We mounted this gate and it was a very quick and easy process. I have two young children, a husky, and three ferrets. This gate works well to keep everyone out of the kitchen! It is low enough an adult can step over it if need be, but the option to mount it and swing open is awesome. Much easier and quicker than moving and replacing a normal pressure mount gate. The holes in the gate are small enough the ferrets can not slip through and thankfully they have never shown an interest in climbing. I will be buying another!

Works Perfectly

Very happy with this gate. I need it to keep my chihuahua from getting into my bedroom while I'm at work, but I still want to allow my cat to enter the space. My cat is able to easily jump over it and my dog can't get past it. It's very easy to set into place, is securely fastened, and very easy to disengage without losing the setting. It literally takes me no more than 30 seconds to put it up and less than that to take it down.

Awesome gate. Wanted something better than the cheaper wooden pressure mounted gates but that we didn't necessarily have to hardware mount. This does the trick, my 3 year old can't just rip it down like she could with the wooden gates and her younger brother is now kept safely out of the litter box/laundry room area.

We bought this to be put up and taken down frequently throughout the day in our house. We have Golden Retrievers that we block from coming down the hallway at night and when the baby is napping, and it works beautifully. The timess they have wanted to come over they can't knock it down by pushing on the top or clamoring against it. The gate lock and release is very easy to use, even with a child in one arm. It just takes a little bit of pressure to put it in place, and the same to pop it back out. It also looks much nicer than any other "temporary" gate we have had.

If you're looking for a pet gate for small dogs that can easily be taken down this is the one for you!

I love how easy this pet gate is to put up and down. I have a few other ones that have to stay mounted in the doorway which is a pain in the butt when you don't need them up 24/7. I got this gate specifically to keep my own dogs penned downstairs in the living room and kitchen area while my husband and I are at work. I set it up at the top of the stairs that lead up to the bedrooms and it was so easy to set up and it felt very sturdy. It was a breeze to take down and move it out of the way. It was also pretty easy to open the door although my husband was having trouble with the childlock. No need to buy the more expensive pet gates, I love the price of this one and how easy it is to put up and take down!

Works well for small pets, too.

We have had an older model of this gate and have been very happy with it for many years. No more toddlers in the house. We use it as a pet gate. This new model (to us) works as well as the older model and we are happy with both. Since we are using them for restricting access to a small pet, we find it is not necessary to lock it into the doorway as we did for use as a child gate. Simply leaning it slightly against the door jams works fine as a small pet barrier. This also makes it quick and easy to remove and replace to allow adult access. Thanks North State Industries.

Easy to use, no tools necessary, unless you want to use the hinges.

I use this as easy alternative to keeping my cats out of rooms. I want to keep the door open for circulation. Easy to install, open and tighten. If I don’t tighten enough they will pull it down and scare us all when it crashes to the floor. Works well for my purpose. I can easily change which doorway to use.

Good gate

Great gate for the price. A little confusing on installation instructions (and I'm usually pretty good at installing or putting stuff together first then reading the directions) but this one stumped me a bit. But after I put this up, I first thought felt like it might not work but I grabbed it and shook it to make sure it was going to stay closed. It did so then I shook it harder, harder than any toddler could and yes it still stayed secure. I think this will work perfectly for keeping my new grandson from heading off down the hall near the basement steps. It's a little tricky to relock it with one hand once you open it but it's like anything else, the more you do it, the better you get at it. It's not tall enough to keep my dog from jumping over it but will serve the purpose i bought it for and that's the safety of my grandson.

mounted this to the outside of our bedroom door to keep our little Yorkies from roaming the house at night. easy to mount and the sliding action to tighten is easy and smooth. although, I ordered it in beige and got a white one. not a big enough problem to try to exchange, walls are beige but frame and door are white so it still looks good

Everything You Need in a Gate

100,000X better that those more expensive, steel bar gates with a swinging door. For one, not assembly required. It’s also super easy to put up and take down without any tedious width adjustments. Also should be noted that this is the ONLY safe type of puppy gate. We first tried buying a more expensive Regalo baby gate made of vertical, metal bars with a swinging door, but the space between the bars was big enough for our puppy to slip through, and he got his poor little head stuck. That gate was also a major pain. This one was way cheaper, effortless to set up, durable, lighter weight, and just way more functional.
