Step up your cord cutting game :D

Purchased to hook up to my projector for the NFL Playoffs/Super Bowl. It’s awesome. I love that I can record/time shift live tv with one of the many thumb drives I already own. The guide is sweet. I haven’t programmed it to record while I’m out yet, but I’m looking forward to it. Plus they throw in the antenna and the audio cord. Awesome. Especially for someone like me with a speaker that doesn’t have a remote. Now I can control the audio remotely. A cord-cutters delight!

Excellent tuner, I recommend, however I suggest using a better 3rd party antenna.

I bought this tuner because my Vizio TV doesn't have a built in tuner. Product is impressive. Has a coax input for the antenna, and several choices of outputs including coax, RCA plugs, or HDMI, and it even includes the RCA cable and HDMI cable so you don't even have to buy those things separately. Most people these days would probably just use HDMI. If you plug in a USB thumb drive, you can record broadcasts too, pause them, fast forward them, etc. It has on screen programming to auto scan the channels, set screen resolution, and a bunch of menus like that. It can even show pictures and movies from whatever storage device you plug into the USB drive. This thing does quite a lot considering the price that it is sold for. One thing however, the included antenna is a basic no frills indoor type, that you have to move around a lot until you get a clear picture (remember the old days when you had people adjust the rabbit ears on a TV? It is like that). I bought a separate roof top mast type of antenna for about $20, and didn't even need to put it on the roof, I just stuck it in my attic facing the general direction of the mountain where the local channels broadcast from, that better antenna pulls in my local stations much clearer than the small antennas that it comes with that you stick behind your TV. So in summary, if you want clearer and better reception, just get a better roof top style antenna.

Great quality and great tuner

Love the remote. It is a fair size. The antenna is not that useful because I live approximately 30 miles from most towers so I use a larger antenna. The HDMI cable is a plus. The tuner is quite effective and with the right antenna registers all available channels.

I put it in the bedroom second-floor. Everything works as it should. I haven’t been able to figure out play back from by one to get storage unit. Wow! This is exactly what I need and wanted and it was cheap. First the box arrived a day early then expected, when I opened the unit I was impressed, didn't look cheap or flimsy either also the remote was really great quality for the unit to be so cheap. I hooked up on the HDMI because my TV doesn't have a tuner, it took about 10minutes to boot then I had local channels. #IF YOU'RE MONITOR & TV DOESN'T HAVE A BUILT-IN TURNER "VIZIO SMARTCAST 4K THIS WHAT YOU NEED.

Easy setup

Works very well and was not hard to set up. It does it's own scan then works like any cable box. One thing I noticed was a black & white picture only if you use the old style Audio/Video cables provided rather than the HDMI cable (also provided) but switching to the HDMI cable fixed that.

HDMI

Works well enough. The antena that came with the box doesnt pick up that many channels. I dont mind because i only needed local news. Another plus is that you can use the HDMI cable only. The cable screw in on my tv broke off so i can only use HDMI.

Omg i am watching tv from my projector

I want to say, I am able to receive 2,4,5,7,11 from my projector . 52 channels come in clear. I have the converter box up high with the antenna. Which helps tremendously. I am very happy with this purchase. I wanted to look at tv through my projector. Now I can.

This product came with everything necessary for a quick and easy set up. The little tiny antenna is shockingly powerful. My other antenna didn't pick up all the channels. I live in an old home with lathe and plaster walls, so I just assumed this was why I had bad reception. Since I cut the cable cord, I've saved a fortune on tv. Now I can finally watch all my network channels if I choose.

Digital Convertor Box

I had dish network and never used it. I only got 5 local channel on dish too. I get 63 local channels and there all really clear with roof top antenna with the unit. I never tried the antenna that came with it. I only have one problem with it there is one channel it refuse to record for me. I think they have it scrabble for some reason. The remote is a little odd on how it works. I have used it to watch movies and it plays them great. There is pause when you give the remote a command but very little. I have had no problems recording programs other but them problem above. For the money you can't ask for more. I went to Sling TV for my extra channel and like it and allot cheaper than dish.
