Are you here because it won't work when it's off the charger?

The instructions weren't super clear but I figured it out. The tab that needs to be removed before it is able to charge and be used without being plugged in. Update June 2017: just bought my second fan, now I have one to keep at work and one to keep in my purse. Total lifesaver.

Great fan for hot days and park days!!!

We bought this fan for Disney. We were going in September and it’s still pretty hot around that time. The speeds are amazing and powerful. It’s so great we even used it during the summer while on walks and around the house. Highly recommended. We had a battery charger with us and used at all day in the Disney parks and were so grateful for it in that heat! One of the best things we bought for our trip along with our Tal water bottles!

Great handheld fans! Stay Cool!

I got two of these fans! I love them! They have 3 speeds and are either powered by usb or the rechargeable battery provided. They have a convenient on/off switch in the front that my thumb can press easily while holding the fan. They come in great colors too! They really help cool me off!

Great for travel or family trips to the zoo

This is easy to recharge (like a phone), and the battery life is long. We take this on trips and on outings, such as the zoo. My husband can’t live without it, and it’s been a life saver on hot days outdoors with our toddler. It’s easy for our 2 year old to turn on and off, and has 3 different speed settings. It’s folds up nicely, so you can hold it with the wand, set it on a surface, or fold up for storage. Love it and plan to buy a second one before summer.

Nice Fan

This fan is better than what I thought it would be so far. I've only had it about a week now, but so far, so goo. I'm surprised at how powerful the fan is. There's three speed settings, which is really nice. My previous fan that died after several years was an electric motor personal fan that was really good as well, but only one speed setting. As for this fan, the highest setting is very powerful for the size, I wasn't expecting this. The size footprint when the battery housing is folded up is very small and compact. As for durability, time will tell. It's made of plastic, as is the fan blade itself, so I'm doubtful that it would be as durable as my last fan mentioned previously. Battery life is very good. I haven't actually timed it, but in the week I've had it, I've only charged it one time and I've used it quite a bit. Even when I did charge it, it hadn't fully drained but was slowing down a bit. The other thing I like about this fan is that, unlike my previous fan that was electric, I will be able to easily transport and use this fan in situations where an outlet may not be available for use. And if I have my laptop with me, I can use the USB connector to run it from one of the USB ports. I like this fan a lot. If it holds up like it has to date, this is a good value and I would recommend it to others looking for a personal fan of their own.

This little fan is truly amazing!

This little fan is truly amazing! I live in Florida where the weather is hot & humid almost all year long, and this fan is a lifesaver. I was stunned the first time I used it because the cold air this thing puts out is fantastic. I think it might be the blade design which has three large and three small blades, all of which have a sort of curve to them and are angled just right to create a wonderfully cooling blast of air. After I bought one, I liked it so much that I bought two more. I carry one in my purse, keep one at the office and one on my nightstand so I always have one handy. The fan charges quickly and holds a charge for many hours. I use them multiple times every day and now I don't know what I would do without them. I did notice one little glitch with the fan - folding or unfolding it when the fan is in use can cause the fan to shut down and stop working. I still give the fan five stars because VersionTech’s customer service is awesome! When I contacted them, they immediately sent a new fan as it was covered under their warranty. I was so happy to receive the new one and enjoyed using it until the same little glitch occurred again. I hesitated about contacting customer service again as I didn't want to be a pest, but ultimately I did and once again they sent me a new fan. Now that I am aware of the glitch I make sure to never fold or unfold the unit while in operation and have never had a problem since. I highly recommend buying this fan. It's amazing and once you have one you will never want to be without it. I've been shopping on Amazon for about a decade and can honestly say that this is the best product I've ever purchased on Amazon. Great product + great customer service = a very happy customer.

One of my most helpful purchases ever!

Ok! I love this fan. It's small but powerful. Three speeds for your different needs. It's easy to carry and has a folding handle that lets you place it on almost any surface for hands free use. It recharges via a USB port so you can plug it into your computer at work. Uses the same kind of charger as my Kindle so I have extra ones around! If you have hot flashes and want a personal fan, get this one!! Update: I have purchased this fan again as a gift to my sister. She loves it!!! Mine is still working well and is a great relief to me during my hot flashes. I bring it with me wherever I go and people remark on how wonderful it works. I have dropped it so many times I've lost count and it's sturdy! Still a great deal and folds small enough to put in a medium sized purse.

Powerful, rechargeable, compact. What's not to love? Edit: Just coming back to talk about how much I love this fan. I keep it in my purse and by my side always. It makes my hot flashes so much more bearable, with little effort. No more taking clothes off and putting them back on and taking them off and on and on. No more kicking up the air and increasing my already expensive electric bill. This fan was worth every penny I spent. Oh, and the charge lasts a long time, too. At first I was charging it every day, but I haven't thought to charge it in at least 4 days and it's been helping me through 3-5 hot flashes a day, minimum. Still going strong. Edited to add more about that charge. So I haven't used my fan in months. I haven't been having hot flashes and the weather has been mild and so it's just been sitting. Well I needed it this morning, and was sure it would be dead because I haven't charged it all that time, but it wasn't dead!

Powerful Fan/Great Battery Life

I used this fan in Canaan Backcountry W.Va this past weekend in my North Face Mountain 25 tent, in tandem with my Mr.Heater Portable Buddy heater. I put the heater in the vestibule and the fan in the back of the tent and the circulation that the fan created made my tent super hot. It also helped to dry out my wet clothing. It was 6 deg. outside, and inside the tent felt like 80 deg. All while having my tents drafts open. The fan has three settings(low,med,hi),which I only used the low setting. I went to sleep and woke up 4hrs later and the fan was still running......amazing! I would definitely recommend this fan!

GREAT FAN

SO have had two of these & LOVE them. I recently went away for the holiday's & while I was in the airport, waiting to board my flight I noticed a handicapped young boy with his Mother. He was sweating really bad & no one offered to help this woman. I always carry 2 hand held fans so my 5 pound Chihuahua doesn't over heat (& myself lol) I asked her if she would like to use one of the fans. She couldn’t believe I even did this & was so thankful. Well our flight was delayed & the boy didn’t look well so she gave it back when she took him to the bathroom. When she came back I went back over to her & told her to keep the fan. She started to cry & said I was the only person who even offered some sort of help. She also asked where I got it because it worked so good. I told her here at Amazon. So since I gave the other one away, I came right back on here to order another one so I can always have two. It is such a great little fan & last's awhile.
