Great kilt! Do not add inches to measurements!!

Good heavy construction.. a note on size.. it needs no “adjusting” the size is true.. read how to measure! Use a cloth tape and don’t add anything.! This has a 1 1/2 inch adjustment in it to begin with.. I was one of the guys who believed the reviews and added a bit... The company is giving you true sizes.. the folks saying you need to add do not know how to measure! Cloth tape, pulled snug not tight at your true waist and it will fit perfectly!!

kilts fit differently than jeans or other pants so take that into consideration and follow the sizing recommendations. I love this kilt. great fabric, great color, fits perfectly and has very practical 'cargo' type pockets. Also, this particular seller is very accommodating and easy to work with if you need a different size or color. I'd highly recommend. If you're new to kilts, I can offer some advice as I wavered back and forth for a long time. If you wear a kilt, own it. wear it with confidence. embrace the weird looks as well as the positive compliments. There will be plenty of both. Also, wear boots and high socks, they look weird with sneakers. As far as going commando, its a liberating feeling. However, in public, in my experience, its wise to at least wear boxers, or even a pair of shorts underneath. Its very unflattering to have to tuck your kilt like a woman tucks her skirt when sitting down, and you don't want your bare ass on any surface you can't control. like, say, a bus seat, or other public flat surface for that matter. And while we're on the topic of skirts, a kilt is not a skirt, no matter what your wife or 3 year old daughter says. A kilt is awesome on a man. A skirt is not. end of story.

Know your waist size

At first I was a little skeptical about buying something only to have to return it back--especially something like a kilt. I think it's important, as the consumer, to read the reviews and see what other people have said. Before my purchase, I read where people were purchasing 2 sizes larger than their normal waist size. This is true. I am a 34 waist with my normal jeans. I went up to a 38 for the kilt and it fits PERFECT. I'm sure I could have gone to a 40, but I think it would have been a bit large, but the button snaps on the kilt would have probably fixed that along with a belt. In this case, I think I'm going to be OK. Just know your waist size and measure with a a cloth tape if you can. If not, just go with what a comfortable pair of jeans will do on you and just order two sizes up for the kilt. The material is really good on this and doesn't look like it will fall apart. The belt straps help keep the kilt on and the buttons are sewn in really well. I'm looking forward to wearing this for a birthday party.

Fits as expected and very well put together.

Fits exactly as expected provided you read their sizing guide. These are actual size not standard pants sizing. I wear a 32 Jean and in this kilt I wear a 38. My natural waist is 37". The kilt has some adjustability with the side straps. The cargo pockets are free floating and not sewn down to the kilt. I originally intended to put my keys in them and run a 5k but decided I didn't want them banging around since the pocket is only sewn down at the top. They are plenty big to store your phone, wallet, and more. The colors are great, and the fabric is heavy, plan to wash it immediately since right out of the bag it smells like fresh acrylic.

Perfect fit, heavy duty and great for hiking

I ordered this kilt to wear on a long hike thru Assiniboine Provincial Park, and it was fantastic to wear on those cool mornings and warm afternoons. I was a little skeptical that I would enjoy hiking in a kilt, but now I don’t think I will be able to hike in regular pants again!. The fit was as described in the sizing charts, I loved the pockets, and the material held up great over a 10 day backcountry hike. Loved it so much I am going to buy another.

Perfectttt

Wow this is perfect! Well made, great colors and pattern. So sexy on my man! I used a tailors/sewing measuring tape to get correct waist (right above belly button) and he measured 32.5" so I ordered a 34. It fit perfectly. A little bit loose, just like a pair of pants would fit, so he wears a belt.

Guys, Start Wearing Kilts!

I can rock a kilt and find them to be beyond comfortable. I've taken to wearing them for the hell of it when going out. ALWAYS get compliments (and a few gropes to check to see if I'm wearing it "authentically" - behave ladies!). If you measure as the description suggests, you can't go wrong with the fit. The pockets are great for carrying everything (you'd need a sporran if you wore a plain kilt). The fabric is fantastic, soft, and not too hot in a South Texas climate.

Order actual inch measure, not pants size

For what you pay this is a decent low-end ultility kilt. Material has a number of small weaving flaws that do not distract. Sizing seems true. The standard length should work for most guys. A tad short on me as I have 36" inseam. No bother. Not too heavy and not too light in weight. Good 4 season kilt. Quality much better than the first twill UT Kilt I had. The black watch tartan is causal or dressy, as you like. To get the right size, use a cloth tape measure where you normally wear pants. Order that number or go up to next size if in between. Do NOT order your pants size. I buy 36 pants, but the actual measured inches is 40. My size 40 kilt fits like it should. Remember: no underwear guys. A kilt is worn "commando". It's a powerful feeling! Wear this over to Home Depot with a pair of work boots and a tshirt and enjoy the reaction. :-)

The ONLY seller for my daily kilts.

I wanted a good utility kilt in my family tartan for my 20th wedding anniversary hiking trip to the Cape Breton highlands. I measured 36" around my waist right below the navel where I like my kilts and the size 36 kilt that came in fit just right. There is even room to adjust the straps out if I eat too much on our holiday. I can't believe how much kilt I just got for this price in just two days - my wife loves it and is all frisky about it. Even the tartan sett is right. Looking forward to being out and about in this kilt.
