Great for a little boost

I'm short so have trouble reaching stuff on shelves. It's both annoying and insightful having a full blown ladder in the hallway! So I finally remembered there's.such a thing as a step stool! This stool is seriously sturdy, compact enough folded up to fit between the wall and my dryer and wonderfully handy! I don't have to put up with the loving teasing from my taller kids and husband when I ask them to reach something for me. LOVE IT!!

I am short and I hate to climb. With this step stool I feel secure... finally!

I wanted a step stool that would be sturdy and wouldn't wobble the way they tend to do. This stepstool is fantastic! I think it's so stable because the back legs are one solid piece. It also has that great grip able hand rail at the top to help me steady myself as I climb. It opens smoothly and closes easily. It has a maximum weight of 330lbs, but do you know what that means? It's made to last! There are nice treads on the steps too! I would recommend this to ANYONE needing a stepstool. Even if you don't need a larger one. I could see this as being especially nice for the elderly. It weighs 11 pounds but you don't have to worry about it tipping over while they are on it. Most people can handle picking up 11 pounds. I've been healing from a particularly bad back injury and I can manage it. My 7 year old grandson can carry it too. Fits the job!

Step ladder arrived in time for big painting project. Husband 230 lbs and needs this heavy duty ladder. I worked great, is stable and met our needs well. Always make sure it is fully open and do not stand on edge of step which is just common sense I think. It is great product.

Good quality step stool, recommended

We first purchased a step stool from a Big Box store and was quite disappointed. Stool wobbled when opened due to uneven legs and it felt flimsy. The straight back / handle limited full use of the top step and pressed uncomfortably into your legs when standing at the top. We took it back and ordered this one. We couldn't be happier with the purchase. The Delxo stool is of quality construction and feels solid. Stool is firmly grounded when open. The curved, foam cover, chair back / handle not only provides good leg room or seating room on the top step, but it protects the walls when stored in our closet. The large vinyl / rubber covers on each step provides sure non-slip footing when in use. We have used it numerous times since it arrived for painting and decorating projects and as a quick extra chair when visitors arrived. I'm a big guy at 270 lbs and this stool provides a solid base when working from the top step compared to a small 3 step ladder I had used previously. In the "Easy to Fold" category I would have given this step stool 5 stars, but the release catch could be better designed for easier use. It takes a little getting use to in releasing it. The catch would have been better if it was spring loaded and had a bar, tab or button to release it. Not a deal breaker, but it is worth mentioning.

Was exactly what I was looking for. I am 5 feet 4 inches tall and am a plus size women. This ladder lets me reach the top cabinets in my kitchen and is very sturdy. I don't feel like I am going to fall though it. Is padded and grin is nice and it's thin when folded for easy storage. I would recommend this item to anyone in need of a step ladder for in house use.

Nice design, excellent build quality... and a fair price!

This is a very nice folding stool for the house. I used to have a more compact two-step stool that was sort of like this, but without the top hoop or handle. But this one is more substantial (heavier duty with slightly wider steps), yet is still compact in that it folds up to just two or three inches wide. My old stool failed after a few years-- the steps started to fold in and bend. This one looks more promising and it will be nice to have something to hold onto when you're on the top step and start to topple!

Very solidly built and well designed. Only criticism is that the clear plastic sheeting wrapped around the latter inside its cardboard shipping box was quite difficult to remove and might not even have been necessary. Ladder came with some ugly - but doubtlessly required - safety instructions on stickers that I had a lot of difficulty removing. The instructions contained such "brilliant" observations as "because the ladder is metal it conducts electricity." These safety stickers should be made easy to peel off.

Very Pleased

I am very pleased with my purchase. As a plus size woman over sixty, this ladder makes me feel safe and secure while using it. It is light enough for me to carry without any problems, yet built very sturdy. Highly recommend this step ladder.

Outstanding Quality And Safety

The construction of this step-stool is outstanding. It is made of strong materials, nicely finished and comes with deep steps that are covered with grooved rubber treading. There is a strong hoop at the top of the stool that is covered with a rubber coating. The height of the hoop make it easy to steady yourself when climbing to the top step and working at that level. The rubber treading and deep steps make it much more likely that the person using the stool will remain confident that they will remain in a balanced position while working over their head. This is a vey safe platform to work from, even for seniors.

Works Great

We had an accident and destroyed a previous step stool. This is the replacement. One major criteria was the new one had to be able to be used as a chair for one of the grandchildren. This is perfect. It has a bowed back that allows one to sit on the top step and use it as a chair. It also works great as an ordinary step stool. We don'e have a problem with the release latch. It is actually a good safety feature... just a quick push and it is released. Not a problem. Overall 5 stars for this stool.
