The shears are great! I got them just before Thanksgiving

The shears are great! I got them just before Thanksgiving, so I’ve only used them for a few tasks. They worked well for disjointing the roasted turkey carcass so it would fit in my pan for making turkey broth and saving turkey bits and pieces to freeze for soup, Shepherds Pie, etc. in midwinter when turkey will be a very welcome treat. Can’t wait. I also used it for cutting up herbs, salad greens and bacon for the green beans. The shears grabbed my wall mounted magnetic knife holder so are always handy to grab find needed. They appear to be very sturdy and well made.

Solid and High Quality -- Fully Recommend

Product: We bought these because the ones that came with our knife set died. I wanted sturdy, hardy, and solid metal scissors this time -- not a combination of plastic and metal. While I haven't tried cutting up a chicken with them as the picture suggests, these are in fact high quality and solid scissors. I have cut several meats with them, thick and tough and these cut right through them as if they were nothing. I also love the multifunction feature of both nut cracking and (while we probably won't use it too much in our home) bottle opener. They wash easily and I dry them immediately to avoid rust (stainless steel will get rust if water containing iron is allowed to sit on it -- it's the iron in the water rusting, not the stainless steel). Service: I was emailed that my purchase was on its way and encouraged to contact them for anything. The scissors arrived on time and packaged appropriately. Soon after I was emailed that my purchase should have arrived by then and I was encouraged to contact them if anything wasn't 100% satisfactory. Well, everything was 100% satisfactory. I am very pleased with the product and the service, and I will be happy to do business with this company again.

Excellent,and super value!

These are super kitchen shears...they have cut everything so easily and cleanly, from chicken to veggies to plastic wrap to paper to foil...you name it! they're sharp and though others said they did not come apart so were difficult to clean, I have found that they wash/wipe/and go in the dishwasher just fine...open them widely and scrub away. I like the serrated edge om ome side, and the opener...grips are large enough for my large hands and comfy...thanks for a good product!

Pretty good scissors much better than the ones you buy with knife sets

Pretty good scissors much better than the ones you buy with knife sets, we use them everyday, so far they have stand almost every task in the kitchen and stay in color and not corrode. I recommend it. Once small improvement is that the bottle soda opener is a little small compare to other scissors, but this is just a plus nothing that affect the real functionality.

Best. Scissors. Ever. We can literally cut apart a chicken with scissors. Walmart scissors can't do that. Grear grips, firm construction, blades are still sharp months later. These are our multipurpose scissors so they can be cutting wrapping paper or a bone on chicken, and still stay sharp. Very highly recommended for experienced scissor users and those new to the scissor game as well.

I bought these to replace my last pair that was cheap plastic I bought from the super market which eventually broke. These are sharp enough to cut any normal kitchen stuff, and just for testing purposes I did cut through a chicken drum stick bone. That being said the hinge on these is made of plastic and I assume that will be the point of failure eventually. That cut through the chicken bone I think was pushing the limits on the capability of these and wouldn't recommend it. I use these for meat and veggies mostly and expect them to hold up well for that type of use. Had for several months used almost daily and washed in dishwasher. Still like new, and haven't noticed any loss of edges.

Small shears; heavy duty cutting

These little guys surprised me. When I received them, I thought they would be too small to get enough leverage for cutting through much. I tried them on a whole chicken and was happily proved wrong. They cut through the chicken bones like it was nothing. Cut the whole thing in quarters without any effort, bone and all.

Great Kitchen Shears

I'd never heard of this brand but bought it based upon the many excellent Amazon reviews. Wow! I couldn't be happier with these. My Farberware shears (which I've had for a long time) literally broke apart the last time I tried to cut up a whole chicken. I had a back-up pair that would always lock up. They cut great, but would go into a lock position after every cut - so annoying! These are nice heavy weight but not too heavy to hold. Great design and very sharp. I cut up a chicken with no problem and they've been great on software items as well. Thank you Amazon Community for finding these!

Good quality kitchen scissors

We needed a good quality scissors for the kitchen as we kept going back and forth between a small utility scissors and a regular paper scissors. This scissors serves our kitchen purposes well. It has some weight to it and opens/closes in a smooth manner. The scissors has a bottle opener on one of the blades and a small toothed grip-like component between the handles. I guess you can use this to unscrew small bottle tops. One of the blades has teeth on it, but only up the side, not on the actual cutting part of the blade. the blades are short, only measuring about 3.5 in from tip to where it attaches to the handle. I gave it 4 stars for durability and versatility because we haven't used it enough to really judge those specific details.

What an improvement!

I putter in the garage a lot, and had two pair of scissors there to cut material and tape. Neither of them worked well and I got tired of fighting. I could have had them sharpened, but by the time I find someone and pay them to do so, weeks could pass and it may cost me more than these new ones. When I got them, I was surprised how well made and sharp these things are. Now I can cut things I'd never have tried to cut with the old pairs. They both ended up in the recycle bin.
