Good Quality Cabin Filter, as good or better than OEM
The carbon air filter is probably the best quality I've purchased. More robust than the non carbon one I removed, not sure if it was OEM but you could see through it with out any lighting behind it. The Kootek would require light behind it to see through. I have not noticed any reduction in airflow in my Lexus since the install and it appears to help with some of the musty A/C smell. Easy to install, just opened the glove box, pulled contents out and opened the little door at the back and slid old one out, new one in and done. My previous VW was a little harder, as it was below the glove box and required a few more steps to get to it. Overall, don't let anyone charge you $40 for a cabin filter change, it's just too simple not to do yourself.

23 Pleats. Solid. Good fit. Highly Reccomended. 30% more pleats than FRAM.
Fits 2016 Toyota Avalon perfectly (2-zone AC). Likely will fit 2013-2018 Toyota Avalons perfectly. Equivalent Toyota filter is approximately $36. I've seen shops want to charge $50 for install which takes 5 minutes via the glovebox. 23 pleats, about 1mm side to side play, perfect fit front to back. Very sturdy. In comparison the fram I had was $23.99 with activated carbon, had 15 pleats and literally twisted in my hands when holding just one corner. This is a far superior product to the Fram FreshBreeze, Fram should really be on notice with the availability of this product and improve their offer. If I were to evaluate this product vs the frame on price per pleat I would take the 15 pleats of the FRAM and divide by $15 (price of similar FRAM product on Amazon) yielding $1 per pleat. This Kootek has 23 pleats and costs approximately $6.50 per filter yielding a cost per pleat of $0.28 per pleat, less than 1/3 of the cost of the FRAM filters per pleat. I change my cabin air filters when there is a musty smell from the AC or in 12 months. The filter I took out had lots of little plant and tree stuff in it. I do not know how it will last as this review was written upon install but the effect of seeing how this compared to the 2x more costly Fram incited to post a review. I would expect it to last one year, if it doesn't I will update the review.

easy to replace yourself
easy to replace yourself. car dealerships charge $50 for one replacement - you get 2. In my case, dealership charged me and NEVER replaced it. I found out because car stunk and then the dealership said... $100 ac system flush to clean mold in the system. The filter that was in the car that was allegedly changed was gross. Instead, I bought these... Now no smell and AC blows nicely. Change filters out yourself out every 15k miles. Sad but true...

An Excellent Performing Filter
I installed one of the two filters in my 2012 Prius about a week ago. I bought this car as a "Certified Used Car" from a Toyota dealer so I expect the filter I replaced (over a year old but with only 4,000 miles on it) was still relatively OK. I've not seen any reduction in air flow with the new one. And, it replaced the old one (which I expect was a genuine Toyota brand since it was installed by the dealer) with an exact perfect fit.

Big upgrade for the 2010 4Runner cabin air filter. Sturdy and thick. The carbon works so well I didn't even smell the mouse nest... only discovered it when I realized there was hardly any air coming through the vents. Turned out the mice had filled the entire intake compartment on top of the filter with nest material, completely plugging the filter pleats with stuff I'd rather not think about, but we never smelled it! 4Runner forums showed me how to remove the cowling under the wipers and install screens over the cabin air intake openings. Problem solved. Good thing the filters are sold in pairs!

Works great, noticed an immediate change in the quality of ...
This fits my RAV4 2007! Works great, noticed an immediate change in the quality of the cabin air upon replacing my old and hella disgusting one that must have been in the car for ages (bugs, leaves, dog hair, ect) I honestly shudder to think about how much of that I breathed in... Go change your air cabin filters people. This pack is dank because it comes in two for the price of one, they have a ton of pleats (20ish) and contain activated charcoal. They also come in separate sealed bags so I'm about to hand this off to my folks as a bootleg gift (RAV4 2009 both V6 :) ).

Very well made and inexpensive
Time will tell but out of the box these are high quality and an excellent price. They are very much more substantial then the inexpensive Carquest one I replaced ,the Carquest one only weighed 2 oz. while this came in at 5.7 oz.They have less pleats so time will tell how well airflow is ,right now it’s only spring.Iam using these because I bought a used Tundra that had a bit of a smoke smell, after using a refresher, completely cleaning the leather and some ozone sprays, the vast majority of the smell is gone. This should do the rest. Also they fixed the Carbin to Cabin Air Filter.

Sooo much better than Toyota factory filters
I bought a Certified Toyota Tundra a few weeks ago. I recently took it to the mountains and I noticed that I was getting a lot of the dust smell on the inside of the truck. After I recieved these and went to check the cabin filter (OEM), I noticed the OEM one was really nothing more than a pleated coffee filter. Extremely flimsy and clearly didn't filter crap, let alone have charcoal for odors. These filters are high quality, substantial, and rigid to put in filters. Definitely buy these over the OEM ones. Now Toyota may have better quality filters available, but the ones that came on my truck are definitely not that.

Clean sturdy build & perfect fit
A 2-pack, for a great price. They arrived quickly, and in perfect shape. They're clean and solid. Lots of pleats, no external carbon dust. Installed the first one and it fit perfectly into my Toyota Sienna 2015 Minivan. I really like the promised level of filtration, and that it uses carbon, too. And I changed this filter myself! I've never DIY'd a car before, although I've done woodworking. A friend told me it was possible, or I would never have thought to try. The youtube videos were a lot of help. I gently used the side of a screwdriver as a lever to get enough flex in the plastic side of the glovebox to pop it out, because it takes more hand-strength than I've got. Had to use a 16 inch forceps (thx Amazon) to pull out mousenest debris from way back behind the filter. Put a a few drops of peppermint essential oil (an anti-mouse thing) on the sides of this new filter, and it all went back together perfectly! It literally took 10 minutes. I am thrilled. It will be awesome to be able to do this again any time I suspect mouse incursions in the future, and I will definitely continue to order this pair of filters. (Note: The price on this was so much lower than a single official Toyota filter, that I was a little skeptical-- so I ALSO ordered the Toyota one, too, as a back-up. But my concerns were groundless, and I will be returning the other product. This Kootek pair of filters work perfectly, and I'll be sticking with them. Not sure why Toyota charges so much more, but it doesn't seem justified or necessary.)
