Delicious sparkling water every day for just pennies!

The Crystal Sparkling Water Maker from Soda Stream is fantastic! It makes delicious carbonated water that you can flavor or drink plain without the cost or negative impact on the environment. This unit comes with one glass bottle and a mini cartridge. Putting it together is simple. Simply pop the back off the unit, and load the cartridge. Fill your glass bottle to the line indicated on the side then place it inside the mechanism, close and lock. Give the back button three short presses until it makes a "buzzing" sound. Open the unit back up by sliding the lever and you've got sparkling water that tastes wonderful! With SodaStream, I have been able to completely give up commercial pop. The Co2 cartridges are recyclable. The small mini cartridge that came with the unit didn't work. Thankfully, I always keep an extra Co2 cartridge on hand - which I have found is a very good idea. If you have an old SodaStream machine as I do, the plastic bottles won't work with this unit. Amazon also sells extra glass bottles for this unit in sets of two for around $30. This unit looks nice, too. The stainless finish goes with just about any kitchen decor. However, please note that wherever you put this in your kitchen you need to make sure you have enough clearance when the machine head opens. If you are thinking of placing it under a cabinet, chances are you won't be able to operate it properly. The machine head goes up fairly high when it opens ( 21.5 inches).

Great Way to Drink more Water

Sitting here drinking my sparkling water with a squeeze of lime and loving it. I used chilled, filtered water and three bursts from the CO2 button. Very easy to use and instructions were clear. The instructions state that once the CO2 cartridge is empty it can be exchanged at participating retailers. Want to get a couple of extra bottles so I don't have to share. Carbonation level is adjustable depending on how many times you press the button and it warns no more that 5. I assume the glass bottle can only accept so much CO2. The SodaStream is rather tall, so putting it inside a cabinet might be a challenge. It is sleek looking and slender, so it won't take up much counter space.

I like everything about this soda maker. Unfortunately, after several months, the nozzle got jammed in between the bottle & the cylinder (honestly didn't lower the mechanism very hard). Could not get it loose and the nozzle broke off. Fortunately, Sodastream customer service was excellent. Sent them an E-mail, and a photo (after quick response to my E-mail). New machine was at my door within 3 days, with return postage label for broken one, all at zero cost to me. Great company!

Great Product/Saves Money

We have been using SodaStream for years but had to replace our old one since it was knocked off the counter. This one is a little easier to use than the our original SodaStream. In using the SodaStream we have saved a ton of money over buying soda water in the store. We prefer the glass bottles over the plastic bottles.

Love this! No problems whatsoever and it looks very sleek. To avoid the problem where water comes down from the spout that carbonates, when you twist to unlock, just keep it there for a bit.
