I'm glad I took a chance on this pan despite some of the negative reviews. Yes, the surface rougher than all of my other cast iron pans. In fact, I don't recommend using a paper towel to rub oil on it as this left little paper shreds. But it's the perfect size and worked great. My OH was very dubious about this and didn't understand why we couldn't just get take out pizza, but after seeing and tasting it, he was a convert. I like making my own pizza so I can control the ingredients. And thanks to the Norpro Wood Pastry/Pizza Roller that was recommended, I am FINALLY able to roll out a circle, lol.

This is my favorite Amazon purchase ever! This cast iron skillet was a little daunting at first but as soon as I had the guts I dove in and attempted multiple recipes. Almost all (with the exception of a few) came out incredibly. The all around flavoring and the uniqueness that comes from cooking with this pan cannot be duplicated. I plan to purchase another that's a little smaller asap!

This is a review for the preseasoned cast iron skillet pan 12 inches. I bought this pan for camping. I like to cook non-traditional camping foods over the fire while camping. You know, like homemade tortillas, chicken cordon bleu, spaghetti. You get the point. I needed a good cast iron pan to do so, and this pan was exactly what I was looking for. I have used this pan a lot since purchasing it, and it has always cleaned up well. I do take the time to rub it with oil know and then and season it again. I also use the Qlty First Cast Iron Cleaner to clean it (I recommend this product as well; it looks like it is a piece of knight's armor). If you are familiar with cast iron and have the muscles to use it, this is a great pan. If you have the strange desire to put all of your pans in the dishwasher, this is not the pan for you.

I love this pan. Use it mostly for making pizza and bread but also on the cooktop for making bacon and other fried foods. The most important thing to do with new cast iron pans is to cure them by oiling generously and bringing it to a high heat. You may need to do this periodically but not always. And leave the pan in the oven while you’re preheating, so it’s hot when you make your pizza or bread. I don’t add oil and never have a problem with sticking. The crust is exceptional when using this pan.

Skillets are beautiful upon initial inspection. Exactly what I was looking for. I am a huge cast iron advocate and believe no kitchen should be without., and these are a great set to get you started. I took some sand paper and steel wool to the handles because the edges were unfinished and sharp, seemingly because of the seasoning, and the cast seams. They feel like butter now. I repeated the process with all sharp edges and the bottom of the skillet. Tomorrow, I am re-seasoning/reinforcing the seasoning on these pans with bacon grease, and will happily update this review once I have a few meals finished with them. These are good skillets, and like all cast iron will get better as the years go on.

I LOVE this pizza pan! I'm a huge fan of cast iron and have many pans! I can't believe it took me so long to get this! Pizza's cook very evenly! The inner crust is just as crispy as the outer edges! No more soggy pizza! BE AWARE - this pan cooks your pizza faster then you would expect! If you are using it on a boxed pizza it will NOT need to cook as long as the directions say! We've had fully cooked pizzas out of a box in as little as 10 minutes so KEEP AN EYE on your pizza until you get use to the pan! Best part is the pizza never sticks to the pan!! It just slides right off when it's done!

Heavy, durable, well seasoned. A bit hard to handle because of the weight; takes both hands and a little strength. I've had it slip from my fingers once when I had it coated with olive oil making foccata bread; made a mess. I use it for home-made pizza, frozen pizza, and it's an excellent base for baking breads and buns. I use it as an oven stone, it helps even out temps in my crappy oven, preventing bottom burning in thin pans.

Very well made iron skillet and heavy! I am still practicing on how to use it and not overcook our burgers and steaks. Good quality and the handle on the other side makes it easy to transfer from stove to oven, to counter top. Just remember to season it after each use to prevent rust.

My kids got this for Christmas. As the one who makes Pizza in the house I have to say that this was far better than my pizza stone. The main reason being the pizza was not too doughy and it had a crisp bottom and was not soggy the next day like pizzas I make on the stone. I would say yes to anyone who wanted to get this!!!

I purchased two of these cast iron "Pizza " pans. I gave one as a gift and kept one. I will be purchasing me another one. I have yet to use it for pizza but have used it several times in the oven and on my gas grill. I used it to grill steaks, grill chicken, toast bread, toast tortilla vhips, hamburgers, roasted tomatoes, and grilled cheese sandwiches. I will be cooking biscuits in it soon. It can also be used for a thin pan of cornbread or flat bread. This pan holds heat well. I like the two handles on the sides as well (one on each side). *** I finally cooked Pizza in the pan. I Love the crispy crust.
