sturdy, well designed tool.
Very handy tool. Sturdy and strong well-constructed. Be sure and check every cherry, at least one of every six cherries still contained a pit after processing in the pitter. I do not feel this is a problem, it would not be possible to extract every pit without crushing the cherries. The cherries were left whole and attractive 4 canning in jars.

It works
When cherries are in season and cheap you can really pit a large quantity for vacuum freezing. It does not work perfectly every time but for the vast majority of the cherries we pitted, vacuum packed and froze it worked excellently. We ran 30 pounds of cherries through it in two evenings. It cleaned up easily in the dishwasher and is designed for compact storage.

Works perfectly!
I used this cherry pitter tool often this summer. I could add cherries to my fruit salads easily. The juice is all contained in the tool. I removed the pits after every third use to make space for the next pits. Pitted cherries are easier on the teeth and more enjoyable.

Pleasantly surprised!
I cleaned 2 lbs of cherries in no time! The pits came out remarkably clean! No wasted cherry what so ever which was a great since they arent in season yet and were ridiculously expensive. Cherries themselves are still whole and not mashed or crushed. Its a breeze to clean. Will buy another for my Mom.

YES!! It works on Olives!
I did a search for olive pitter and this came up. Thought I'd give a try anyway. I laughed out loud at how easy I pitted six olives. Even leaves a neat little "X" cut on one side of the olive. Snack time just got kicked up a notch! Great product, easy clean up.

Pitting now a breeze!
After years of using a chopstick and a little patience to pit cherries I finally broke down and bought this lovely little tool. What used to take me and hour to pit a 2lb bag of cherries now only takes about 20 minutes and a lot less mess/stress. There were a few pits that made it through the process but will gladly take that as a trade off to manual pitting.

Simple, safe and easy method to remove cherry pits
dang, this cherry pit remover is crazy dope. I used to be an idiot and remove pits one at a time with a knife. Talk about wasting time and risking serious injury. Now I'm adding cherries at a rapid pace to everything I consume. Just made some vanilla ice cream with cherries the other night. PIT FREE! Now I playing Warrant's Cherry Pie 24-7 in the crib just because I like this device so much. Sing it with me!

Totally worth buying
This thing absolutely works. Very easy to use and easy to count to see if you end up with 6 pits. The few times I didn’t have six, it was hanging there and easy to pull off the rest of the way. I was able to do 4 gallon sized bags of cherries from my tree in far less time than with a single cherry pitter. I froze them and if you have ever bought frozen cherries, you know that I easily saved a lot of money.

Works great and looks cute
OMG! So amazing. It makes cherry pitting a breeze. Takes like 10 seconds and cleans well with a warms water rinse.

It Simply Works - Wonderfully
Our local grocery store has Bing cherries on sale and we got this pitter after pitting 10 lbs by hand using a stiff straw to push the pits through the bottom of the cherry, one cherry at a time. First of all, this little device does the job. Whether you pit 1 or 6 cherries at a time, it simply works. In fact, the most time consuming part of pitting the cherries is now taking the stems off! Simply remove the stem, place the cherries into the recessed seats of the tray and close the lid. The pits fall into the catch basin on the bottom and the pitted cherries can be removed either individually or all at once by removing the positioning tray and dumping the cherries in a bowl. Repeat... A few things of note, 1) The pit catch tray is relatively shallow and you will need to dump it every 30-36 cherries to make sure the expended pits do not interfere with the next pitting operation. 2) The riper the cherry, the more likely the pit will not completely separate from the cherry and you may need to scrape it off the bottom side of the positioning tray when removing the pitted cherries. The pit does come completely out of the cherry, but it held on by the ripe meat around it. 3) During operation (about 10-15 lbs into our 30 lb pitting session) the storage closure hook had worked itself into the "Lock" position and when I pressed down to pit the cherries, the hook popped out of the handle. I was able to reattach the lock mechanism by simply pressing it back into the slide, but something to watch out for when using. Overall, I was very happy with the fit and function of the device.
