Woah, I like this thing. It even cut my glass desk during its first test (my fault, not the ceramic's).

I bought this for work to cut boxes open. I mainly cut through the tape or paper-like boxes. I haven't had to cut up cardboard so I'm not sure how it does with that. But it works perfect for what I need. I would recommend.

This has been an invaluable tool on my last colored pencil drawing.

The blade feels thicker/duller than a metal blade, but it cuts just fine. I believe that's the whole ideal about having a safe cutting tool. A lovely tool that's perfect for carving, slicing, or trimming plastic, rubber, foam, and more with ultimate precision. Perfect craft tool for graphic artists, designers and arts and crafts applications – scrapbooking, model kits, and more. I bought this to create party favors and cutout a "photo frame" that people could use in a photo booth. As well as the the curved blade so I could be more precise in my cuts.Used with Slice 10520 Craft Blades, Fits Most Craft Handle Knives, Ceramic Blade, 4-Pack, White They not only function well but cut safely. I don't have to worry about cutting my fingers or accidents as much as a metal blade. Well thought out.

what a help. I've had trouble with scissors lately due to an arthritic thumb. The cutter knife allows me to be accurate in even the most intricate areas. I do decoupage work and need to accurately cut out images.

ART TEACHERS YOU NEED THIS TOOL! These are so much better than xacto blades! They don't come to a point at the end, creating a way safer knife for the student's to use. I have been using these in my classroom with grades 4-8 and the kids love them. The opportunity to do fine detail cutting has opened a door to collage work, fine tuning masks, paper cutting and other types of work. Seriously consider buying a few of these for your class! They are worth EVERY penny!

The best you can get, super high-quality materials will be ordering more! If you work with vinyl products this is a great accessory to own.

The ceramic blades are good with leather or vinyl. I do not use them on plastics or balsa. They work well in cutting such pliable material. They sore durable, but, are brittle. Excellent when used on the right material.

I love this knife, I use it as a color pencil artist to scrape off bits of color especially when working on fur and hair. I did have a momentary problem when the blade was missing from the blade. Then realized that the cardboard covering on the back of the package was missing over the blade. Checked the package it came in and found both the cardboard cover and the blade. I had filed a claim thinking the blade was lost, and they were going to send me a new cutter right away. Canceled the new order, am happy with this blade and the company I ordered from.
