I recently purchased a Yi 4k and needed some water ...
I recently purchased a Yi 4k and needed some water protection. I purchased this item for a trip I was going on and it worked as expected. It keeps the camera sealed so that no water gets in. I had a gopro previously with a similar case, so it works just about the same.

Kept my camera dry while snorkeling in Hawaii
Cheaper than the original and kept my camera dry. I think there is probably more room for the camera to move around than the original. But I can't complain. I took this for some Hawaii underwater videos and it worked. I didn't have the original so I had nothing to compare it to but it worked well enough for me.

It’s fits and works.
Fits my yi 4k plus perfectly. Before I would trust it on my camera I closed the empty case and weighted it to the bottom of my full kitchen sink for 3 hours. After those 3 hours I dried off the outside and was satisfied seeing no leakage. I trust my $300 camera in this case.

The first impression was good. For a much less price you can get ...

Waterproof and less expensive alternative
It's waterproof just like the Xiaomi model, but it's less expensive. I tested it by submerging in water with a cotton ball inside overnight before use. There wasn't any moisture, and I have since used it in the rain with my Yi Lite inside without any issues. The case button operates the camera inside easier than the Xiaomi model. The internal shape and pads appears to hold my Yi Lite better, because the vibration is reduced.

It does what it supposed to. But that's the point.
Works well. Attaches easily to my hat (with action camera mount). Haven't had any issues with water leakage. Works well to protect the camera as well. I use my Yi 4k for shooting outdoors and without this case my camera would've been destroyed several times over. I will admit the button is a little iffy as It may take a few presses to turn on or switch modes but that's not a deal breaker for me since it deals the camera and shields it from drops, submersion etc. One note though is while loading it watch your fingers as I have gotten some bad footage due to fingerprints on the lens. I carry this thing everyday, everywhere and almost never use my camera without it.

Kept my new camera dry!
I bought this case to make my Yi 4K action camera waterproof on my vacation. Before I gave this case the responsibility of keeping my nice, new camera dry, I placed some toilet paper inside and submerged the case in water for a couple minutes - the toilet paper came out completely dry. The camera fit into the case very snug and stayed completely dry the entire time I was using it. I should warn though that the case and camera do not float, so you may need to buy a wrist strap that floats to ensure you camera and case don't sink to the bottom of the water where you might lose it. The sound in the case is definitely a little muffled, but that is to be expected when the entire case is air proof tight. You could still hear voices and sounds, but they obviously weren't as clear compared to when the camera isn't in the case. For the money and what it does, this is the perfect waterproof case for your Yi action camera.

Excellent protection.
I have NOT been compensated for this review. I am writing this quite few months after I have purchased this, but I didn't want to write generic review stating :" looks great, but I have no idea if it works, since I have not tried it". So, finally, after going to the water park, I can write a review. I do have to admit, I was bit apprehensive about using it. After all, even the smallest leak and camera would be ruined. Case closes shut with a reassuring click. After using it for two days, multiple times a day, in chlorinated, warm water (like I have mentioned, I have tried it at the indoor water park), it performed wonderfully. No leaks. My suggestion (I have done it every day when I got back to the hotel), is to dry the case, and after removing the camera, rinse it under warm water in the sink, and let it air dry. Call me paranoid, lol, but I think that this will remove excess chlorine that might damage the black seal that keeps case secure. In my opinion, the same should be done when using with salt water - ocean etc. I am not sure about the maximum depth it will function under, I have tested it only to about 3 feet - 1 meter of submersion. Enjoy!

Solid case! Has held up through multiple wipeouts so far
I've taken this case surfing almost a dozen times now. It's held up great! Like some other reviewers mentioned, the case is just a little too roomy so the camera rattles a little bit when shaken. However, I had some adhesive foam and stuck two little pieces on the inside edges of the case. No more rattle! Feels very sturdy and secure inside. Make sure to rinse the case after exposing it to salt water. I do that, but some rust is still starting to build up on the metal hinge in a place I can't access it. My older GoPro cases rust too and have held up for years still, so I'm not too worried about the rust on the Kupton case. I've had issues with fog inside the case while I'm in the water, but this isn't something unique to this case--it happens to all of them. So, I also stick in a few little cotton strips inside the case to absorb any extra humidity. Works decently, but there's anti-fog inserts that you can buy that may work better. EDIT: For those of you who want to use a floaty with this case that doesn't obstruct the screen, I've found that the Bodhi Floaty Case, Orange that I used for my old GoPro Hero actually fits on this case too! It's not a perfect fit, but it fits well enough to serve its purpose. This camera has detached from my surf mount at least twice when I forgot to tether it to the mount and the Bodhi floaty saved it from being lost in the sand! I highly recommend it.

Works at depth as advertised
I was debating between the original Yi branded case and this one, but the bullet and went with the cheaper option. Fits the camera just right. GoPro accessories fit just fine (mounts as well as filters, lens cover dimensions seem to be identical as GoPro 3/4). Most importantly it performs as advertised where it really matters - underwater protection. I bought this case a few months ago, and took it to two dive trips so far, about 12 dives so far, so about 9 hours underwater. Half of those were shallower (up to 40 ft / 12m) and the other half deeper, generally up to 80-90ft, but one down to 120ft or so - basically just about the stated limit of the case (40m). No leaks.
