THE BEST Cold Brew Coffee This Cold-Brew-Coffee-Obsessed Individual Has Ever Tasted!
First I'd like to explain that, I am obsessed with cold brew coffee, It's the only kind of coffee I drink anymore, and I have at least 1 cup per day. Over the past year, I've tried 67 different kinds/Brands of cold brew coffee (yes, I've kept track and written them down); some that I have made myself using my cold brew system (all purchased from Amazon or local stores) and some made by local coffee shops (where they just hand me a cup of cold brew coffee (typically with ice). It's worth noting that I ONLY ever mix my cold brew coffee with water or ice, I never use sweeteners, milk or creamers; just the coffee concentrate with water. This way I get the true taste of the coffee. Now that you understand just how obsessed I am with cold brew coffees, here's my review of this Stone Street Cold Brew Coffee: This coffee is, by far, THE MOST DELICIOUS cold brew coffee I have come across. And that's saying a lot, especially since I've tried (as mentioned above) 67 different brands and types of cold brew (including this one). I will continue to try other brands and types of cold brews but so far this is, BY FAR, the best one I've tasted. The flavor is rich and pure and doesn't have slight hints of aluminum, plastic or other artificial flavors like many of the other ones I've tried do... It's really difficult for me to put into words exactly what I mean but the bottom line is that this one just (somewhat magically to me) fresh and pure. I should also point out that I am a big fan of the dark roast, so if you're not into dark roast, you might try another one... but still: If you don't like the dark roast-y flavor (which, btw, is not too intense in this one) then add a bit of milk or cream (maybe combined with a small amount of water or ice depending on your preference) and give this one a shot anyway :) I bet you'll like it! Last note: If anyone has any other brands or types of cold brew suggestions, leave a comment! :) I'm always searching for more to try!

Now, THIS is what I call FIVE-STAR coffee (thanks Rachel!!!)
From one-star to FIVE STARS in one fell swoop! This is a revised review; problem is SOLVED, and boy am I a HAPPY CAMPER again! As I type I am sitting here sipping this WONDERFUL Stone Street Cold Brew Reserve (Dark Roast Coarse Grind) and I have to reiterate that this is hands-down, absolutely the BEST cup of cold brew...EVER!!! This is all thanks to Rachel at Stone Street for reading my original Amazon review (on July 18th as seen below), directly reaching out, making things right, and completely solving my problem. (Rachel surmised that I had received a bag of light roasted Colombian instead of the Dark Roasted Cold Brew...mis-labeled???...and was diligently working on her end to ensure that this wouldn't happen again.) Not all companies would address the issue head-on, but Stone Street did. :-) I knew right away as the coffee began to develop its dark color from the get-go, and as I sip today, that ahhhhh-mazingly rich Colombian brew, well, there's just nothing like it! And this is even BETTER than my first bag (I mean what can beat a brand new, freshly opened bag of coffee, am I right)?! This is an OUTSTANDING coffee, a WONDERFUL company to deal with, I'm a customer for LIFE and YOU should be too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So anyway, just so you know my entire experience, below is MY ORIGINAL REVIEW OF JULY 18TH, (I entitled it "What Happened???"), and you can see Rachel's response to me in the Comments section: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I hate giving bad reviews but I don't even know what to say here. I LOVED my first bag of Stone Street Cold Brew Reserve. Like this, my first bag was the Dark Roast Coarse Grind, however that bag had an expiration date of 6/20/17. It had the orange lettering which I understand has no bearing on the coffee inside. So as soon as that one was nearing the end, I hurried to purchase another bag. My second bag was all dark brown lettering; expiration 11/17/2017 but all else was the same. Opened it up...mmm...that new coffee aroma! I couldn't wait to brew that first cup from my brand new bag. As always, I used my trusty Primula Travel Bottle...no change there, and the next morning I awoke ready to enjoy my first cold brew cup of... ...dirty dishwater. That's just what it looked like, and it didn't taste much better. Giving things the benefit of the doubt (could it be 'user failure'???) I started all over and in the days that followed, the furthest I was able to get with this bag was a very weak iced-tea-colored bad-tasting coffee. I've made at least 5 batches with this bag and I can brew it for 3 days and get it a little darker but even then I can't bring myself to DRINK the stuff! I mean it's just NO GOOD. And this is from a person who ADORED that first bag and consistently got a great-tasting cup of coffee time-after-time the whole FIRST go-round throughout the course of the entire first bag of the same exact stuff using the exact same cold brew process. Something definitely happened here quality-control wise with at least one batch slipping through the cracks along the line. In reading the reviews I don't believe I am the only person this has happened to.

Highly Recommended, Great Coffee!
I just got into the cold coffee experience, and decided to brew it at home. Based on the reviews, I picked up some of these beans, and I must say that I am impressed! I'm not your typical coffee connoisseur, but I can tell you that this coffee is some of the best I've had. I will continue to buy this for my home cold brewing habits!

Seriously!! Fantastic!!
I'm a coffee fanatic, I own a stupid variety of brewing methods from around the world and have been exploring cold brewing for the last several months and there is a LOT of choices of venders these days, so seeing a 700+ and counting review rating of darn near 5 stars is intriguing enough to bother reading a handful of reviews. Typically I prefer to order whole beans as I prefer to grind my own while enjoying a broad spectrum of roasts, leaning towards dark roasts. I broke two of my rules with this order, normally I don't much care for Colombian beans and I rarely buy pre-ground and I'll be honest, this Stone Street popped up on that screen as you click 'add to cart' as a potential addon after I had spent nearly a hour scouring Amazon for appropriate coffees from new-to-me brands. WTH I thought, It's got a good rating, at worst it's only a lb and will go quick (I drink on average 64 oz of coffee a day). Surprise! This turned out not only to be my favorite of the 4 brands, but the best value as the other 3 were all 12 oz bags of beans. I liked it so much, that I promptly ordered a second bag, and then a third for a fellow coffee cold brewer enthusiast. The high rating this product has is definitely deserved and it's going to remain on my to-buy list from here on. I'm even tempted now to try other blends from Stone Street for hot brews, seriously if you're at all hesitant, give this a try.

Best coffee I've ever had!
I read a ton of reviews before purchasing this coffee, and I will say that it lives up to all of the hype. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but I have fully functioning taste buds. I also ordered the County Line Kitchen 2 quart cold brew and tea maker. Both arrived today. We all like out tea a certain strenght, and I used 5 table spoons, and that was perfect for my taste. The coffee was strong, but not bitter. Some of the grounds seep through the filter and sit at the bottom of my 2 quart jug, but it was not enough of a problem in my case to make it worth filtering again. I Highly recommend this coarse ground coffee.

Liked more then Starbucks
Coffee arrived when promised. Opened the bag and enjoyed the rich aromas. I ordered this because I like cold brew in the spring and summer. I used a 4-1 ratio and let it steep for about 48 hours. I diluted the concentrat with about 1/3 water. The coffee had a full rich flavor. I used to buy Starbucks Ethiopia blend but this had a smoother taste to it. And, it was less expensive. What could I say, I really like this company's coffee.

Tastes amazing, grind is perfect, super smooth.
I make a lot of cold brew so hand-grinding out a pound ever 3-4 days gets tiresome and at the price of super freshly roasted beans locally, it's also stupid expensive to buy for a brew method that is so very flexible (I've gotten pretty good cold brew out of super old beans before) that getting it pre-ground is just easier, more affordable, and still can taste wonderful. Stone Street is top notch IMO, it's rich, smooth, and very strong just as I like it. The grind is also VERY consistent so if you're using a metal mesh filter or a cheaper straining bag, you're not going to get many fines with this. I make a concentrate to really stretch how many cups I can get out of a batch, so I use the entire pound per about 5-6 quarts of water and let it brew for 36-48 hours. It's fabulous, I cut it about halfway with either water (if I want it plain) or half-and-half (I want a creamier drink) and I've got enough caffeine to get me through an entire day of school and work. I'd estimate that I get about 11-12 total cups out of my full batch, but I do use larger 18oz cups since I drink a lot so for those that drink smaller amounts you'll get a lot more servings if you go the cold brew concentrate route. UPDATE: I've burned through 2 bags of this now and I'm hooked for sure. Buying really fresh beans is my preference but it's really hard to do that in my city much less for anywhere near affordable in large quantities. This hits my affordable AND easy AND great tasting criteria.

Never been a big fan of Columbian coffee... However!
I figured Id give this Stone Street Cold Brew Coffee a try. They're a local coffee shop and we have an Amazon warehouse in town, so I figured the beans would be really fresh, and they were! Just recently got into cold brewing coffee. Bought ourselves a nice stainless steel mesh filter for wide mouth mason jars, and a box of half-gallon jars and started experimenting! Let me start off by saying, I FREAKING LOVE COFFEE! And I love trying any new beans I can get my hands on. Usually I don't really care for the Columbian beans. They're amongst my least favorite. However, these were really darn good! A rich and bold roasty flavor with dark chocolate notes. Dark chocolate happens to be another of my vices hehe, and Ive always liked a good bean that pairs well with it. Upon opening the bag, the smell of the beans permeated our household and both my wife and I kept saying "I can't wait to try that coffee!". Some tips I can give from my experiments thus far. For a half gallon jar of this coffee I used around 2 cups of the grinds in the filter. The first batch I cold brewed in the fridge for 24 hours and it came out really good. The second batch I tried a room temperature brew on the counter overnight. Seems like 12-14hrs of brewing that way made an equally tasty batch. The flavor profile was a bit different between the two. So maybe try for yourself and see which you like best. Not only was this brew tasty straight black, or with milk and/or sugar, I also really enjoyed making myself a homemade "Javachip Frappuccino" with it. I cut up some good dark chocolate into small chunks and blended it with the coffee and cold-frothed milk and it was fantastic! If you like dark roasts that have a bit of a dark chocolaty flavor, give this a try! I already bought a second bag lol, and now I really want to try some of Stone Street's other coffee.

Great coffee, poor controls by Amazon
This coffee is great. Smooth and delicious when cold brewed and makes an amazeballs hot cup of warmed after brewing. Other friends who are coffee fans have tried my brew and loved it too. Really seriously good stuff. The problem is Amazon keeps mislabeling the packages and sending me whole bean instead of coarse ground. It’s happened 4 times now. They’ve been great about refunding the packages so far, but it’s damned inconvenient to have to buy my coffee out every morning while they sort out their stuff. I’d say order it only if you already have or are willing to buy a grinder that can do coarse grinds.

Great coffee
I'm not a big coffee drinker only a few cups a week but I wanted to give cold brew a try. This stuff is great, smooth, not bitter at all I'll be purchasing the 5lb bag when I have to refill. Doesn't even need cream or sugar, leave it black, cold, no ice.
