It's exactly what my low voltage tech asked me to order. He's trying to mate my vintage Audio Visual equipment with the new "state of the art" technology...

Great solution for older AX720 headphones
This converter allows me to make use of the Tritton AX720 headphones that I had lying around from my old Xbox 360. It lets me use a 3.5mm jack from my tablet or phone, which transfers to a digital signal (optical cable) sending the data to the AX720 amplifier. I spent $125 on the headphones and now they are useful again. Before they were collecting dust.

ADC as in Analog to Digital Converter (This is Not a DAC)
Analog to Digital Audio comes with small high quality power cord: Small, clean, solid metal box gives the impression of high quality. Gold contacts on the input R/L stage and Coaxial out. Good solid TOSlink connector. Specs list this unit as a two channel LCPM that supports output sampling to 48 KHz. I'm testing this unit it as the "encoder" for a long range audio transport for a turntable behind a phono stage and TOSlink cable to an optical receiver with perfect results. Make sure you need an ADC to "encode" and send digital signal from a two channel audio source to a reciver before buying. If that's what you need, buy it! If what you need is the DAC version to "decode" TOSlink / SPIDF from a CD player or TV (or ADC) there are identical looking units available.

I had not even known that an RCA to digital converter was possible. It works perfectly
I had already purchased a digital to analog converter to down-convert my television digital audio output to an RCA input for a graphic equalizer. (I am a big equalizer fan.) But my new sound bar did not have an RCA input, only digital. This converter allowed me to up-convert the equalizer output back to digital input into my sound bar - something that I did not even know was possible. All things considered, the hookup was easy, and the results were excellent.

Just what I needed
I own a Marrantz professional CD player and have bunch of CDs and I didn't want to loose access to it. When I bought a brand new Marrantz Receiver, it no longer had RCA inputs. I ordered this little device and it resolved my issue perfectly. For other customers that are having the same issue it's important to mentioned that by default the Receiver was configured to receive the CD input in the HDMI connector so I had to go into the settings and change the input to Digital. Once I did that, sound worked as expected. I am extremely pleased.

Easy return process
1st unit was DOA. Replacement worked great right out of the box. Provides my older Samsung TV RCA audio output a way to play through my new Yamaha AMP that has limited older RCA inputs.

It works !!!!
I own a 18 speaker soundbar I bought years ago & I was using the analog connection for a while. Then i found a small bluetooth device Heartland America. By chance I happened to run across this device which excepts rca input to digital/toslink output. Perfect connections for soundbar. It made a big difference in the sound output. Glad I was patient when I saw this on Amazon. Great work on this device. Will recommend

Exactly What I Needed
Needed a unit to route my older stereo set up into a sound bar. Yes, I know I will be losing something by not using actual speakers. But at this stage, I'm looking to avoid cluttering my place up with wires. And I don't like Bluetooth for listening to music. Converts analog bare speaker wire output to Optical Digital (with the help of adapters for wire to RCA plugs). Works like a champ. No loss of sound or quality.

Great way to run analog signal over a long distance
Needed to get audio out of my computer and to a receiver on the other side of my garage. I hooked a bunch of RCA cables together and ended up with lots of interference. I then discovered this beauty and came out of the back of my computer via 3.5mm to RCA and then went toslink 100 ft to my receiver and its sound perfect!
