I had been fighting the Drano every 6-8 weeks to get the shower to drain. The drain has a metal cover with tiny squares to let the water through, but I didn't want to mess with trying to remove it. Nothing would fit down the holes but when I saw this I thought it might do the trick and sure enough, I was able to get it through. The tricky part was extracting the gobs of hair back through the hole with the snake. I managed to get a bunch of hair out and haven't had any problems since. No more Drano! They worked on my sinks too, but there was minimal hair gook on those, Buy these if you need a quick easy fix for clogged drains.

After reading a bunch of the reviews and looking through ALL OF THE PHOTOS. I knew I had to buy this to try it for myself! My tub had been clogged for over a month and I had tried everything DIY I could think of to unclog it. From multiple braided up wires, to a screw driver; a plunger, drano and this poisonous drain opener powder; called 10 minute drain opener. None of those things helped; not even a little bit :( . As you can see from my photos, the opening in my bathtub plug is extremely tiny with a thick rubber flap all the way around it, so all of my DIY attempts were futile and extremely frustrating...So was trying to get that plug to unscrew from my tub drain! Now I can LOL but back then, I was seconds away from hammering that plug into oblivion. So Anyways, I finally ordered this product. I stuck it down one of the holes in between that tiny little drain opening and gently twisted over and over until I couldn't anymore. I slowly pulled out the drain snake and I grabbed onto what I saw coming up. AND DAMN, I'VE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED TO SEE HAIR IN MY LIFE, AS DISGUSTING AS IT LOOKED; IT WAS SO CATHARTIC ! I repeated the process a few more times just to be on safe side but it got the entire clog the first time around. AWESOME PRODUCT, I'M GOING TO KEEP TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW ! AS LONG AS YOU KEEP MAKING THIS PRODUCT, I WILL BE A LIFETIME CUSTOMER !!! Thank you so much !!!

I’m in college and my boyfriend is in a college apartment. His shower has never really drained properly, despite me trying to fix it by pouring an entire bottle of drano down there and lots of boiling water. I figured I would give this a try, and WOW the results were disgusting. Immediately my boyfriend saw what I was doing and his jaw dropped, it probably hasn’t been properly cleaned in at least a year as there was so much hair, conditioner, and goop I was amazed any water went down at all. Now his shower drains properly and he cannot stop thanking me. This was a GREAT Adela for the value and I will be purchasing again when I run out. The only thing that was difficult was getting it down the drain but it took me 5 minutes tops.

Had to use 2 on one drain because it was so clogged. I used to first one to make an opening but it had already used a few teeth on stuck it happened to pick up so it wasn't going to grab much putting it through again. Second one followed the path of the first, I twisted it a little til I felt a lot of resistance and pulled. Then came a bittersweet moment. It was sweet because it worked and I thought such a low price item was a waste of money and I was wrong. It was bitter because what came out was the most vile thing I've ever come across. Since theres 5 in a pack you can just throw it away and use a new one each time. I gave it a 3 on ease of clean because it makes the tub smell nasty after and have a bag ready for when the pile of vile springs fourth.

These aren't the best, but for the price and my low-level of clog, I will not complain. They didn't 'grab' any hair clusters, but did pull up small (largest was 0.5 cm) clumps of gunk. A few of the hooks also broke off, but it was still functional. Using this snake in addition to boiling water, my slow-draining sink is now back to draining at a normal speed. I'd recommend for the price.

Our shower/bathroom sink were both draining quite slowly. We purchased Draino and that worked for a day or two. Next we tried boiling water w/baking soda and that worked for a couple of weeks. The sink started to drain slowly again and I really didn’t want to pay for a plumber so my girlfriend and I figured we would give this a shot and it worked quickly! The first try pulled out enough hair to cover a newborns head. After that we continued to pull more and more hair and now the shower drains perfectly! We’re both glad that it came with multiple plumbing snakes! Would highly recommend.

Was so prepared to love this after reading the reviews and seeing pics of globs of hair and gunk coming out of the drain. The "Cleaning Tool" is not long enough for my drain to catch anything. What a disappointment. *** To my surprise I received an email from Vastar addressing my concerns and offering to give me a refund. Not many companies would do that. If they come up with a longer "Drain Snake" I will definitely buy from them again. Great customer service!

Ok, so I read the reviews and figured it MIGHT work... see, I have this drain that always, always, always clogs! Been doing it off and on for years! I was ready to tear the pipes out! So, these little doohickey arrive, and, seriously, not impressed. Tossed them onto a table where they sat for a week. So, finally I get a free moment, decide to try them. Couple of swipes, jiggling it up and down in the drain, and yeah, some icky gunk comes up. Wiggled it down a couple more times, more gunk. One more time, for luck, right? Guess what comes up? A PINK TOOTHBRUSH! Yeah, this little doodad grabbed a whole toothbrush and dragged it out of my drain! Really! This thing is AWESOME!

These Snakes did the trick. I previously poured drain cleaner, used a plunger and a plastic snake to unclog my bathroom sink without success. The stopper doesn’t come out and the space around it is very tight. While I don’t use my sink to wash my hair, when I comb and brush my hair, some hair manages to go down the drain. I have 4c kinky curly hair. I also pour left over hair color down the drain. I used the snake and twisted it around as some suggested. I pulled it out and attached was a big, wet glob of hair soak in hair color. I did this three times and the water flowed and no more standing water and slow drain. It left a mess but I was happy with the results.

My bathtub was not draining properly so I bought this 5 pack so I wouldn't have to use Drano (or some other cleaner). It's super easy to use, just push down the drain and pull back up. The gunk the snake pulled back up looked super nasty and unless you want to sit there and clean it all back off, they are really one use items. (I ended up using 2 for the one drain.) My bathtub now drains perfectly and I have leftover snakes in case it happens again!
