I bought this to use as a way to contain our dry sensory play & it's perfect for it. We've played with dried rice and dirt in it and it's so easy to clean and contains all of our mess. I was looking at folding dog baths for this purpose but this was way cheaper. If you use it for this, just remember that it's very flexible so it's not made to contain your child, especially an older one.

I bought this to replace a blowup ball pit that deflated on my two toddler grandchildren. They had 200 balls in the blowup ball pit and since 200 balls did little to fill up the Eggsnow Ball Pit I purchased 400 more from little tykes on deal of the day in Dec. and with 600 balls they are having a blast. My daughter added some type of padding to the bottom because they jump and get rambunctious when playing. My daughter says the kids love their new ball pit because and it is provides a lot more room for play. This ball pit folds up into a smaller package for storage.

Good size pit and seems to be constructed well. I bought 300 balls (size 2.3 in) and it doesn’t even fill it up halfway, I think you would need 800 balls to fill it up completely if that’s what you wanted. I am happy with it though, if I get in I displace some of the balls so that it goes up higher on my three-year-old and one-year-old. My three old is the one enjoying it most. The photo is of my one year-old in the ball pit so you can get an idea of the size.

Great ball pit. Big enough for a couple kids but not too big. We are using it with 200 intex 3 1/8" balls.

Durable and well made, great for a ball pit or plush toy pit. The colors are very nice and bright. 400 standard balls fill it up almost halfway to the top. It folds back up really nicely and like some up the pop up tents on here has no discernible smell.

I got this for my pet pig, because they like to root around for their food and the ball pit makes it a challenge for him. It took a total of 300 of those "click N play" balls to fill it as shown in the pic I included. I'm not sure what size they are in inches, but I think all of the crush proof balls by click n play are the same size. Since he's a clumsy, awkward animal, he does tend to drag the edges in with him when he hops in and causes them to fold in, but he doesn't seem to care that much as long as he gets his snacks lol. Good size and nice design, fair price. I don't have kids but would definitely be a good size for a toddler I'd think. It's like a fair sized kiddie pool in diameter with walls a little higher than the average kids' pool.

We purchased this ball pit for our 15 month old for Christmas, thinking it would be something that she would enjoy, but would also be easy enough to put away so as to not become a permanent living room fixture. The ball pit itself is easy to pop open, and stays upright with ease. It's like a giant pop-up hamper. The fact that you can fold it back down to a virtually flat shape makes storage very easy (it's currently stored under the couch), but you can also twist it up and put it back in the provided storage bag. We bought 400 balls for this pit, but feel that an additional 200 would be ideal. That being said, however, 400 balls was perfect for a 4 year old and a 1 year old to play in.

My children love climbing in boxes and playing with balls/easter eggs and jumping on them or throwing them around. My husband and I have ben wanting to purchase a ball pit for this purpose for them, but space is a concern. I cam across this item and couldn't pass it up! It is the perfect size for my 3 (2 year old twins and a 5 year old) to play in together. The fact that the sides are flexible means my kids can climb in and out on their own easily. Then when it is time to clean up, we throw all the balls back in and use binder clips to pull the sides together to close it up. When I need to completely put it away, it EASILY collapses down and goes right back into its tiny circular bag for easy storage. I can fit it in a kitchen draw, if that helps with sizing!

Following reviews, I bought this fold-up ball pit and 400 balls for my youngest grandson's first birthday--hoping his brother (4) and sister (6) might be able to take a turn in it. Forty-two inches across is actually a largish size and 400 balls fill it nicely. The birthday boy was frightened when he was put into it. His father felt the need to get in it with him to prove how much fun it was. The little guy kept on crying until he was lifted out, but he was quite willing to sit outside the pit, bend the side, grab balls, and throw them back in repeatedly. Then his siblings and their 10-year-old cousin--all three of them--squeezed in together They covered each other with balls, pelted each other, and collected balls to put back in. .The 4-year old moved it to facilitate jumping off the sofa into it. When their 5-year old cousin joined in, he got them to dump out all the balls, turn it over and get under it for a tornado shelter. Then he suggested collecting all the blue balls to dump on top of it. Sister stayed underneath. Suddenly she raised up. All the blue balls went flying into the air. This was so wonderful, it had to be repeated for each color. The birthday boy watched the show.with delight. At the time to go home, his mother said, "This is easy clean-up.." She got the kids to see how fast they could toss all the balls back in the pit. Others had told me I'd be in the dog house with the parents for this gift, so I was relieved that it was a success.

Used as a ball pit after using a pack and play and then a kiddy pool. It is not “huge” though two toddlers can fit comfortably, I feel it has a comparable footprint to the hard kiddy pool I was using, but it has high sides, allowing more balls and keeping them under control a little more. We have 400 6.5 cm balls, which is fun for my three year old and plenty for my 9 mo old, though I might get a few more (I mean once you start down the path). We started with some balls in a diaper box with 9 mo old and he was a little overwhelmed in this, but is now very comfortable. He can also push down the side and crawl in/out, which I like. Since the balls are expensive, I feel you can get away with 200 balls per year age pretty easily.
