Works perfectly to keep track of the temperature in our RV so we do not worry about our pets when we are gone!

I’m away from my home in the far north for several months during the winter. My furnace thermostat is set to 60 degrees. My daily check-in on the Temp Stick showed the house temperature between 59.4 and 59.6 consistently. Last week it registered 57 degrees, so I monitored it hourly. The temperature continued to fall. A friend checked my furnace and found it was OFF. Something had caused it to fail, even though I have it serviced annually and had installed a fresh filter only 2 months ago. The power switch was turned off, then on, and the furnace has worked normally ever since. The excellent Temp Stick had enabled me to catch a dangerous situation early and correct it before any damage could be done. My house would have frozen solid and I would not have known without the wonderful Temp Stick.

THIS THING IS AMAZING!!! I use the temp stick in a garage where I house two rabbits in large carpeted area runs. I have AC in there and also heaters in the winter and this stick tells me 24-7 how hot or cold it is. I can be away from home and it will alert me if the temp is too hot and the AC breaks. Or it'll tell me the heaters are on too high and I need to shut them off. It works perfectly, sends accurate alerts to your phone via text, banners or email and once a temp alert you set is triggered you can set it to check the temp every five, ten, or fifteen minutes until it knows the temp is corrected. It is a life saver for my rabbits and gives me piece of mind that they won't be too cold or that they won't over heat. Amazing little product! Its no bigger than a salt shaker and can be mounted with velcro or you can just stand it up somewhere. I have had the same batteries in it for months!

I purchased a tempstick 7 months ago now to use to monitor the interior temperature of my motorhome. A big problem for motorhome owners and RV owners who travel with animals (2 cats in my case) is the possibility that the RV will lose power over the course of a day while the owners are off doing a day trip or other activity in very hot or cold climates. We are often in areas were we have to air condition to keep the coach reasonable while we take a day trip, and it has always been a concern that the power may fail and the temperature soar. So, this seemed like the answer. We have a MIFI Verizon cellular jetpack in the coach and we connect the tempstick to the MIFI and monitor the coach remotely through an iPhone app and website. Also, the way that this unit works is that it communicates temperature and humidity data with a server at IdealScience's location where the data is logged. You can then program into the IdealScience web page that you want to set a temperature limit of lets say 85 degrees and you want messages or emails to be sent to as many email accounts as you want when the temperature exceeds 85 degrees. This works great. If you get no messages, you know things are good. If you want to know what it is recording, you can log into your account and view the temperature and humidity data as far back as you want. Also, you can specify how frequently you want the temp stick to report data. It is battery operated so the more frequently you report, the faster you use your battery, but a set of batteries reporting hourly will work for many weeks. I have had only one problem and it stumped me and the owner of the company for hours was that we were parked in Tucson and the tempstick would keep "falling off" my MIFI (not stay connected). We tried everything but it just would not stay connected. I noticed that the RV park we were in had what appeared to be a short cell tower right in the middle of the park and maybe 100' from my coach. So I took the tempstick operating on battery into the car and out into a rural area with the MIFI and it connected immediately and stayed connected. What that told me is that there was a very strong rf field near that cell tower that was over-riding the transmitter of the tempstick or the receiver of the MIFI and knocking out the communication between the path. It was a real mystery to be solved. Since that, it has worked perfectly. I am now going to buy two more tempsticks which can be added to my account at IdealScientific.... one for the house that we leave when we travel (in winter, concerns about proper heat in the house) and a second house we have for storage. I am very impressed with the unit, and more impressed with the customer service. The owner spent hours with me on the phone trying to figure out what was going on.

I needed a temperature monitor for my walk in refrigerator. After calling several refrigerator service guys, the lowest bid I received was $1175 and then a $40 per month monitoring service. I ask, "Isn't there something out there that can text me or email me automatically, I don't need a manned service". Nope, almost all have a monitor contract service fee. I talked with several people from different companies and they all told me the same thing, and some were rather rude, "if you want it to work right, you have to have a service" I knew this was a line of crap I was getting. After stumbling upon this little miracle of a gem, I was thinking it was to good to be true. Wait a minute, a small unit, that takes regular AA batteries, logs all the temps and humidity to an indefinite online log that you can download to an excel spreadsheet if needed. It can text or email you (or as many people as you want) if the temperature you set goes out of any range you specify. You can even calibrate it to read correctly should you test it and it's off by a degree or two. The phone application, and the computer web page are outstandingly simple to use. Setup was super easy and fast. All of this for a 10th of the price of all the other garbage out there and no service contract. I see myself buying about 5 more of these in the near future. This is an AWESOME product.

Fantastic!! Works out of the box as soon as the battery is inserted. The smoothest installation ever! Temperature/humidity reading intervals can be customized. I set mine for every 15 minutes. My temp stick is in the greenhouse that's about 200 feet away from the house, and it connects to our wireless router just fine. I tried another brand for the same purposes, but it was a headache to make it work, so I decided to try this one based on the reviews. Money well spent! I'm a happy camper.

I travel with my dogs to shows all summer and love the reliability and flexibility of this unit. I use it with a pay as you go WiFi hotspot (about $25 a month). The TempStick uses so little data that I use less than 1/5 of my 2GB plan every month even on my busiest months. The user interface is simple to use and flexible to adjust the temperature thresholds and frequency of check ins. I also appreciate the historical information it keeps so I can see trends and how quickly the temperature in my car or crating area is changing. I would never trust this as my sole alerting system, using common sense and a variety of shade cloths, fans, vents, etc to keep my dogs comfortable, but it is excellent peace of mind for a quick stop for gas or restroom, or monitoring our crating area in a building or tent.

This works perfectly. I have wanted a way to monitor my home temperature while I am out of town. While there are thermostats that allow that basic info, I do not have the necessary 5 wires to my thermostat required by some wi-fi thermostats. And I do not want a new variable introduced that could shut my furnace down. As a former statistician, I really enjoy the graphs and the trends this can show. In my area many of us have furnaces and hot water tanks in the garage. Temps can drop below zero in the winter. Placing this by the hot water tank shows that as the outdoor temperature drops, the increased furnace operation keeps the area at a steady 44 degrees.

My husband and I are full timers in a 5th wheel camper. We bought the Temp Stick so we could keep track of the tempature inside the camper while we are away. We leave our dog in the camper when we're out and since we will be in AZ till June of 2018 we want to make sure if a fuse blows or electric goes out that we know right away. I had some trouble at first with it working but I called the company and spoke to Vincent and after some tests with it he sent out a new one and it works perfectly! Vincent was a huge help and didn't mind all my questions and multiple phone calls which was greatly appreciated. I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone that is living full time in an RV and has pets. It really gives us peace of mind!

Amazing, amazing product! I cannot say this enough :-) It's app interface is easy to use and very detailed. The best part about this product compared to everything else on the market is that it doesn't require a subscription to get your alerts. I have recommended this product to so many other people, especially pet owners to monitor their pet's safety at home.
