Great bag with an odd name

IT shipped quickly and did not really have any kind if odor other than a "new" smell. Since I was using it the next day, I wiped down the inside ofh bag and pockets with a dryer sheet. I also rubbed a dryer sheet on the zippers. The zippers were not sticky but the dryer sheet made than even better. This is the first duffel I have seen with extension zippers to add some length and it works great. I put a pair of my size 11 running shoes, a pair of 36 x 36 jeans, a pair of full length cargo pants, a belt, my toiletries bag, some polo shirts and a belt in this bag and could have put in more. Underwear and socks went into the end pocket. I did not try to put my large laptop in it as it would have been a stretch considering that I already had in it.

Very Handsome Bag and Big

I purchased two of these, one for my wife and one for me. The quality is very good with smooth zippers with high quality leather pulls that are riveted on and seem very durable. The size is exactly what I needed for a three day trip. I loaded 3 pairs of jeans, 4 long sleeve shirts, 3 pairs of socks and 3 pairs of briefs, slippers and two books with some room to spare. I actually had to zip the two side extenders to tighten up the bag. The end compartments are generous in size allowing me to put in shaving cream, razor, a large contact solution, hairbrush and some room to spare. The front zip pouch is quite long and has plenty of capacity. The shoulder strap is a plus and is quite nice and handy. Some reviewers felt the clips were insufficient but I find them to be adequate. For the money, you can't go wrong.

Nearly perfect, but depends on your size need...

I debated between a 4 and a 5 star rating for this and settled on the 5. Pros: Great, sturdy bag - holds up well even when empty Sturdy material - not worried about it falling apart Comfortable strap including padded shoulderpad Plenty of pockets in and outside the bag Can expand slightly to make it a little bigger Great looking in color and design Cons: Not quite as big as I would like but this is very subjective No "shoe compartment" to put my stinky sneakers Neither of the cons are enough to bother me. Mainly because I can fit the sneakers in the main compartment with my other things and it isn't that big of a deal. Since the size thing is a personal thing, I can't knock the bag for that. Overall it is a great bag that is sturdy, strong, and looks great.

Inspect bag thoroughly before use. Great Bag

The first bag I received had a defect with the expander zipper on one side (the zipper track was sewn to close to the fabric so it wouldn't close/open). I promptly returned it and purchased a 2nd one with no hassle. This is a great looking, durable, large duffle bag with lots of practical pockets. From reading other reviews I made sure to closely inspect the shoulder strap. The clasps are not designed for excess weight and I believe the clasps will eventually give out and become inoperable if the bag is used to haul a lot of weight. I rated this 4 stars because I had to return the first one and the potential clasps issues. Otherwise this is a great bag for the price.- Update: 07/14/17: Having used this bag for a few weeks and even stuffed if full as a carry on bag at the airport. I have updated this to 5 stars. This bag is exceptional.

Best quality for the price

Bought this bag for my boyfriend for his birthday and he loves it! I read a lot of reviews about similar items on here and decided to go with this one and I'm glad I did. The size is perfect, good quality and feels sturdy, accurate description and lots of pockets. Used it on several trips and it still looks like new.I liked it so much I'm thinking about buying one for myself as well.

This back is perfect!

I bought this for a roadtrip. I have a medium-sized soft-sided rolling suitcase that but really wanted something a tad smaller and more malleable. This duffle was the perfect size for a two week summer trip. It has tons of pockets and space for clothing when expanded. Fits really nice tossed in the back of my Jeep. Since it is soft it is easy to stack with other things. My mother brought a classic hard suitcase but that thing was heavy and intrusive and awkward and unforgiving. I am so glad that my new duffle did not give me all the same problems that my mother experienced with her suitcase. It was fantastic!

Quality far beyond the price.

Excellent bag! The lightning deal and the Prime shipping made it all the more worthwhile. Strong stitching, quality canvas and heavy duty strap hardware, and zippers. The bottom is soft, not a covered removable cardboard insert, the underside bumpers are larger than the standard for a bag of this size. The bag is capable of standing on its own to fill, the side pockets are large enough for water bottles to stand upright. One average man-sized shoe will fit on the diagonal in each of the side pockets whereas a pair of average size (7.5 in my case) women's shoes will fit in one side pocket. The larger front zipper compartment will easily fit a Kindle Fire type device or a tablet no more than 9X6". The smaller front and back zippered compartments will fit check book sized clutches, cell phones, chargers and smaller electronics with ample room. The interior fabric is stitched to the canvas with seam binding so as not to fray and can be wiped with a damp cloth, there are 2 small open interior pockets and one zippered large enough for a passport or small toiletries. The strap is capable of the smallest length adjustment that is equal to half its total length. There is a movable shoulder pad. The 12"H X11"W X 18"L does not fit under most airline seats unless the sides are folded inward. The extended 24"L qualifies for most overhead requirments.

This is a GREAT bag!

Admittedly, I have only had this bag for a few days and taken it on a single three day trip but,....This is a GREAT bag! As a long time owner of an equivalently sized and designed Filson bag, this clutch is a damn good knock off. It may, or may not, last as long as the Filson specimen. Given that this bag costs about 10% that of the Filson version, the Plambag wins the cost benefit analysis hands down. The Pros, Heavy Good quality Canvas Appears to be near perfectly put together with good stitching and easily operated large zippers. Plenty of discrete storage areas The Price !!!, I spent about $30.00 on this The Cons The flap that holds the handles together is a bit to small and, takes some attention Not really a con but,.....It does need to be treated with water proofing (all canvas does)

exactly what I Expected

First impressions are great, sturdy and good color

First impressions are really good. I have a habit of reading the bad reviews before buying anything so I was prepared for the worst case scenario. I have to say I am really impressed with this bag. The size (large) and color (army green) are spot on and the zippers and stitching seem to be sturdy. I'm impressed by the weight of the canvas and thickness of the cushioning in the strap and handles. My plan is to give it a wax treatment for waterproofing and vintage character, so will update the review with an after picture if I succeed!
