Great product. Maintains a constant temperature the entire length of cable. I would guess 60 degrees or so. More than enough to melt. The installation kit sent with the cable was self explanatory and effective. My NE facing valley and gutter, which sees no sun for months, is now free and clear of ice and snow. Maybe the unhappy consumers forgot to power the cable or were expecting instant results. It is possible that they don't understand how the product is supposed to work.

I used it to keep a ditch open while the ice and snow were melting around my shop so as to not flood it. It worked as advertised.

This is the first time using this type of product and it seems to be working well. We got a lot of snow so far this year and you can see where it is melting it off the roof. It isn't real hot so it takes a while to melt through thick snow in which it keeps the ice build up to a minimum. But all in all it's doing it's job. I will buy a longer cable next time. It doesn't reach as far as you think it will due to the wavy pattern that it must be laid.

Came very quickly. Included all the hardware for an easy but proper install. Has kept my gutter free from ice build up and flowing well so far.

These worked really well. They will work really well for what they are designed to do. I needed something much more along the lines of the heating mats. I will eventually be buying those when I can afford it.

I live in Buffalo NY, and the snow has done some damage with ice damming on my gutters, it's been a month since I've installed them and I will absolutely recommend this product, it really works if I would have installed this product sooner I would have protected my house from ice damming and the interior damage that has happened from ice build up, since I've installed these heater wires I do not have any build up of ice what so ever, so if you are looking for a remedy to prevent ice build up in your gutters this is the answer, I am not being paid for this review, I am just hoping to help someone in the same situation.

Mother nature dumped a lot of snow around the Boise area this winter and it created lots of issues. A ice damn was starting to develop on my roof that caused concerns. Once I installed this product, the ice damn was no longer an issue. Great product. Highly recommended.

I installed the heating cable on top of gutter leaf screening on a gutter facing west. The gutter is 35 ' long. I was able to make a loop and over the front door area I did a zigzag pattern. We have had 14 straight days of below freezing temperatures. We have had two snow conditions where normally the gutter screen would be frozen over. I turned on the heating cable and within 90 minutes the ice was melted. The shingle clips are easy to use and the spreaders keep the cable nicely centered over the gutter. I purchased a 120' heating cable for the gutters at the back of the house. Now once the weather warms enough for me to work outside (the spring) I will set that up.

Exactly what we were looking for and happened to need. Had half a roof re-shingled and most of the clips were lost to re-turn the heating cables with. Soooo I searched on Amazon and voila...here they are and they were just what we needed to finish our replacement of heat cable for roof. Would recommend.

I like the cables as they were easy to install using your instructions. They are now in place and have not shifted as a result of the instructions provided. The place they were used at was my church and the are doing the job very well keeping a down spout and scupper free of ice. They are priced well too. I would recommend these cables to anyone needing to keep ice off their roof or out of gutters and downspouts.
