Great bowls at a fantastic price

I'm first to admit I'm not a baker or a chef but like to ha e all the tools and pretend sometimes. I just bought all new Calphalon stainleas pots and pans and it made my old mixing bowls look dated. After reading the reviews in these, the price locked in my purchase. There are a lot of sizes in the set. It almost looks like one or two more sizes could have been added to fill in the gaps but this is more than I will ever need. The good 1. Easy to clean 2. Price is reasonable 3. Variety of sizes 4. Appearance is pleasant 5. Light weight The bad... I would say light weight because to me it feels lower quality but my baking friends say light weight is better to pick up and hold while mixing etc so I have to say there is NO bad comments from me. Other Great price and compliments my other kitchen gear nicely so I'm very pleased

Super-shiny, perfectly stackable. These are a must have for every kitchen. Dog food, cat food, leftovers to pop in the fridge. A random sized bowl to beat one egg yolk, and another bowl to sift the flour and the sugar for all of the holiday baking. I never realized how many bowls I needed. Not to mention tempered chocolate. Microwaving it is so unreliable, but with this assortment of sizes, I know I will find a bowl to fit my pot perfectly so I don't have to clutter my kitchen space with a double boiler. My kids love making play doh and doing sensory activities in these bowls too. They wash out so perfectly clean with ease.

Excellent quality and value!

These are gorgeous! Photo does not do them justice. Not the least bit flimsy, and they sit very steadily. I really like the substantial lip on the rim. These will make perfect gifts too. Came carefully packed, and not a single ding. My only minor quibble, is it would be nice if the quart size was stamped on the bottom of the bowl. Unless it is, and my rapidly fading eyesight just can't catch it. However the size is easy enough to estimate, so it really is not an issue. And no I did NOT get these at ANY sort of discount! Are other people as sick of seeing those sorts of reviews as I am?

No grips on the bottom = Spin Problem

These are pretty bowls however they have no rubber grips on the bottom. So if mixing something they will spin like crazy if you don’t have a hand free to hold the bowl still. This is a problem when using a mixer and a scraper/spatula at the same time. I am looking now for another set of bowls with grips. UPDATE: After writing the above review, I was contacted by the company who was sorry to hear about my disappointment with the product and they refunded half my purchase & directed me to another set of bowls I may be happier with. I am upgrading to five stars for service even though I didn’t like the bowls.

Finally - stainless bowls for home and they are the BEST

I used to be culinary and worked my fair share of restaurants but my home had been missing these bowls for a long time. I knew I wanted restaurant quality but didn't want to pay fortune. Bingo - these are it. One of the best kitchen investments I made to finally add. They are light bowls but they are definitely sturdy and I honestly don't think I could point out any difference to those in my old restaurants. Easy cleanup with stainless steel and has multiple sizes that was also great plus for the price. If your questioning these or a different set, GO WITH THESE!!!

Fantastic size range and incredibly useful!

These bowls are AWESOME! Whether I'm mixing cake batter or cookie dough, putting together pasta salad or mixing nuts before baking them for hostess gifts this past holiday season, these bowls were phenomenal. You can really get in there and stir up the contents whether you're using a hand mixer or a spatula. The ONLY thing that would make these absolutely perfect would be the addition of a non skid ring or whole bottom plate so that no matter what surface you're using these on, they won't spin while you're working with them. Other than that little tid bit for the suggestion box, these were a great buy and I am delighted with them. I honestly use them every other day and they are great to store the finished product in until you're ready to pretty it up for serving. Can't say enough good things about this set of bowls.

A must for your kitchen

My other mixing bowls are always dirty, so I wanted a few more. These are really nice! Big openings make it easy to mix ingredients. I really wanted the larger bowls, and have used those. I'm not sure I will have a use for the smaller ones, but I will hang onto them just in case. They clean up really easy too!

Now I can throw my plastic ones in the garbage!!

Love these bowls!! I've wanted for a really long time to either switch me mixing bowls to stainless steel or glass. Considering I may need a hand mixer for doughs for baked goods I decided to go with stainless steel. Good choice!! Very sanitary. And I can literally use them for ANYTHING. cleaning up is a breeze and I love that they nestle inside of each other; perfect for storage as I don't have a lot of room. They look exactly like the pictures and are sturdy. I still may get glass ones in the future but not to replace these, more of a supplementary thing. Now I can toss my plastic ones in the garbage!! I'm trying to keep things simple.

Great Value/Wonderful Product!

I give this set 5 stars. I'm 76 years old and have been cooking/baking since I was 11 so I know a good stainless steel bowl when I see one. I've already acquired quite an arsenal of them over the years but when I was online to order other items I happened to spot this set and couldn't pass it up. They're a good quality for the price and will do nicely in your average kitchen. I didn't expect much considering the low price but I was very happy when I received them and saw what good quality they were. I can see why they're a customer favorite. I also saw that some had commented on the "thinness" of the metal but they'll work great for home use. I have 2 enormous stainless steel bowls that I bought online from a restaurant perveyor just to mix my stuffing every Thanksgiving and paid a pretty penny for them so I can honestly say anyone who purchases this set will be happy with them.

Sturdy, useful, a good buy

I took these bowls to Jamaica to prepare for a children's banquet, they proved to be so useful. The fact that there were so many sizes helped with the preparations. The stainless steel needed easy quick cleanup so we could really use them as we prepared food for 150 children. I actually left the bowls there for the church to use in my absence. I plan on going back again but I don't expect to see them because they're such good bowls I know they're going to get taken so I probably will buy another set of these to take with me by the end of this year. Highly recommend them. I actually thought that the largest one would not be enough to make 300 cookies but I was wrong, it held the dough quite nicely. This was a good buy
