This is the perfect telephone. The numbers and ID screen are an excellent size, and the phone system was easy to install and use right out of the box. Also the answering system recording was already installed by Panasonic. Along with the phone comes a detailed user manual which covers every question one might have. What more could anyone ask for?

I replaced an ancient answering machine with this. I love it. The answer volume is more than enough. Out of the box, the volume is very low. But at the upper right there are two volume +/- buttons. When upped to the max volume I can hear it across the room. I'm puzzled by complaints about that. The only oddity is than when listening to a message and realizing that it's not for me, if I press stop, the message no longer blinks. So, as soon as a message even starts to play, it won't blink again. We are used to playing blinking messages and ignore the non-blinking ones. That's annoying. I like the fact that it takes standard batteries. I put higher capacity batteries in one remote but none have run down, even during 1/2 hour calls. The remote range is good at 50 feet; that's as far as I've gone. Aside from my one nit, I'm very pleased with this unit.

I have been frustrated for years with cordless phone issues including background noise, volume, complicated options, and most of all annoying sound quality. GREAT NEWS STOP SEARCHING THIS IT A GOOD ONE. This is reliable, easy to use, simple options (user freindly), description is accurate and the sound is finally as good as my cell phone. No weird cutting out or volume issues. I finally am satisfied to comfortly use this phone. FYI, I use it for my router to make calls over internet. This is the type of service that is hard to compare to normal direct phone line service, so internet quality can effect your out come keep in mind. Thats why I prefer this phone which seems to improve the effects I was looking to get with my use.

I ordered this Panasonic cordless phone system to replace a similar, older Panasonic system that was wearing out. My wife and I really liked the older system so we wanted to replace it with one that was similar. This phone system arrives in a smaller box than expected, but everything is well packed and protected from damage in the box. The main base unit that has the telephone answering system in it is a little smaller than our old base unit, which accounts for the smaller box. The handheld phones are a small enough size to carry around comfortably if desired but large enough to provide decent volume. The system comes with belt clips that can be attached to the handheld phones if desired. Each of the phones operates with two AAA sized rechargeable NiMH batteries (included), and the system is designed so stored battery power in the handheld phones can be used to power the system in the event of a power failure. The answering system can be easily turned on or off with the press of a button on the base unit or by one of the handheld phones depending on your needs. In our case we have voicemail so the answering system is an unnecessary feature. I did discover, though, that it defaults to "on" right out of the box and will answer a call after 3 rings. It recorded a junk phone call, and the recording was good. You can adjust the length of recording time available for a message, and messages are easy to listen to and delete. There is a large numeric display that shows how many phone messages have been recorded, and a light on the top of the phone will also flash to tell you there are recorded messages to hear. Our cats have a tendency to march on top of the phone and can accidentally turn the answering machine on by stepping on the button on the base unit. You can easily tell if the answering system is on or off, though, by whether or not the numeric display is lit. Voice clarity and volume is good on the handsets. There is no audible noise or interference with sound quality. The handsets can be used as speakerphones, and they can also be used as an intercom system. There is a locator function built into the base unit that can help you find a lost handset. Panasonic sells additional handsets that can be paired with the system to extend the number of handsets in your home. It is expensive to do this, though, and is more cost effective to simply buy an additional system and pair them together. In our case, between our older system and this new one we have five functional phone handsets scattered about the house which more than meets our needs. Overall, my wife and I are very happy with this Panasonic cordless phone system. It has good voice quality, is inexpensive and very versatile. One caveat, though. The phone system uses a larger number of numeric codes to program various things it can be configured to do. They are listed in the included owner's manual, which you will want to keep in a safe place for future reference. The manual can also be downloaded as a .pdf file from the Panasonic web site.

I sorted flipped out when I saw the 40 page manual, but it turns out that this one is relatively intuitive. I've had no trouble setting anything from the get go (ah, one false start) and unlike the former make I had, I don't have to continually review the manual to figure out what to do. Best part is the blocking feature. After subscribing to ever no call list known to humankind--and had all of them ignored--I had taken to abusing people, shouting, and then, best of all, getting phishing calls from the "IRS" and "Microsoft" That's done. They call, I block. Period

I replaced my old ancient Panasonic phones with these newer models. I am amazed at how phones have changed over the years! It has so many features that it's hard to know where to start. Each time I read through the manual, I discover something else new! All three phones have three settings for alarms. I could have a total of 9 alarms going off! I set my bedroom up with an alarm. Much nicer than a blaring clock or blasting radio! My favorite feature is the last button on the bottom row.. CALL BLOCK!! I have used that one a LOT and now I hardly ever get an "unknown caller". It will also locate your sell phone for you or act as a baby monitor. It has many more features but you get the idea. Well worth the money.

I was looking for a Panasonic multi phone capability. I did NOT want bluetooth. I wanted an earphone jack on each phone. I wanted individule rechargeable batteries, not battery packs. I wanted a good talking caller ID. This phone has all that. It takes a lot of work to find phones, not because they are not out there, but because Amazon and other sellers do a poor job of listing the phone features. I finally had to contact Panasonic.

Love this phone for the ability to block so many unwanted calls. My old phone could block only 30 calls. I now can block all those annoying tele-marketers

This Panasonic cordless phone has worked well so far. I received it less than a month ago. I like the larger numbers and the larger display which allows me to see who is calling without having to quickly find my glasses. It also has a feature that will announce who is calling. A big plus is that it allows you to block up to 250 telemarketers, a feature that I use constantly. It has other features that I have not used, i.e., voice paging, baby monitor. I have no complaints, and plan to purchase again as a Christmas gift for a friend who has an obnoxious old phone.

Love this phone system! Especially love that I can block undesired callers. Even though we are on a Do Not Call List, callers ignore that fact. Now I can block them when they call. I take great delight in doing that also! We use the speaker phone feature the most. The calls are clear and easy to hear when on speaker, which is why we use this feature so much. We have call waiting service with our phone provider. This phone will let you know who is calling when you are on an existing call. My older cordless phone did not have this feature and I really like that the Panasonic phone does. The phone also announces who is calling when the phone is ringing (provided you have entered the phone numbers in your phone book menu prior). So, even when I am not near to the phone to see who is calling, the phone announces who it is. We also like that the bar on the top of the phone lights up periodically if someone has left a message on the answering machine. That is very helpful as well. The phone was easy to set up using the menu, even for old people like us. We are very pleased with our purchase, and would highly recommend to others.
