Heavier gauge wire, soiid + pin
I used this to fix a coleman electric cooler. The original cigarette lighter plug failed, and of course, it was an "emergency", so i used an inexpensive Radio Shack plug. It lasted a year, but the + pin failed. I replaced it with this, which has heavier gauge wires and a solid "+" pin. i tested it for 24 hours, and the solid pin stayed cool (higher conductivity) than the stamped pin on the Radio Shack unit.

Works on my 400W inverter
I used this to replace the 12V male connector that came with my 400W inverter that I crushed with the truck door. Works great, came with 15A and 20A fuses.

3rd Time is the Charm!
This cord has held up as a connector to a 12v AC converter we use in our car on trips to charge my laptop. I ordered the first cable from a radio supply store. It shorted, melted and blew a fuse on first use. Second one was from Bose. It fell apart with the essential inner core pieces lost to the car vacuum I assume. The third is this unit which seems to be of high quality and has withstood a long trip already.

Don't waste money/time on others
After purchasing a less expensive same type of product on Amazon and having it fail in minutes, I bought this product. Although a few dollars more, I highly recommend spending the extra money. I use it now primarily to illuminate LED bulbs which I install into housings prior to permanently installing into automotive vehicles. I know this is not "heavy lifting", but my original purchase couldn't even deal with that. Judging by the quality of the material, and just the feel of this product in the hand, I would have no worries about using it for powering heavier 12v powered equipment. Just as a comparison, the first one purchased came with one 2A fuse installed and 2 1/2" leads. More than enough for my application, but it failed as I said in minutes. This came with a 15A (widely available) fuse installed, an additional spare 20A fuse, and 38" 1.5mm (16AWG) leads. A robust tool IMO.

Best lighter plug I ever saw.
Very well made. It almost surely can handle more current than your vehicle's lighter socket can supply, and may well last longer than the vehicle that socket is in. I spent over a decade working with automotive electronics. I have probably seen at least a thousand different lighter plug designs, so that headline really means something.

Works perfect. I cut the ends off me used Bullet connectors. I ordered two of these and both came with an extra fuse. Makes I easy to add power. I used mine for a CB radio in each car.

Excellent product and well made.
Well made. I bought this to replace the power cord on the Inverter that came with my Desk for the passenger seat in my car. The old one was not nearly as well made as this one. Excellent fit and it does not wiggle loose in my VW cigarette lighter socket. Highly recommend!

This thing takes electricity from my car's cigarette lighter port and delivers it to other stuff.
The electricity always arrives hot and on time. Caution: If you're using this to power a personal time travel device, be certain to read the entire instruction booklet carefully and make sure your undergarments meet the recommended minimum resistance rating.

Good replacement for frayed car inverter cable
I have a beefy car inverter with threaded posts. The old cable got frayed from being tossed around the pickup truck. This cable has circular lugs that fit on the brass posts just fine. Twist down the knobs and the connection is secure. Easy fix that saved the inverter from scrap.

Great for Replacing a Broken Plug
I ordered this item to replace a broken plug on my old 12v compressor/inflator..... which I have done. With a bit of wire splicing and soldering, it turned out to be exactly what I needed. The stranded copper wire was exactly the same size as the wire on my old compressor, contributing to an easy repair. I have tested the compressor with the new plug, and it works like new.
