I've now used this bag for two trips, so I know it fairly well at this point. In my opinion, the 'weakest link' in any rolling luggage is the wheels. It's therefore the most important issue when shopping for rolling luggage. Unless the wheels and axles are well designed and constructed for durability, they will be what fails first. My cheapo 6-7 year old 2-wheeler from a chain store developed wobbly wheels last time I used it indicating imminent failure. I chose this Travelpro case based on rave reviews and what looked like a very durable wheel system. When it arrived, the first thing I looked at was the wheels. Having 'dualies' helps distribute the weight as well as divides individual axle loads, thereby increasing life span. I think if one wheel or axle breaks, the other wheel of the 'dualie' will continue to work fine. What's more interesting is that each wheel assembly is attached to what looks like an easily replaceable plastic mounting 'plate' should a wheel or rolling problem every arise. I rate this case as outstanding in almost all categories. Of course, the wheel system is tops! Being able to roll it sideways in a straight line works very well, too. I'm not sure if it's magnets or some kind of hidden detents in the swivel mechanism that keeps them straight, but they work well. Overall, the construction is what can only be described as 'beefy' and should be able to withstand the 'savage baggage handlers' of TV commercials 30 years ago. But I didn't buy this bag to check it at the counter. I have no doubt whatsoever this will be the last bag of this size I will ever buy. The fabric it's made of is thicker and seems more durable than that of the cheapo bag it replaces. The zippers are also beefy. The interior is surprisingly roomy, and the included 2-fold garment bag a works surprisingly well, too. Having handles top, bottom, and on one side makes it easily carry-able in any orientation. Being able to slide my 17" laptop in the outside front pocket was what clinched the deal for me. I have only a couple of 'nit picks' about the case. First is the too-small zippered pocket directly behind the laptop pocket. I managed to get perhaps 10 folded sheets of 8.5"x11" paper in there after the bag was packed and the laptop zippered in. Perhaps that's its intent, to hold a minimal amount of paperwork, such as tickets. My only other nit-pick is that the expansion gusset is only from the bottom of the case almost to the top of the front section, where the gusset goes to zero. So if you're forced to pack it really full, put the excess at the bottom. I also have zero use for the USB cell phone recharge capability & battery compartment, but I'm sure some users will be happy to have it. Should I need additional rolling luggage, Travelpro will definitely be the first, and probably last brand I look at. I've already recommended the brand to a couple of friends, too!

Great bag. Sturdy. The side charging pocket is not as useful as it is made out to be. It is very useful for holding a bottle of water or a bottled soft drink when moving thru the airport. NO issues with the wheel or fitting in normal overhead bins. Some reports of the narrow opening but I have no issues putting a suit in the bag. I've on about 20 flights so far. Worth it.

Having acquired over a million frequent flyer miles, I'm pretty particular about luggage. This one is the best I've every owned. It's extremely light. It rolls smoothly--I mean really smoothly--through the airport. It's almost effortless to push this thing. The charger pack allows me to sit anywhere in the airport without fighting for a spot next to the charger. The zippers are big and seemingly bullet proof. It fits nicely in the overhead bin, and the reduced weight makes it less dangerous to get it up there without hurting someone. It's a solid little suitcase, and I wouldn't trade it for any other. I bought one for my wife and gave all the Samsonites to my kids. Don't bother with that off-brand stuff from the department stores. It fits nicely in the overhead bin,

This is the first time I have a Travel Pro carry on. Before I tried many brands and always had issues with the wheels. I never liked the design of the Travel pro products but recently I noted that they changed the design and there are beautiful lines. The wheel system is outstanding no matter the type of floor. I bought two Travel pro Crew 21 and just ordered one a little bigger (Crew 11 25").

As always a great bag. Lightweight, well-designed and seems to be compatible with carry-on requirements for most airlines.

This was for my husband who is a pilot. He loves the size of this piece and always appreciates the high quality of travelpro. He has been using Travelpro for many, many years.

A great upgrade from my old TravelPro that lasted over 16 years and 1.5 million miles (and still works, albeit looking really worn). So far I used the new TravelPro Crew 11 on a single trip. It is easy to roll in the airport, hotel, in the plane, and outside. Virtually effortless. What's really good is that my suit arrived almost without wrinkles after a 3.5 hour flight and a 40 min Uber ride. The suitcase is very lightweight. It easily fits overhead (on American Airlines). It looks good as well. Haven't used the USB feature yet, but it's pretty cool to have it. A great purchase and a great job, TravelPro!

The Crew 11 has better layout than the Crew 9. Sleek, durable, and professional. The power pack sleeve allows me to charge three items at once because I purchased a RAVPower 26800 that fits in the sleeve and has awesome storage capacity. My biggest pet peeve at airport is finding power receptacles- no more!

I love the four wheels and used this on a five-day trip. I did not like how the wheels catch on curbs or uneven ground and had to turn it like a two-wheel, but once you figure out how to maneuver it, it works great. There are so many different pockets and storage areas which is great when you are traveling. It fits great in the overhead, but not underneath the seats. My kids are asking for one now. The handle that pulls up at different levels is very sturdy and I had a smaller carry-on bag that fits over the handle and prevents it from slipping and falling when moving the bag. I could roll in down the aisle on the plane of a 737 without any issues. I bought my daughter a cheaper version and the wheels would not stay lined up, My bag did not have any issues and worked perfectly! The bonus garment bag really works well and fits in the bottom of the bag.

I am a very seasoned traveler with over 3+ million American Miles not including the other airlines. I seldom if ever check luggage, and I have a very Tumi Ducati Red Hardside carryon that has lasted the past 8/9 years. I had a last minute trip to EU, that was going to last me for 2 weeks and it was planes, trains, and automobiles. I bought this days prior, and began to roll 2 weeks of business casual clothes inside it. With a proper ironing with each stop the luggage held up with excellent performance. Dallas to Sweden, Sweden to Denmark, Denmark to Barcelona, Barcelona to London- where I had to walk my luggage through the streets of London with no issues with the wheels. EuroStar to Brussels, Brussels to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Germany, Germany to Lyon France, Lyon to Milan, Milan to Rome, Rome to Zagreb Croatia. I am on my return to Dallas and the luggage is a complete winner. Take it from an experienced traveler, this luggage has taken a beating in the first two weeks. The true answer will come if it last 8/9 years like my Tumi and my other Travelpro from my past.
