It increased the signal to the highest 3 bars on three of the cameras and to 2 bars on one of the cameras. The results you get using the extender are very much dependent on where you place it, so you have to test it by placing it different places. I had to try 4 different placements before getting the results I wanted. By the way, I have two cameras placed right next to each other in the front of the house pointing in different directions and two cameras placed alongside of each other in the same way at the end of our house without any interference at all. The night vision on all the cameras is very good and I can see at least 60 to 80 ft. I give this system an A and an A+ on customer service for their quick response and willingness to correct any problems with no charge. I will certainly do business with them in the future.

Very good product
This is my second attempt to purchase a wireless camera system and Smonet has delivered a great product with wonderful product support. I had no pairing issues since it was already paired and uses it's own wifi not mine. App works good and had no issues there either. I don't understand why some people can't get this system working. It was really just plug and play. Recorded playback is easy to use. Everything to include the wireless signal strength is top notch. I'm going through 4 walls on 2 of my cameras and the exterior wall is brick and getting 3 bars signal strength. I fought the other system by another company for 3 days and never got it to work and had to send it back. Thank you Betty!!!!

For the money, home run!
Honestly, for the money I'm not sure I could expect more. The product arrived on time, it was super duper easy to setup and with the cameras already pair with the router, literally within an hour I had 4 cameras mounted and functioning. The admin side of the software is a bit techy, but after fiddling around for a few minutes it all makes sense. Picture quality is good, there is a few seconds latency but all things considered, I am thrilled. I did have one camera placed in my garage that is about 60 feet away, the signal has to penetrate 4 walls including an exterior wall and the signal was weak and eventually, it would lose connection with the recording device. But, it took about 30 minutes total to diagnose that it was truly a signal problem, not a problem with the camera or unit, and I worked with support to order a higher range antenna that cost me virtually nothing, a free upgrade to solve a specific problem. I am very happy with the system. It's exactly as advertised, super easy to setup and install, a perfect DIY security system with good support and service.

This product works great. it has more functionality than the sellers seem to realize based on the lack of answers to questions that I asked before receiving. The question that in my opinion that is most unanswered is, Is there a way to extend the network for further out cameras, as these connect back to the NVR unit rather than to your home/office WiFi connection that you can extend by installing more access points. This question was not directly answered when I asked it, and searching thru other questions, they seem to suggest buying an "extended range antenna" that I suspect is an antenna on a cord that you place closer to the NVR unit. The functionality that this product offers that the sellers don't seem to understand is, the cameras are able to function as repeaters as well, up to 3 units out. So you can have one camera (camera A) communicating directly with the NVR, a further out (camera B) Connecting to Camera A, and a further out yet (camera C) that connects to Camera B. To configure this, before installing the cameras that would potentially be out of range of the NVR, power all cameras on, Right click on the screen in the NVR, choose Video Manage, select "Repeater" from the bottom right hand side, and adjust the camera tree from to change the communication path. In the attached picture, I have Camera 1 and Camera 2 talk to the NVR directly, Camera 3 talks through Camera 1, and Camera 4 the furthers out camera communicates through 3 back to 1, to the NVR. It looks like there may also be a possibility of setting up WiFi Extenders on the NVR Wi-Fi network, however I have not had a need to play around with this functionality as my cameras are able to act as repeaters. If I get a chance to test this functionality I will come back and update this review with my findings.

Excellent system - still impressed after six month
I've had this system for six months now and I'm still very happy with my purchase. The cameras feel and work like high quality cameras and their wireless range is very good. I have one located pretty far away and keeps a solid connection to the base unit. The software interface, while seeming primitive on its surface, is actually well built and intuitive and comprehensive. I can be a real critic in this category but nothing about the software interface disappointed me. I had to contact customer service once and even though they are working / responding while I'm sleeping in the USA, my response was waiting for me in the morning and resolved my problem. CON: If I had to make just one complaint - a complaint that did NOT warrant changing my five star rating - is that the single USB input port makes pulling clips of recorded video to a USB thumb drive difficult as the mouse also plugs into that same port. It's takes a careful sequence of: unplug mouse then plug in thumbdrive; unplug thumbdrive and plug in mouse, repeating as many times is necessary until you get it right. A 2nd port would have allowed me to not only avoid sacrificing my mouse to export a video clip but might have also served as keyboard port to make managing the settings a lot easier. UPDATE: As I neared the end of my one year warranty one of my cameras began malfunctioning. I contacted customer service and they were great! We went through a few exercises to rule some things out and ultimately concluded that the camera was defective. They immediately made arrangements to have a replacement sent to me. SMONET has been so great since the beginning that they have my loyalty in the future when I am looking to expand my system or refer a friend to this system.

Great System for the Price
I've had this setup at my house for over a month now. It works as advertised. Setup was fairly easy even though the instructions were not very clear. The ability to view the security cameras remotely via a smartphone is very helpful. I would like to see more instructions on how to access these cameras when I am outside my home network and on a personal computer/laptop. Video quality is as expected at 960P. It is clear enough in both daytime and night time to see clearly. Overall, I would recommend this product given it's price, quality, and accessibility. Upcoming PNW winter could tell me more about this product's durability.

Easy setup but very limited range. Only good for tiny homes.
This product is not a professional product. I have a larger home, approx 3200 sq ft, two stories and want cameras all around my house. I bought this as a cheap alternative to a more expensive system based on all the positive reviews. Sadly, this system doesn't cut it. Anyone who's mounted cameras on their home know what a hassle/job it is. You need to cut holes to feed the power cables into the home/attic and then make sure power sources are available. This is a significant investment in time only to find out that this camera system really isn't all the powerful. Yes this is easy to set up however the wireless feature of this system is limited at best. The range is very low on these cameras. I have one camera two walls away and only 35-40 ft out and my NVR can barely detect it. Registering a rate of 11-13 and constantly flickering in and out. I get an image about once per minute and a blurry one at that. Using the repeater functionality is just as disappointing. When repeating from one camera to the other, it seems to work great for a little bit but then somehow "loses" it's setting and can no longer function properly. I'm using the latest firmware available for the NVR and the cameras. Of course you could wire your cameras but that isn't the point of a "wireless" camera system. I'll probably end up buying a better system at some point. Sadly this has been a waste of time. EDIT: Customer service is unparalleled. They will work with you no matter what to get your setup working. I still feel that a wired system is best, but if you want wireless, buy this one and the sellers will make sure it works for you and basically any cost (to them).
