Works perfectly
I mean, there isn't much to it. I always think it's funny to read/write reviews on cords, but this one sort of warranted it based on the fact that I didn't know such a thing existed. I had an old Razer headset for PC gaming and thought to use it on PS4, which didn't work since it had the two jacks (one for audio and one for mic). I googled around for some sort of splitter/adapter and BAM, here it was. Works immediately perfectly without any setup in the PS4 menu. Seems like it'll last as long as I need it to and sounds great (that's on the headphones, but still. I have had BAD cords before). Highly recommended to anyone with a similar issue.

This cable allow you to split cellphone or computer that has a combo port for both mic and headphone. I want to record music on Microsoft Surface Pro. Did a lot of google and can't find a real answer. I finally figured it out. With this cable, it allow me to use external microphone, at the same time, I disable the build in microphone in control panel---sound, now I can record high quality sound and music using external Rode NT1A. By the way, sometimes, windows doesn't detect your external microphone and gray out the microphone setting in control panel, all you have to do is unplug the external mic and then plug in this slitter cable first, then plug in the external mic to this adapter. In recording software such as Audacity, you can just set windows mapping. Hope this tip help you.

Using on an Xbox One Controller
I had the idea that maybe I could use my Beats Studio headphones with my xbox since I've been playing Fortnite, instead of purchasing another headphone like turtle beach with the mic. I had some lapel mics laying around the house, so I thought I could rig it up somehow. So I did some research and saw that I could use an Audio splitter to achieve this. So I purchased this product, and it works great. I can hear the game audio and my friends can hear me through the microphone, with no issue. It's inexpensive and it looks nice as well. I recommend.

Just what I was looking for, at an absolute bargain
Works exactly as advertised. I have HyperX Revolver headphones with the seperate microphone and headphone 3.5mm and this combined both functions. Now I can use the headphones with my PS4.

Bought this because my gaming laptop only has one audio in jack and my gaming headset has a speaker input jack and a separate microphone input jack. Before I bought this adapter, I could only use the speakers on my headset and not the microphone which forced me used the built in webcam microphone on my laptop. This adapter is exactly what I needed so that I could use both the speakers and microphone on my headset through the one audio jack on my laptop. The adapter is excellent. It looks and feels like premium quality and the connections are very tight which I like a lot. I haven't experienced any reduction in sound quality for the speakers or microphone either. Great product at a great price!

Get this and Neewer 3.5 mm microphone from amazon for 5$ to Turn your BEATS (or any with wire) into complete gaming headset.
Works perfectly. What I do is I plug it into my xbox controller. Then I plug my beats headphones into the headphone side, while I plug in this (Neewer 3.5mm Hands Free Computer Clip on Mini Lapel Microphone (3X Lapel Microphone) ) into the microphone side. No my Beats are my gaming headset. Not too shabby at all. That little mic works perfectly and you can get a 3 pack for like 5 bucks on here. Don't buy some poopy one dimensional gaming headset. Use your headphones you already have. Note: I have the newer wireless beats that comes with the cord for wired use. When I plug it straight to my controller I can hear game audio, but the mic won't work at the same time. So that is why I invested in these two items for about 12$ and now I am set.

Does precisely what I need it to.
I have two reverse splitters with earbuds and a headset with a boom mic plugged in, take the mic from the headset, the speakers from the earbud, and use this to combine them back into something I can plug into my phone or laptop. So I've fantastic sound quality and isolation and great mic quality, all in one. Couldn't do it without this guy.

Great adapter for gaming headsets
I bought this to connect my Logitech gaming headset to my Xbox controller and so far it has worked perfectly. It seems to sound great and in the short time I’ve had it, it hasn’t showed signs of wear or anything so it’s a good buy for those needing to plug in headsets or mic and speaker/headphones into the same 3.5 aux port on Xbox controller or laptop/computer.

Works great with my laptop and phone!
Works great with my Lenovo laptop, which has only one headset port. Also tested with my motorola phone, which also works great! This is much better than buying a totally new headset.
